You managed to capture and explain the visceral strength of that subwoofer really good. I doubt any video can truly explain what you experienced, but it looked like that subwoofer was doing a number on that room, and probably your body. I doubt any company would ever even try to beat that.
If I can get anybody to help me with definitely whoop that woofer to pieces. I was thinking of the greatest bass note and probably why people hear weird noises around the world like that trumpet sound.... Is when you use the haarp to stretch the ionosphere and snap it back. Whooommmp!
I wonder how efficient it is. I designed a pair horn loaded 21" subs for a local cinema and they really shake the building. They go +-3db from 60 to 16hz measured from the middle seat.
Congratulations to the Arlev Cinema folks for putting this amazing theater together with so many innovations and for Shane for making this video. This was as wild as going on some kind of ride! It reminded me of the Bourne Stuntacular at Universal and the awe of seeing that for the first time. I don't believe it was your intention but you have succeeded in making my real IMAX theater in my area look bad in comparison and I always considered myself lucky to have access to one. I should hate you 😀😀😀
Hey Shane this review was so anticipated and you did not disappoint!!!!!! I could tell from your reaction in the theater that you were truly blown away from the performance. One thing I like about your reviews is that you stay objective and tell your subscribers reality from fiction. In other words you keep it real. This theater is truly an End Game Theater on every level. Thank you for all your effort. Time to take a trip to Deutschland
@@therealshanelee Yeah, you nailed it buddy! This takes the cake for craziest stuff we've seen in a while. Now, I'll be disappointed when I go to my IMAX theater.
This is a truly impressive unbelievable theater. OMG. I wish I could experience it. I doubt I'll ever leave the USA. I'm sure if they built a theater like that in the United States you could probably ask $100 dollars per person for a movie. A screening of Star Wars movie for example would draw large crowds. Fantastic!
dang, what an idea there. a special theater for bassheads with one of these giant subwoofers. would probably need to either be located well away from anything else, or a custom built concrete bunker.
My issue with a system like this is what construction options are there to completely lock down the room. Having the room construction bottom out but not the speakers doesn't mean it's better. Even in my theater, using two 18" sonosubs, door knobs and other small areas of the room will make sound when the low end kicks in. A room with this much muscle will have no choice but to distract from the presentation with a physical earthquake effect on the room itself.
I don’t think you quite understand the pressure all 21 subs are producing. You’d have to have an empty concrete bunker for it to not have anything interact with the pressure levels. This isn’t just a spare room with door knobs and furniture. Everything is securely bolted down. It literally takes an earthquake to move it as you said. And normal folks wouldn’t be listening at these demo levels.
Flaps like a kicker...Probably just stuff in the room shaking around. Coming from the car audio world, I couldnt help but laugh and think "Got some kicker slapping sound coming from the back" haha. But yeeee, Usually do infrasonic bass for car audio, for that"Bass you cannot hear but bass you can feel" because its 1-10hz, and everyones first-time experiencing infrasonic bass is always a fun treat recording their reaction, cuz people arent use to their body/eyes shaking, without hearing it xD
i remember reading stories about the ceilings coming apart in some of the older theaters back when they installed the "sensurround" subwoofers for jaws back in the 1970s. i'm sure this is many many levels above that - damn i would love to experience this but i assume it is not open to the public
thats a load of BS, a modern class D amp consumes pretty much nothing while just turned on even the Lab Gruppen FP14000Q clones like the Sinbosen made clone (not as well built as the Lab Gruppen clone and consumes more) consume like 200W idle..
Absolutely love it Shane!!! Just makes the mind crazy at the things you could. As a lover of bass this video was awesome. Once again Shane thank you!!!
I always wonder if experiencing these type of endgame theaters, ruins your experience in your own home theater, for most people. Shane is not most people😂😅
i bet a lot of people actually have the opposite experience as they experience the point of diminishing return and realize that it is not that much better considering the huge cost increase
You can tell where the money is in this room. Diminishing returns doesn’t apply here. That’s used often when folks can’t get the really good stuff. Just sayin’ 😉
That’s just too much lol. But honestly, if that room couldn’t contain the infrasonic vibrations from that beyond ridiculous sub, no residential space regardless of how much money you throw at it ever could. But what the hell right. Insane just insane. Another great video Shane.
