I'm the same with the muscle memory when it comes to characters I don't play often. I've tried to kill off the top with something like pit up b after playing a bunch of Mario or falcon (neither of which I main but I goof around with a lot)

Great ROB matches! You know, for a junky NES peripheral from the 80s, ROB has some crazy moves. Sakurai must have upgraded him for Smash as he can be really tricky to fight.

Pretty sure why you're good with ROB is because he's busted as heck and you have pretty decent fundies when it comes to using items (Link bomb nair loops).
