Those TPs 💱 were the MVP for Tadams. Revolt cards 🎴 are much stronger than normal ones and often synergise with each other. They are better than a villager with the infinite shipments (especially with Legendary Native Warriors). Though revolting to Brazil at only 15 min is a bit early, for how low tempo it is. Especially, it seemed to be before: • A Tavern for Folk Heroes. Jagunços are a great unit and their shipments are very overstated. They cost very little to upgrade and the Tavern even generates coin to help pay for itself. They counter heavy infantry instead of artillery and are great at raiding. They are tagged as both heavy cavalry and light ranged cavalry like Rifle Riders. • An Arsenal for upgrades • Building a Dock ⚓ to get a fishing economy. Also, you can get the 1 and 2 Covered Wagon shipments to increase Town Center build limit if you want. Brazil is basically a hidden eco revolt. It is best to think of it like South Africa. It is more like a better Imperial Age than something that is going to rush the opponent down.
The math on TCs is around 3.7 base villagers. You get 450 resources per town center in revolutionaries every 3 minutes 20 seconds. A villager (on hunts) gathers 168 food in that time, which adds up to just over 2.7 villagers to get 450 food or so. Feitorias is worth roughly 1 villager per TC give or take. Also Lion, no I don't trust you when you say Brazil is bad. This revolt has it's place, it just goes against your style. Btw Dog soldiers are Cheyenne which is why it was changed because the Lakota didn't have them. While the Lakota and Cheyenne were sometimes allied, they were never unified in the same way the Haudenosaunee for example were. So if you were Lakota I don't think you'd appreciate it very much and would prefer Tokola. Which 'I think' roughly means Fox Warrior Society. It'd be like calling a French Soldier a Red Coat or something. I don't think the Frenchman would appreciate it.
Lion basically always rushes 🏃 revolts ✊ and Brazil has low tempo. Brazil is more like a better Imperial Age. It is not really the best when playing how Lionheart plays. Also, Lionheart often does not get Trading Posts late game and they are really good for revolts, especially in the long run. They are better value than a villager even with the infinite shipments when generating xp.
@@lionheart9015 Like what? You get 6 guard soldaddies infinite. Native shipments. Gatling guns. Infinite forts if all else fails seeing as you usually just have to hold on long enough before your mass becomes overwhelming.
Also as Portugal, getting the church card is pretty good, you get a +20% gather to mills but 5% less everything else, but they have strong defense so its worth it if you have refrigeration.
If he went for skirms and clubmen batu could've find a way to deal with the TCs and Voluntários. Also it is good to ship the Bahia card after Rio de Janeiro for 10+ age 5 Conquistadores, and those cassadores are consulate ones so kinda age 4,5-ish units very strong anti dragoon card.
I still think Brazil revolution should be buffed, by a considerable amount, by having one or two cards that would buff Voluntarios (adding range and attack, mainly, low HP is a feature)
they can be buffed with arsenal upgrades (including improved arsenal). i dont think this is necesarry, they are handling well and you can freely mass them up quickly. could somebody also try that, but can you also increase their spawn rate with church tech and fencing school card?
I did the Brazil Revolt almost 2 years ago. First with Dutch(wich is very powerfull) and than with Ports(when the Feitorias card was added) but even with the free mass of units its just to hard against some civs.
9 brazilian revolutionaries (50f) per 2.5 minutes (150 seconds) is equal to 3f/s on each TC. 4 initial TCs = 12f/s, after shipping 2 TC 2 times it's 8 TC = 24f/s. Crazy.
Wow i think he sent all his cav upgrade cards to. If he just let his forward TCs get sacked for getting into age 4 to get champs upgrade he would be 1 shotting revs with rifle riders and yes rifle riders are the right unit once in age 4 but not in age 3 they are just short on the damage to get the 1 shot even if you had 25 vils on the attack dance i still dont think he would get it in age 3. Was waiting for the age up to see a major come back but didnt happen. I think rifle riders are the best Non- aoe units against Brazil even with the damage bonus they get hit with from revs once they reach that 1 shot thresh hold.
The thing with brazil is that from the get go, it has good "eco" with feitorias and the free revolutionaries, but if you send the villager card, you now have like 8 tcs that can make villagers. And capitol eco upgrades if you get that far. And if the card description is correct, after you send the carib blowgunners, you can make them at military buildings (age 4 native skirm, pretty good). Lakota needed to age up and get those mortars, tcs and that one fort aren't that threatning on short fights but he had really bad siege and with the age 4 upgrades, he whould wipe
Yeah you do get age 4 caribs BUT after the Capitol tech, they are age 5 caribs, same goes for Tupi and the Conquistadores form the Bahia cards. So it is good for Brazil to always have native allies in the map to use their age 5 troops, natives paired with Consulate Soldados or Consulate Cassadores can be a very decent combo. Last but not least they'll always have Jagunços.
@@danielbrenner7922 ohhh yeah, if its full capitol upgrades, any native you can produce will be imperial. Although its not cheap and natives aren't the best to be your main army, it can be very good to have them for heavy cav, anti siege, anti skirm, etc
i was annoyed by the fact that lakota didn't burn that TP at his coast line for that entire time hahaha also why didn't he build that TP at his spawn at the coast aswell? he has the better units so i'm sure he could of had 3-4 TP"s instead of Port to have that benefit
Main issue I have with this map is whoever gets the first strike with the boat basically has an advantage because you can't really get away. Doesn't make for very interesting gameplay IMO. I think maybe if players spawned with an outpost near the water and the boat had a small regen it would be good.
