As a Zeekr employee I'm glad to see Top Gear showing this to the world. Price of the new 2024 ver 009 starts around 439000CNY, which is about 63000 USD, and it's better than what you get in this video all around. We got good stuffs from other brands too. Let's hope the competition will give the world better cars eventually.😊
Then please tell your management there’s a huge market for luxury MPV in Indonesia that is dominated by Alphard, please start selling here. I went to BYD asking when the Denza or U8 will be available and looks like not until 2025 for Denza and no plans for U8.

Not only in China but in Asia in general, VIPs, Politicians and CEOs are chauffeured in luxury MPVs than luxury sedans. MPVs has the road presence - Alphard, Vellfire, Lexus LM350 are the preferred choice, but Chinese MPVs are raising fast. And lets be realistic, most of the rich and powerful are in their old age. Ever since my first real life encounter with high end chinese cars a few years ago, I realised they were on a completely different level compared to traditional western OEMs.
They use higher manufacturing technology and technology, such as integrated die casting machine, and use a more strengthened chassis structure to protect the battery. Moreover, the car companies that are ahead of the world have used high-strength steel of nuclear submarine level, even reaching a horrible 2000 MPa, which is due to the existence of the dominant steel industry in China.
This is very normal in China's first- and second-tier cities. The Chinese government has made a great determination to improve the infrastructure for electric vehicles. Now even in inland small and medium-sized cities, many high-voltage charging piles are installed in public places to charge electric vehicles.
hahahahhahhahahaahhaaa I always said stop showing Shanghai to the world, everyone will want to move there, making it even more crowded for when I visit! hahahaa

Every time a Chinese product get reviewed, political comments invariably appeared. Geely is a listed company and not a state owned company. Most people outside China have no idea how the Chinese government is run and simply labelled it “authoritarian”. The Chinese government is a meritocracy where promotion within is based upon achieving goals set by seniors in improving people‘s lives and solving problems within whichever village, town etc that the junior government officer is in charge of….and not run by politicians giving empty promises to achieve popularity amongst voters at election times, and then go off to do their own things “with a public mandate” (or, most likely, not able to do anything at all in such a short term of office). Each polictical system has its own good and bad points, but there is no right and wrong. 65 million British chose their own political system: a constitutional monarchy with parlimentary democracy painfully developed over hundreds of years. No one is questioing their choice. So when 1.4 billion Chinese chose their own political system (also painfully developed but over thousands of years) which, as an undisputed fact (eg. National GDP), vastly improved their living standards over the last 40 years, people outside China should respect their choice! (And even better, just visit China first and see with their own eyes before raising those uninformed comments!)
Honestly you need to review huawei car. It’s really mind blowing car. I am not Chinese but I go everywhere in the world from us, Europe, UK, and some asian countries, but nothing like huawei car. It’s superb.
I saw on Chinese website that Huawei has built a small European city in order to retain European and American talents and make European technical talents feel at home. This is crazy
Recently, a zeekr001 collided head-on with a Nissan Sylphy. The paint of the zeekr was damaged, but the front of the Nissan was completely destroyed. This is just the zeekr001. The safety of the Huawei M9 is even higher than that of the zeekr. The proportion of high-strength steel in the whole vehicle is very exaggerated. So, throw away those Japan iron coffins.
They are paid not to give visibility to Huawei, the Western propaganda anti China campaign. These western reviewers are prepped on it. The Volvo EM90 is a completely downgraded version of this car, most importantly the twin motors become single motors. The 009 was launched in 2022, two years before the Volvo, and the EM90 is more of a hybrid as it has to be generic and some parts can't be retained from the Volvo design. The Chinese market is not satisfied with the global market, what Europe and America has to offer, so they do one better and be what they want. I've been wanting to a BYD here in Thailand for awhile now...I think I'll be making that decision sooner rather than later.
This is what happens when established brands are building mediocre cars at an extremely high price point, with only a focus on a flashy exterior. This is why america just wants to ban them outright (national security they say)

UK based, but I've sat and played in a couple of Zeekrs [001 and 007] at car shows, and they were very impressive indeed. I'm a bit of a nerd, so I love the tech, and boy do they have it. Think of truly premium build, great styling and functionality, and near Tesla levels of superb software. The Chinese certainly get closest, possibly level in some cases, in that department. Legacy European and USA car makers need to up their games big time, to be competitive with these. It's no wonder the tariffs are out there. The UK is welcoming them though.

Bentley did it, a cheap one, under Volkswagen request, or quite (only their official support) as the Xpeng X9! New versions are arriving soonly... The price is very very high compared to the Xpeng models which are much better than Toyota and Lexus in durability! No, very very bad compared to others, Li Auto is a néfaste brand doing very very bad designed products, only the Li 9 was nice, before the Xpeng G9 arrived, but the inner doors are hawful, there are lot if bad choices, the software are not efficient, they do not evolute well as Xpeng Motors does, nor as Huawei does with its numerous brands... I do not remember which brand sell the Li Auto operating system but far than excellent! And it will be worse and worse as there are large material deficiencies! They are above 900V for the Li Mega and have worse results than 660V Xpeng Motors products (G6, X9) and take lot of risk to sell a very very quick charging method which is not cleverly limited based on what is scientifically possible, but based only on material limitation! The S5 chargers will destroy the battery or the whole vehicle as it may burn by over passing what the material was planned for! Xpeng Motors adapts continuously, they were copied or contributed to the Zeekr and Li Mega for some software improvements (Linux based as all computing systems in the world now, even the Huawei System is based on Linux!), like are Windows 10 and above and Mac OS 10 and above and iOS 10 and above... All use the same atoms, the same sciences, but differently! This is not to the consumer to manage any risk nor any deficiency! No constraint is acceptable, so it is fully illicit to not warranty secure freedom to all (even engineer) by making them all benefit of what already exists and make them work only to search accurately applied improvements! Mpvs don't sell well in the UK yet alone a Chinese mpv. The ignorant stereotypes and sinophobia towards the Chinese and Chinese tech is too infested in Britain.
It's amazing that the Chinese car makers upped their game not only in the designs, quality and amount of EVs. But their English is improving a lot. Imagine Japanese carmakers with proficient and fluent English. And Chinese dropped their ego and learn English so that they can market their car faster and better to the world.
Chinese has the same SVO structure as English which makes it much easier to learn, even if you translated Chinese sentences word by word it would make sense 80% of the time, it's completely opposite for Japanese unfortunately
