I'm 20 years old and don't know what is my passion anymore. A lot of things have changed and I think it is normal to feel lost and kind of old. Sometimes it feels like some goals are kind of easy or simple, but so complicated to start. I'm already at uni studying History of Art but initially I was planing to apply to the conservatory of my country since I was studying violin. The end of my journey at uni its not so far away, one year or so. I hope the feel of touching the sun and sky could come one day not far from now. If u are 15 or 17, please don't be afraid of failing tests, saying the wrong or jumping into your fears. Love you, bye.

i'm 17 and i'm literally so confused about- i think, everything, but especially wht i want in the future. i'm a business major, and i'm studying Science alongside it. i'm doing well at both but i don't like either. i like art and music, and i think if i study those two, i would feel smthng at least close enough to passion, yk, rather than feeling nothing studying Business and Science, but there's my family telling me that art and music wouldn't get me anywhere in the 'real world' so ig i'm stuck doing wht i don't really want to do. But despite knowing tht art and music mean smthng to me, generally, i still feel really lost, but this assured me tht it's ok to feel tht way. I hope u find smthng ur passionate abt, and fall in love with it. Ur not old btw, still very young and have ur entire life ahead of u. i wish u all the best, and don't spend too much time stressing over things u can't figure out or control bc life is the longest, yet shortest thing we as humans experience, and it makes no sense spending it, unnecessarily worrying. gd luck

Half the reason why I visit these calming playlists is to read the comments of down-to-earth individuals like you both. I am currently studying Computer Engineering because I have a passion for coding, but I've never been great at expressing myself in a crowd, so I don't know if I chose the right decision. I have a very strong love for music and interested in making music, but as dogbonebtch mentioned, I don't want my parents or anyone pitying me. Maybe in a decade where I have a stable income as an engineer I can create my own music studio and become a part-time musician.

I'm older, I'm 34, and I still haven't reached the ability to chase my dreams properly. First it was because I was trapped in an abusive house, then I was scammed when I went to college at a predatory shark school. I got one job in my dream field and they told me I didn't even know the basics and they didn't know what to do with me, and I was quickly let go. All my friends left me, and I ended up trapped back in that abusive house for six more years. I caught covid, and I became sick with a crippling long term condition from it for two years and counting. But I never gave up--and I still haven't given up. I have a support group now that got me out of that house and gives me the room I need to put what little energy I have into still chasing those dreams. I'll never give up. My dreams are the one thing that elevate me out of all the pain of my life, and make things exciting and joyful again.

I'm 18 years old and I'm currently registering for my uni classes and doing it makes me feel so drained since I have no clue what to do with my life. My family is very supportive, I do well in school, I received many scholarships and no one is really stopping me from doing the things I want to do but I somehow can't seem to find what I am really passionate about and I feel like the opportunities I'm given is wasted on me. And although I've done well in school, I just wasn't enjoying it, I always just felt so drained. Many people I know seem to know what they want to pursue right out of high school, and I hoped to be the same, but it wasn't the case. The more I thought about my future the more I felt anxious and pressured to find my "passion". I'm aware that I am young, and I have so much time to explore, but I somehow feel that I might be wasting time, money, and energy on the stuff that seems like a waste of time. And just knowing how I am not able to get the time back just makes me feel worse. I hope that one day I figure this out and actually do the things I'm passionate about while living a comfortable life.

no one is for sure clear about what they are doing. the best you can do is do your best and be loyal with what you have in your hands. that is never a waste of time. it will help you to figure out what is good for you and what's not. dont stop trying because the worst failure is just straight up giving up everything, whatever is happening right now, just keep moving :D

