This scene should be played in every med school of the world of how a patient ought to be counselled. The paucity of soft skills among the current gen of medical practitioners is real matter of concern and needs to be adressed as much a doctors knowledge, else there remains no difference bw a doctor and a robot.
Your statement: So true. And it would be quite easy to do that. Asking: "What happened to you ?" instead of "What´s wrong with you?". Even this little different approach could have a huge impact on the health-condition of millions of people meeting a medical doctor.
As a dad whose got two babies and unfortunately lost the third to a miscarriage... this scene hits me, but it also helps me. Ive wrestled with the loss of my daughter for years now. This scene hit hard before that loss, but it hit signifigantly harder after. Its a pain I cant describe.
the interesting thing about life is how random people can cross paths and have an incredible impact on eachother, even if only for a few moments, and those moments are more meaningful then life long relationships. this is also the great tragedy of life. if only paths hadn't crossed. the pain, hurt, loss, created grief memories would not be. wading thru life, having good and bad, living comes from self resilience, and your ability to live free depends on it.
The best part about life is how a TV series.....impact us soo much...... I know its fictional...I know its all not real.... But when I m in Trouble, I always ask myself...."what would Jack Pearson do???"
