Iagree with you solo the mole or the reclaimer isn't that bad and the vulture is kind of annoying with only 12 scu of cargo space. trying to move last few boxes around is BS. Iusually fill the non grid area up also so get few extra boxes.
@@mu235 You have the salvage processing area where you can snap cargo in, then at one side is the elevator at the far other is a hole in the floor to drop boxes down to the salvage hold below.
I really do hope that they add the reclaimer to the list of ships that can dock as soon as. Getting in and out of atmo is an ache on epic levels. Great vid btw!

@@TheHavocide Eh; to be fair there needs to be reasons to be in atmo and on planets. It should feel like a privilege to "stay in space"... atmo shouldn't feel like an inconvenience but a necessity people want to escape.
I just need to upgrade my PC to play the one I have. From what I have seen you could solo, but you have to park it; get to beam to scrap, then run down to the boxes and move them when they are full. Hope they can add NPCs to help. Also, keep up the great work on videos.
Hey Mike, hope you are well and thanks for your constant support! Yeah, it's a bit of moving around but it's so possible. NPCs will make it better if they ever come but I found this more enjoyable than I expected. Just so much more efficient than the Vulture.
Imma pledge for the reclaimer when it comes back out. I solo mole and unlike the mole I never get tired of the atmosphere of the reclaimer because I’m a major alien fan. I also like flying the reclaimer.
Fellow industrialist here. I liked your positive mood on solo these big guyz. I found a short cut to this solo . But it half way messure . I got a 2nd pc connected through usb splitter ,usb cable extender and a usb hub . So i use the 2nd pc that is doing nothing when the family is sleeping .to chuck boxes around or in the moles case just swich on the 2nd lancet . Can mcgyver it from a distance . And it me and my self playing 🤣 :-)
Great content, one small point though. You move your mouse so much, that watching the video is a very jarring experience. A tour should be smooth and steady pace.
As a player that enjoys solo play, I would love the ship-based salvaging and mining roles, but I hesitate due to the ridiculously high entry price combined with the fear of becoming a frequent, easy and much too attractive target for pirates. I mean, imagine working for months to save up the aUEC to buy one, then discover that you get pirated every other trip. Or worse, get hit by yet another wipe before you can really enjoy the fruits of your eforts. So nope, thank you very much RSI but I will wait for a more realistic alternative to do salvaging and mining.
17:00 Really appreciate this analysis. I actually think it's pretty balanced, because when you're running to or inside the salvage/cargo area on the Reclaimer, you're incredibly vulnerable. If you came under attack, the response time to QT is far too long, even given the tankyness of Our Lady of THICC Salvage. With the vulture, you can get from the hold to pilot seat very quickly to avoid a confrontation, and that balances the disparity of solo SCU per minute. In addition, it pushes people in the direction CIG has long stated they want us to go: Multicrewing ships. You'll really turn a profit if you team up with 4/5 people on a Reclaimer, more so than having 4/5 separate vultures.
I haven’t spent a ton of time in this ship and have been really content with the vulture so far so much so that I’m planning on pledging it. But after seeing this? Man it’s really tempting to save up for this 👀. This ship is basically a mini satisfactory game inside SC! Thanks for the awesome video
Great video, think i'll be adding a Reclaimer to my fleet. I hear the Vulture also works best with a second, cargo based ship. So the Vulture strips while the other hauls.
Salvage hold is for raw ship parts (you can see that at reclaimer FPS missions like the black kite). . that's why it doesn't have a cargo grid and has a hatch. But you're right, you can do what ever you want in your ship. :D
I can get about aUEC 3.5mil an hour or maybe aUEC 5mil an hour solo'ing the Reclaimer. I wasn't timing it well my first flight out. But it's very doable and just don't care about the efficiency too much on the disintegration.