I offer the definition of insanity: repeating on end and expecting a different result; I probably have 200+ pieces of paper or notes trying to make sense of how to define self, but nothing can surpass the principle of action, to the point where it seems irrational to commit to anything; think too specifically and you will never accomplish anything, think too broadly and you will see everything as useless; I keep saying the same things and I suppose it is all good advice, but if I can not see myself as human no advice can ever apply to me. I say this: humans pursue not the human experience, nor to experience reality, but pursue some amalgamation of feeling and emotion guiding the individual, which is very irrational in itself, but if that can not be accepted, nothing can be accomplished, and commitment goes to useless ends. I myself philosophize out of pragmatic application all the time; it takes a human to commit, a human to accomplish and create, and I say this and apply it not to myself. I look at myself too hard and I see the insignificant human, and quickly escape to the maladaptive daydream in my mind, where no one can see what I can do, where I do not have to make sacrifices, where it is simply a single experience that does with me, without the fears of what I create being destroyed. I build stairs to the perceived reality, the blueprints are there, but every step into the descent brings fragility. The creaking of the stairs indicates errors, and I fear for my safety; my mind is too spread apart and fragmented to commit to building the stairs, as in my mind I can do everything, but in this world below my mind, it is one thing at a time, and those “things” chomp away at limited time, all to create products that no one appreciates more than myself; it is a harrowed existence down there. We seek something, however. Define reality and expect disagreement; keep it vague and everyone can do what they want; maybe it is because the mind can not create the experiences we see down there, the orgastic achievements and pleasures. Talk all I can but, but the risk stays, and I could take the risk and commit to what as I see as completing me, or stay up here. You and I are musing along the same rationale.
@prognosticii
@prognosticii 2 года назад
Maybe it is better to ignore me, because you and what you commit to are more important: it indicates your fears, your joys and memories, encapsulated in what completes you. That is hard to find, but once found, those stairs are not that hard to build. Listen to the self, and you will never get lost, as you understand the map you create across the undefined territory.

I'm 19 (so not much older than you), but I feel like I have a little perspective I can give. I was one of those people who knew throughout high school and going into college exactly what I wanted to do. I was focused and had (what I thought at the time) a clear view of what this job would entail and how I would get into it. Then I got into college and...everything changed. I very quickly realized that my passion, though it was something I did enjoy, it wasn't what I was truly the most passionate about, and many realistic aspects of the job turned me off. So I was lost for a solid year and a half. I still stuck to the same career path education-wise because I didn't know what else to do, but as time went on it became more and more clear that this wasn't for me. Now I'm about to go into my junior year of college and I feel like I've just now discovered/realized what I'm truly the most passionate about. And who knows, it might change and I might realize in the future that this isn't my true calling or passion. But, I say all of this to say that very rarely does anyone going into college know exactly what they're gonna be/what their passion is, even those who seem like they have everything together. Most of my friends have changed their majors multiple times. The nature of college is figuring out who you are and what your passions are. The way I see it is that the true purpose of college is to be able to explore all of the different life paths you can have in a somewhat "low-stakes-ish" environment (at least compared to the real world). I'm not sure if this was helpful, I feel like I rambled quite a bit, but I hope it gave you some perspective nonetheless :)
@valentinam3224
@valentinam3224 2 года назад
I had the same fear (still do) but I've come to realize that time is never wasted, every thought and experience forms you as a human. While it seems pointless in the moment, exploration is crucial, try whatever you want, be it artistic, intellectual, physical or otherwise, it doesn't matter if it's only for a few days or weeks even. That'll show you a better landscape of what you truly like and dislike and teach you plenty of small skills and "eye", as I call it. Hope you live a whole life!

I feel like at the age of 23, i now finally found where i wanna go. at least in some way. I thought i had it right at 18, when i decided to study psychology. I was dead-set on archieving that goal and had loads of motivation. but when the pandemic hit it all fell apart. well, to be honest it wasnt quite right from the get go. i love psychology but it is more of an hobby, a side interest. something to make some sense of my behavior. It helped with my depression, my mom and my relationship with friends and people. but it felt like a chore when i was studying. like i was just doing it because i had to. it never felt quite right. now im persuang a career in arts, as a graphics designer. and everything seems to have fallen into place. everything i learn feels like its contributing to my life goal of growing as an artist. learning does not feel like a chore now. And Drawing is no longer a "distraction" or "waste of time" as mean voices in my head would say. I feel free now. I hope that this way proves to be a good one and i wish you all that you find your path and passion. I wish you the very best and may you keep growing in your own way.

I’ve finally done it. After years and years of trying, I made my own song. Maybe it’s out of time, maybe there is a lack of meaning behind it, maybe it doesn’t have the feeling I wanted to fill everybody with but that’s alright because it’s just the door that’ll open me to all these new possibilities and music I’ll be able to make one day. Without failure, there won’t ever be great things. I just need to keep trying and I’ll be like all those people I used to look up to so much. I just want everyone to smile.

