Such a great episode! I didn’t understand why Rebecca didn’t choose him to make any decisions when that time came, but after the episode it makes sense. Randall will do whatever he can to take care of those he loves and it almost comes at a cost because he will put them before himself. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, Randall is truly such an amazing character.
Randall was always making himself smaller, never making a mess or causing a scene like his siblings, and shouldered so much for his family without a word of complaint. As an adopted kid it's hard to stop feeling like a guest, and when you have siblings who openly resent you (like Kevin) that doesn't help at all. But Rebecca simply doesn't want him to serve her that way anymore. It's not fair on him and it's not fair on her (at one point she will want to let go).
i know that Rebecca loves her children all the same and maybe Kate is her best friend. I think she has a unique relationship with each kid but she knows Randall would do anything for her. When it comes down to it though, I do think Kate will be smart and make the right decisions for her mother (if Miguel can’t)
@@teampearson8600 it's because kate is the least emotional of all, kevin couldn't handle the pressure, randall would do everything to save her and leave everything to keep her alive, that's why he chose kate because she supported her in a more logical way, she was always there but in a ghostly way
I don't think it did. Kate is her best friend. Randall is her hero, as she put it. Kate can will make decisions with her head, where Randall makes them with his heart.
@@me_selenadee I don't think Kevin ends up with anyone. Was it mentioned in flash forward clips? The reason I think it might not be the case until after Rebecca dies is thst Kevin's whole character development is learning how to value himself instead of the idea that love is the only way to live up to his dad's name. There our other ways to be a family such as a single dad.