It's best if you create and use a second account to stack the boxes out of the hoppers so you don't have to keep running down there if using one account...
I really love the looks and how big the ship is, so I traded two ships my Corsair which hurt a little and my ion. So far loving this girl. I get to name her, she looks epic, and if I ever want to salvage I can. I mainly fly my gladius for pvp and bounties so this is a nice change. I have a mobile home. Yeah other ships are like that but this one I can walk around it like a space station because of it's size. It's like a mining capital ship. If I ever change it. It'll be for a carrack most likely
Just think; when people ask what you do, you can confidently hold your head high and say you strip for money. After their horrified gasp, then you can introduce them to Star Citizen...!

Have you had a problem where your Salvaging lasers stop working? It seems to happen right around 15 SCU of cargo. The laser will fill to 100/100 and a box will eject automatically and the laser goes back to 0/100 and stops picking anything up. Just stays stuck at 0/100. So I hopped in the other laser, and it worked for a bit, but same thing happened to it.. 0/100 and not pulling anything up.
!!! FYI!!! If you use ladder instead of small elevator it's faster to go back and forth, plus going down, hold F while holding down and you slide fast EDIT: Careful, I slipped out into space once but had helmet on thankfully

Ya know I really like the look of the vulture so I bought one but I used it recently in ptu and really didn't enjoy flying it after fully upgrading it. Also salvaging was really slow so I ended up getting a reclaimer instead. Still haven't tried it but I'm looking forward to it. I still love the look of the vulture it is a really cool ship.
I just tried this. Took off from Area 18 and no i cant land back there. Keep getting "you are prohibited from landing in this facility" from ATC. Anyone else had this issue? From what I found online I should be able to land in a Hanger here
If you have no crime stat then you are correct you should be able to. You should submit this as an issue council bug report. I've not experienced this myself at this time.

Sadly not no and yup I found that out after finishing recording which actually works in a solo players favour as it means less movement. The whole ship interior is due that rework so no doubt just a for now aspect to release salvaging. Who knows! Thanks for watching
Thank you for this video! I *still* haven't gotten a chance to take the Vulture out for a spin in PTU as of yet since I keep running into roadblocks, but man this gives me.... Ideas. Of the $400 kind. LOL. TBH I need to take the Vulture out for a few months and see if I really like the gameplay before I plop Reclaimer amounts of RL money at it, but it is VERY intriguing, especially as a mainly solo player. I like the vulture design but being a starter ship and 12 SCU has put me off it a bit! But for sure it does give the ideas to! Sadly not available at the moment so my wallet is save! Thanks for watching and your sub it means a lot!
There is also a third option. You buy a Banu Merchantman and a Drake Vulture. The Merchantman has a hanger to hold your Vulture, has 1200+ SCU storage for crazy amounts of salvage, and the cherry on top is that it comes with a tier 2 medbed; this is excluding the exterior gravity grid on the Banu Merchantman, so that you have a combat ship to make even more salvage 😈.
@Timbal Well if the gravity grid is anything like the one on the 890 Jump; then you can bring up to a size 3 fighter, like a vanguard. I am however unsure whether a redeemer would fit and magnetize to it or not, since it's a size 4 gunship. It would be cool to rent an 890 Jump and redeemer during Invictus week and see if it could.
I’ve personally not experienced this. I have fell through the ship though so there are bugs. I would check the issue council for others having this and if not report it.
Thanks for the video. it clears it up for me. i WONT get the reclaimer. Its anoying to run up and down everytime. I had the same with prospect to mole. People said its not anoying, but it will get anoying.
Not sure where you mean? There is a section in this video on where to purchase the ship Specifically which is in Lorville. Unless it’s been changed in 3.18 This ship has not been rentable.

Im sorry, but i have to massively disagree. Vulture is much faster and by the time you get to the cargo area you can move your stuff and get back. That elevator and 5 doors is not quicker.
The extraction itself is certainly faster I personally found the overall experience better than the vulture even with the moving around. Each to there own. :)
@@TheHavocide 100%, i didnt mean this in a negative way. I believe whatever anyone wants to use is 100% up to them. Thats what i love about this game. I can turn music on or sit in discord and chat with my buddies and mindlessly scrap, no matter how long the process is. I was just stating i think the process of getting to the cargo in the vulture is much faster than the Reclaimer. But you're absolutely right, each to their own. :)