Spring of 2022 was the year I refound my passion - writing stories. I've learned and practiced so much over the last 3 years, but this spring is when I finally committed to completing my first novel. It was mostly out of desperation and a search for meaning in my life, a source of light in dark times, so I clung to it. Now in July, I'm sitting with 2 chapters left of my first draft, trying hard to finish as I'm sick at home with COVID. Sometimes a passion is just that - a passion. But sometimes, they are a lifeline. And when they become a lifeline, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. Even if it takes 10 years to complete, even if there's one in a hundred million chance of success, nothing and no one can stop you from climbing that mountain. You're willing to defy all logic and reality itself to see it through - THAT is passion. And it's almost always born from desperation. So if you haven't found it yet, I'm sure someday you will. Someday when everything is gone from you, you'll find it. Because it'll be the one thing you have left to hold onto. And anything that is born from such desperation has so much love poured into it that is guaranteed to withstand time, guaranteed to be a success. Become obsessed with your dreams and passions. Don't let go for anything. And you WILL find success. Good luck ✌

Oh my gosh! This made me cry. I am a writer too. Trying to become published. Yes, it does come out of desperation. Had a dream the other night where something dear to me was taken away, and I realized then that my writing was all I had left. And that it is worth sweating, bleeding, and crying for.

Howdy this is so true for me too O_O I was super lost and probably depressed, with a ton of uneventful stuff happening in my life (literally uneventful… so technically “not happening” lol). I was sobbing and praying and frustrated that I didn’t know my purpose in life. I’d thrown my time at stupid temporary pleasures (mostly watching anime lol) and I was sick of it, and sick of myself. Some exposition: I’d totally ditched writing all forms of storytelling because I have an ✨addiction✨ to escapism and I literally couldn’t stop myself from daydreaming. It was actually terrifying ahaha. But I forced myself to stop (it took a while and I thought it wasn’t working at first). After that long time of being lost and frustrated, I was suuper tired and just bored tbh, so I just scribbled up a dumb comic with my rusty art skills lol. And it was so fun. I showed it to my sisters and we made fun of my bad art and the characters’ interactions, we laughed so much. I thought it was just another waste of time though, but then I realized I could make webcomics and be positive and share the Good News that way. Tbh storytelling has become a lifeline like you said, and I struggle to not overvalue it or individual projects. My passion was revived after dry, lost, and frustrating time desperation, and now I’m starry-eyed and holding onto it so tight I don’t think my horrible motivation can stop it- or actually there’s a solid motivation now. To use it to share love. But I had a lifeline in the desperation before that, and it was that my life *had* to have *some* purpose because God makes us all intentionally, and of course my faith in God. Idk if I’d be here if it wasn’t for that. If you don’t read my big ol ramble (I don’t blame you lol), please at least read this: everything happens in God’s timing ❤️ Edit: WOW MY COMMENT IS AN ESSAY I’M SO SORRY-

I am 19 years old and I found my passion. Throughout my life, I have loved to create things out of my imagination. I did a lot of things associated with it such as assembling parts by hand to make some models from favorite movies, making simulation scenarios, structures, and various maps in some games like Minecraft and Roblox. The problem was I didn't realize this is what I want to do in life so I listened to my parents almost 100% of the time. Like every typical parent, they wanted me to attend school, keep up grades, and find a stable job. However, never in my life, I couldn't help but think that I could give my life so much meaning to take risks (if you know what you're doing), discover, create, and innovate. I was adventurous, unlike the average people. Naturally, I at first tried out learning a variety of sports and subjects such as golf, guitar, writing books, or being a therapist for kids but those didn't motivate me forever. The rest of the time I just thought deeply about my future every single day. Over time my mind kept changing, simultaneously rediscovering myself that got me to aim closer towards my passion. I finally came to the conclusion that I forgot that my passion was to create. After all these years it all paid off, I feel like a rocket flying towards my destination. It took me 6 years to know what I wanted to do in life. I downloaded Blender as a place to do my thing. My advice to those who are seeking their passion, remember what Steve Jobs said: "If you haven't found it yet, keep looking, don't settle." Sometimes the answer you are looking for might be in front of you the whole time, at least for me that was the case. I hope my experience can guide you. :)

