It's a very good ep, but my personal fav is the episode titled "I am in hell"... Bro that episode will always be in my heart... I don't generally remember episode titles of any anime, but that episode sticks with me to this day...

SPOILER ALERT: Yeah Mate, I think Naruto really catches Grief and Loss quite well for a 90s Shonen. I lost my Father around the same time Jiraya died in the Anime and the conveyed Feelings, Conversations and Music in the Show really resonated with me and kinda helped me "deal", while I couldn't really compute the Situation in real Life with my shitty and hateful Family xD I read the Manga back then and knew when the Moment was gonna come in the Anime; but the mental Preparation for it, the Voice Acting in the Moment and the overall presentation of Grief, Anger and also Positivity/Optimism (!) in actual Animation really supported me and unironically helped me get through it as a Teenager back then haha :D I'll remember that Day and Moments like Asuma, Neji, Obito, Madara and many more for the rest of my Life and many of those Episodes resonate quite well with the Losses I've experienced over the years...I still regularly come back to some of those sad Naruro OST's as well, because I cried for "Sadness and Sorrow" 20 years ago and I still feel it to this day :) I also frequently visit my Father's Grave and smoke a Cigarette/Joint there in his Memory (he was quite the Smoker/Stoner himself), always imagining him lighting it for me Asuma Style haha

​@ItachiEspada I'm sorry for you're loss, I Lost my father a year ago and he was the same age as jiraiya too, I'm a teenager and I had just turned 15 when he passed away and I felt weird and my 1st thought was: "So who's going to take me to the hospital if something happens" But Seeing my family Fight over his belongings, his credit card, his car's, Really put things into perspective of people's character and Death, What made bitter was the thought of people fighting over a dead person's belongings and how they didn't stop to think about the situation and take time to mourn.

I agree with you for OG Naruto, but IMO, Shippuden put such a big focus on Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kakashi and Itachi (others have their moments but these 3 get the most spotlight I think) that the others are very forgettable if you didn't see OG Naruto. Best example I can think of is Lee. Like imagine if I told you during the Lee vs Gaara fight that Rock Lee only has 1 other good moment in the rest of the series, I don't think you would have believed me. I love Naruto with all of my heart, but the care for the side characters (in Shippuden only) is probably the biggest flaw I can give this series.

@@IronJawsQC Cap, if you really think about, Naruto has far more focus and development of side characters than most other anime. The weird thing is, the reason people complain about the side characters “not getting development or enough focus” in the first place is actually BECAUSE the series made you actually take notice and care about them. Think about MHA. No one gives a fuck about half of the class of Deku so its lack of focus on side characters aren’t complained about much. Meanwhile in Naruto it makes us care about Neji, Guy, Lee etc. so people get butthurt when they’re not the focus for the entire series.

Yeah, like majority of the time they show shikamaru w the lighter, he was basically smoking in the manga(before it got censored out from there as well).

I honestly think that's what's so impressive about his character. The show is full of characters that allow their intensely tragic/painful circumstances to extinguish their hope for a bright future, turning them into villains that are easy to empathize with. This makes it all the more impressive that even though Kakashi has gone through so much pain, he still gives his all to uphold the will of fire.

Tsunade has always been one of my favorite characters. The fact that the members of Team Ten were on her mind enough after they lost their sensei for her to be there to stop them from basically deserting (which is a very serious crime) but really just didn’t want them to go get themselves killed needlessly shows how much she cares for the village and the shinobi under her. The Will of Fire is strong in her
