Wow, what an awesome way to make a plastic stock tank build look sleek and modern. I am halfway through the older, box frame stock tank build and I'm tempted to scrap it and switch to this version instead.
Hey I love the vids and this plan is fantastic. Before I buy the plan can you let me know how you cut the wood trim around the top of tub? Will I need a special tool for that one?
Hi Joe. I seem to have an issue when it comes to sanitation of the water in the cold plunge. I am using a 350l pvc barrel and a very similar plumbing system as you do. After 10 days of use I am starting to notice that the water filter is getting pretty dirty and I can feel that the bottom and the edges of the barrel have a very smooth feel to it (assuming it is algae). The water has no smell though and it looks clear. I do however notice bubbles that look like foam floating at the top, could this be from too much ozone or is it something else? I’ve been running the chiller and water pump 6hrs/day and ozone 1hr/day. Looking forward to your reply mate, cheers.
Usually bubbles/foam like that mean you are bringing oils, detergents/etc. into the tank with you on your skin & clothes when you plunge. Deodorants, sweat, etc. are usually the culprit. You can try a soaking sponge or giving yourself & your clothes an extra rinse before getting in.
Hey joe how about an insulated pump and filter box some of us have the chiller sorted I fins I need to build an insulated box for the filter and pump system
@@DIYColdPlunge not exactly my house are insulated, but I have a strainer in front of the pump and a filter after the pump both of them collect condensation. So I’d like to insulate them in something together. You have seen my current set up
I don't have a Rubbermaid brand stock tank, but it is a different brand 100 gallon stock tank. Will this plan work for it? Or will I have to buy the specific rubbermaid brand stock tank in order for the dimensions to work out the same