Hi! new university grad here I've always enjoyed making art. Being an artist has always been a dream of mine. As I grew older, though, that goal vanished since my parents urged me not to pursue a "career that doesn't pay much." So, my mother persuaded or, in a better word, forced me into enrolling in a course that would pay well. The obedient me followed my parents' wishes. I've been so exhausted and lost for the past four years. I have received many honors, yet I still don't feel proud of myself. I recall feeling anxious about where my future was going and losing sight of my interest in my third year. Thus, my new job will begin in September. So I decided to draw again while I waited. It might sound over the top, but when I first started creating art, it was amazing. Like if I was releasing my younger self, as if I had reunited with myself. I've never been happier or more enthusiastic about what I do. I adore that I'm studying new things once more. Buying anatomical books, viewing instructional films on painting and drawing, etc. I rediscovered my passion. Of course, I'll keep my 8-to-5 job, but once I'm financially secure, I'll undoubtedly turn full-time into an artist. I guess what I’m trying to say is: your passion will always come back to you. And if you don’t have any, it will find you. It always will.

i'm turning 24 now and i actually have no real goals in life and that's okay! i think this is important to recognize that maybe you'll never find something. if you're someone who's been struggling for years to find your dreams or passions, it's okay if you never find that. instead, have some smaller goals and let yourself live in the moment. for me, i'm learning a language and creating artwork for games as gigs come up. i also create toys for my job and do what i like to do (and i've never had any previous interest in the toy industry). and as reassurance to the students, i dropped out of uni and jumped into a random college program. i completely flunked and went through it all! but i imagine that someone reading this will feel that i am succeeding. i don't have any idea what i want to do but i enjoy what i'm trying to do and i think it's okay to go with the flow. it's okay to never find your dream or passion and let yourself free :)

The idea that everyone has a 'dream' something is pretty limiting. Some people know it by day one, some people figure it out later, and some people don't find any at all. And that's okay, everyone's different. The key is not feeling like you 'should' fit in one of those groups, and to try and figure out what works best for you. It takes time, but this is important not to rush in the slightest.

'what if this isnt the right one? what if i regret it? what if this makes me suffer instead of making me happy?' all the what ifs going around in my head for years, and i kept on looking for my passion in an anxiety state that im running out of time, im not getting there, its now or never.. unbeknown to me, i found the spark of passion again only after i take a break to myself, care for my mental state and started try new things, step out of my comfort zone. i also learnt how to deal with my emotions, how to deal with my anxieties and overthinking so it doesnt blind myself choosing the right path. im still figuring it out, but i dont feel the need to know everything and take control in my life anymore. i feel like the future visualization of me doing the things i love is right there in front of me, and its filled me with hope, happiness and trust. this playlist somehow describe this feeling of hope, happiness and trust perfectly, even though this is the first video ive come across from you. love this playlist very much, and thank you for creating a beautiful playlist

See, that's the cool thing. You've got your ENTIRE life to find and do whatever it is that brings you joy. If it isn't the right thing, then do something else. Obviously it's not always as easy as just quitting, but just know that once you decide you want to do something, it's not going to be something you're forced to do for the rest of your life. You got this! I believe in you!!

So now, even if I am not working or studying what I love, I still do it when I have free time, so often people admire my work. And I enjoy it. The point is, you may not be able to follow your passion... but you can always continue to live with it. Never fall apart of it.

Please keep going! Don't worry about a slow pace. Slow and steady is the best. Build good technique and keep adding to it. I started young but didn't see the importance so I stopped practicing (Only picking up my instrument once in a while for events or to play a song by ear). Now as a young adult I'm picking up my violin again and wish I'd been more consistent before. Keep practicing seriously, whether you have courses or not. Even if it's just a couple times a week, it's ok. But make sure it's EVERY WEEK. It adds up 😉

A good exercise is to write what you want, and write why you want it. And write the reason for that to, and on and on until you hit the base reason. Another thing: did you lose your passion because of negative experiences? These could be self-imposed like forcing yourself to draw etc. This is burnout, and you shouldn’t force yourself to draw. Do low-stakes doodles when (and only when) you want to, and don’t plan on showing it to ppl. It could also be a kick-to-the-gut experience(s), like if you never won big at an art contest (happened to me and now I don’t care for realism). Or maybe you forgot that spark about your passion that made you grin. Listen to music you’d listen to during the time you loved art, and that might remind you. Look at old sketchbooks that you’ll cringe at, yet find yourself grinning. Most importantly: trust in God ❤️ He has a plan for you

Just remember: your passion doesn't have to be your job. In fact, maybe it shouldn't. You are human. You are a sentient, creative individual deserving of love, wonder, and freedom. Don't take a job you hate, if you can avoid it. But hobbies and passions outside of the workplace are just as pure and world changing as the things you do for a living.