I'd think even in a mansion or building a home the 32 or 50 would be more than enough to be ones endgame! I would love to take a trip to experience the 80" though🤩 Another great video. Thanks Shane!👍
I had a 21" Cerwin Vega in my studio apartment, and the bass experience was significant. Watching Jurassic Park, I genuinely thought a trex was in my room lol
@@zqzj that's what I was going to say if you wanted to do this do it yourself a pair of pro audio 21's will set u back 500-2000 depending on your budget. That would be end game level bass for 99.9999 percent AND it'll fit in the house lol
That is a fabulous set up. I really dig that technology stretching the top insides of the video and those panels the way he has them separated to really stretch it. It's kind of like the arcade games of the nineties and eighties with the name and lighted marquee plate. But so much bigger and better. Everyone is using the same lighting schemes though. Waiting for someone to switch that up. It's like light fixtures at home depot every 5 years everyone has the same options. OK we have some new Lights and stock OK the whole world changes the same again.
Think I have to sell my house to have this sub 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤧🤧. I enjoyed this video thanks for sharing. That demo of ( edge of tomorrow ) was wild, I can't imagine how that will feel and sound in person.
Hi Shane. Unbelievable. Thank you man. Should be said that a excellent bass performance/response, tactile feel etc is possible only if you have RT60 (T-30) around 200ms especially on bass frequencies. Without it you aren't able to experience excellent bass. Question is if it can be done only with plethora sub units with vast dsp (all around you) or you need pressure bass traps. Especially with so much SPL. Any thoughts?
Perhaps the ultimate system in the future will have what I call "triangular audio" that would deliver the optimum audio experience to each listener discretely in the same room. The total seating would have to be small say 7-10 people and would be VERY expensive. But to Shane's point about things working better or worse depending on where he was seated, this would virtually eliminate this shortcoming.
Before some wrong sound was even a thing and we were still on a 2.0 life... I would collect speakers and I would overload my receivers. These digital receivers today can't handle all of the speakers that I would put on the old receivers of yesterday. I didn't know anything about impedence, ohms and resistance back then. But when he says how he didn't think it would benefit that much to have speakers above.... Oh the best room in the future will be a high resolution room where there is Transducers every square foot like a large LED screen. The room itself will be a screen of speakers. So that when something is moving across the room with the panels that they are using now with the micro LED you can fit micro drivers... And you could digitally have 256 zones. Imagine the sound of a bullet ricochet... And it bounces left and right as if you are in the tunnel.
You can get rid of the visible seams if you spend enough time getting the panels perfect. Also you can adjust the brightness on the two rows of LEDs that are connecting and that helps. Most importantly, on a high end install you need to spend hours and hours getting every panel perfect. It can be done.
WOW!!! This is beyond impressive!!! I would definitely like to see and hear this in person. If you've ever watched the first scene of the first "Back To the Future" where Michael J Fox plugs his guitar into this gigantic speaker, that's exactly what this 80" subwoofer reminds me of. However, this one is "REAL!!!" powered by a 10,000 watt amp and has a low frequency response of 1Hz at how many decibels? That's CRAZY!!! With that said, the rest of the theater looks state of the art. I bet watching ANY movie in that theater would be an experience you would remember for a lifetime!
Dual jtr captivators 4000 give the same output as this subwoofer. It might be more economically viable to buy more smaller ones than one of these. Im also curious about mechanical noise at 15hz and below
@@therealshanelee Did it played alone in that room though? I thought its a lot of subwoofers plus the one 50". Looking at spl measurments dual jtrs 4000 should be on equal at 10 and 20hz. Looking at sd one 50" equals around 8 18" but jtrs are ported which gives enormous advantage above tuning frequency and makes up with less of them unless you want to have higher spl above 40hz or below 8.
@@therealshanelee any idea what the cost of the theater would be? I saw 3 racks, 8 subs excluding the living room sized sub, speakers that are doing crazy stuff, more MicroLEDs than you'd see at CES. The cheapest thing component of the theater may have been the Trinnov Altitude 32 - how crazy is that? 🤣🤣🤣
@@therealshanelee Yes! I just don't get if I just have to go to their store in Lubek, or if I have to book something, or if there are particular showings.
Honestly I think you would get a far more accurate sound signature and transient response from the 18’s mentioned. Though it would be interesting to put that woofer In a fancy high order enclosure but it would take up a preposterous amount of space like a small building worth.
Hey Shane i dont know if you have seen The movies A quiet place 1 and 2 both great thrillers but they got some serious bas you should tjeck out thank you for great content😜🙏
