So basically, Anpanman is one of The weakest heros bc he can’t fly, he doesn’t have super strength, etc, like the stereotypical superhero. But what he has is that he is kind. And since he’s made of bread, he often gives ppl pieces of himself to save them. Bts compares themselves to Anpanman, saying that they might not be superheroes, but they hope they can help army though their music and messages. and that they want to give Army some of themselves to help them, even if it’s just a little. It’s so beautiful 💜 Also when RM says he can only give us Anpan, it’s cus in Japanese pan/パン means bread. And anpan is a type of bread roll filled with red bean paste. So again they can only give pieces of themselves.

Anpanman is a red bean bread man and the world’s weakest hero. He doesn’t have any superpowers like Batman or Superman, but is a kind hero who helps those in need and gives to hungry people pieces of his face, which is made out of red bean bread. If Batman and Superman are star heroes that can fly anywhere in a flash, Anpanman is a bourgeoisie hero who is always nearby and stays by your side for a long time. BTS compare themselves to the character Anpanman. The artists said they wanted to convey their desire to give people hope through their music and performances in the song. By comparing themselves to not the world’s strongest hero, but the world’s weakest hero, BTS stays true to their message with the idea that rather than being a hero just because you’re strong, you can be a hero even if you’re weak.

Anpanman is the main character of the drawing. It is a sweet bean cake made by the cooker Jam. Anpanman fights the forces of evil with his friends also made of food by the same cooker. So usually in the performances BTS dress code is inspired by some characters in the cartoon. Although the music is all cheerful and catchy, it has a very profound meaning because the cooker Uncle Jam: it is the cook who created Anpanman, so every time Anpanman leaves to help others, he and his friends arrive very hurt wet or with devoured parts, he bakes a new head in his oven, revitalizing the heroes. As an example, there are parts in the drawings where people are starving to help they take a piece of their own head and give it to eat. Some other Anpanman friends are: Cheese: dog of the old Jam who lives helping Anpanman. Shokupanman: helps Anpanman to face enemies. His head is a loaf of bread and is very conceited. Currypanman: another friend of Anpanman who helps him to face the enemies. He lives having tantrums and his head is made of curry bread (Currypan) So this song its have the same catchy vibe that Baepsae (about the government and society) or Go go (satirical about capitalism) but this time is almost about care so deep for others and forget about yourself

14:22 That part is where RM has to give Jimin some “ bread”. Almost to like regain more energy. So basically, at some concerts, instead of being on the ground and waiting for RM to give him the “bread”, Jimin would run off somewhere else on the stage. And RM would be super confused because he was supposed to give him the “bread”. It’s just a small prank that goes on between them 😂 Once, instead of taking the bread from RM’s hand, Jimin pulled RM’s head and started “ eating” his head instead of the bread. RM was so shocked that his voice cracked 😂

Anpanman is a hero made of bread he cant anything but give bread when they say all i can give you is anpan it means bread And in choreography when you said RM is helping Jimin get up if you watch it again RM gives him something and Jimin pretends to eat it (bread)

BTS explain that although they’re not superheroes, they can still be Anpanman to you. it basically means that despite them getting hurt protecting you, they will continue to do so and they encourage you to be your own hero.

I used to watch anpanman as a kid so this song hit on a very personal level. Pretty much anpanman is a superhero with a cake head who's father is a Baker. To help people he gives pieces of his head to other to give them strength but doing this weakens him so his dad just bakes him a new one everytime. He can fly but that's all the superpowers he's got so just like the cartoon the song is about not having the ability to do much but still wanting to help people just like anpanman. The part where RM picks up Jimin you can see he metaphorically gives him a piece of him and Jimin eats it and gains strength again relating back go anpanman.

This song just makes everyone feel happy

You should see the fancams and stuff from concerts. They literally turn the stage into a giant playground of bouncy castles and slides and stuff. It is both adorable and hilarious and one of the best things I have ever seen.

Anpanman is a superhero but nothing like Batman and Superman. He is basically made of bread so he doesnt have the physical strength to help people in the same manner as many superheroes do. However, whenever he sees someone in need specially those in hunger, he gives them pieces of himself (red bean bread). He's the type of hero that doesnt have the typical powers of a superhero but one that stays by your side like a friend. Thats the kind of superhero BTS aspires to be. They give their fans pieces of themselves through their music in the hopes of somewhat helping them. Even if they're not really 'superheroes', through their craft they are able to aid others in their own way. Plus BTS always emphasizes that you dont need to fit the description of a typical superhero to be one. You can be a superhero even if you're weak or dont have Batman caes or extraordinary powers. Just helping with your own means and with all your might, makes you a HERO 💜
