I hate hate hate it when some random youtuber goes on about which troop needs to be nerfed or not. Not everybody plays this game 24/7. It is hard for everybody else. The quickest way to kill the game is to cater to a professional or semi professional audience. Thank you
regardless of how random I am to you, I’m incredibly connected within the game, and a top player myself. Dropships need to be nerfed, there’s no real way around it. It’s too strong, and impossible to defend. I account for the fact that not everyone is a top player, and have in depth talks with the supercell dev team to figure out ways to nerf / buff troops and defenses without hurting the casual player. I don’t suggest a change simply because it’s annoying, it’s thought out and consulted among many players to ensure it’s unbiased. I’m working with the team to make sure changes are fair and trying to find a way to make sure both the casual and competitive player base are being heard. If you have any other solutions, I’d be genuinely interested to hear, and will bring it up with Supercell, but as it stands this is a strategy which takes no skill and can’t be defended even at the top of the leaderboards with the best base builders and defenders. It’s outrageously overpowered, and does deserve a fix. Catering to the professional audience would undoubtedly kill the game, but at the same time the solution isn’t leaving strategies which are impossible to defend. Clash of Clans is an incredibly strategical game, and removing the strategical aspect simply because players don’t want to learn isn’t the answer either. There are a great number of overpowered attacks apart from this - Dropships + minions, giant + pekka, Baby dragons + cannon cart, etc. Leaving a strategy as spammy and skillless as Dropships + Pekkas defeats the purpose of BB 2.0. I don’t suggest nerfs often, but when I do, it’s not without great consideration behind it.
ok thank you, fair enough. As to your question I don‘t have an answer. The game probably is too complex to get every army composition exactly balanced.
You are 100 percent correct. These RU-vidrs are disconnected from reality. Its super annoying. Id recommend giving them less views then they already get. Hit them in the pocket.
i am seeing something suspicious here. I am not getting the rage ability for drop ship and cannon cart even though i have max level but how are his troops getting raged?
I think builder base should be changed so that it’s easier to get to the next base. (Maybe add extra troop slot and remove a support slot) That way you can nerf the troops in such a way that the hit rate starts to reflect the main base easier. The biggest problem I have with the builder base is that a lot of times I can’t get passed the first base and there ends up being a massive deviation from the average. If I fail I fail hard and if I succeed i succeed well. But I don’t like the fact that the falling part happens way more. And but it seems to be the opposite for more pro players. I also think allowing for searching bases is a good idea since you can search for bases with a weakness or something. I think this might not be a problem for top players as it seems y’all already go against the same bases or just are used to dealing with any type of base. But idk. Perhaps another good solution is to change the scaling of upgrades. Higher upgrades give less of a buff while lower ones give a bigger buff. Or when nerfs pop up, they take a bite out of the higher upgrades than affecting all levels.