I think that at the end of the day, in terms of having a job, it's more important to love what you do than to do what you love. Said differently, I'd rather explore and find the job that works best for me than to specifically look for a job that ties into what I'm most interested in. As long as you feel fulfilled in a job however, that's what matters most.

Passion isn't like a lottery win coming to your door. You have to find it and earn it. That said, your current dayjob, most likely, could be your passion. You just need to see it differently. But you can also have another passion, and even another passion, but you have to do it in your freetime. Learn new skills, reach to mentors willing to teach in your free time, instead of wasting away in social media. If you have spent enough time in your side things, maybe you will be lucky enough to go full time with this side thing that you have mastered with only your free time, like very few others. But if you don't, it's okay, most other people don't. Don't get too hung up some legendary hidden 'passion' thing. Even most people that i listened that were good enough and lucky enough to do it, have some sort of dread of their supposedly 'passion' job. Maybe the finances and administration of their small dream business. Maybe dealing with terrible clients of a supposedly dream profession. The point is, live your current live right now, instead of dreaming of other people's future.

Feeling so giddy and excited every time I get an idea and instantly create a rough sketch. I miss that so much… Now, I’m mindlessly working away on lab reports, cramming my head with medical studies and working towards a dreary future because of parents… I hope I don’t give up on my passion and I find the courage to pick up my pencil, to feel that rush of creativity once again.

Ooh what if you helped with physical therapy? I’m just spitballing ideas; I don’t know your situation. Have a great day/night, Jesus loves you ❤️

Right when I'm already contemplating about my own future and passions... it's a wonderful feeling when doing what you love just over takes you, the best & worst moments are those "waves" of passion that come flooding you. You feel like doing it, and so you DO it. But, they're coming is just as fleeting as going, leaving you feeling hollow and contemplative, like I am right now. These momentary things are passive in the big picture, but are at present always devastating. It's like that with anything creative and artistic, for me. Sometimes I can't tell if it's something that is truly me or something just used as a handy escapism. Do you also question at times whether you cannot live without your passions because it is who you are, or is it simply your copism for the world you aren't even sure is real? Perhaps, once I've found my true passion, the answer to such a question becomes a little easier to answer. (why am I so contemplative today??)
@peanut3438
@peanut3438 2 года назад
It’s when you set your life on passions that it hurts. Anything fleeting is like this. Only God is not fleeting, and when I don’t overvalue my passion, it feels like soaring. Another thing though is when I didn’t know what I wanted to do in life, I was chasing fleeting pleasures (mostly anime lol or the occasional book or video game Idk). When they ended it always left me dry. Temporary things do be temporary 😔 Have a wonderful day/night, Jesus loves you ❤️

Don’t ever force yourself to do your passion unless it’s an emergency or something. That creates a negative emotion thus a memory thus part of the “definition” of your passion. It sounds like you got burnt out on music. Whenever you feel the urge to play, you should, but don’t make it something you “must” do. Do it because you want to, because you’re excited and it makes you smile. (This will be difficult to maintain if you choose music as your career.) Low- or no-stakes (meaning you’re not intending to share it with anyone, and you’re definitely not scheduling it or thinking of the word “practice” because of its negative connotations) if you’re super burnt out. Chase a few small whims here and there, and make sure to write the rest down. The really solid advice though is: pray lots! Read the Bible, listen to Christian radios for encouragement, and trust in God ❤️ He has a plan for you

I'm still in my teenage years, 14 to be exact, and finding this really helped me. I've loved writing as far back as 6th grade. I even wrote a short book in just 2 years, with middle school grammar and all. I'll be writing a science-fiction novel with the help of my dad, who's also an author (of the Sam Austin Chronicles). I've also written songs, but I moved on to making electronic and EDM music as a side hobby to focus on my writing. I'll probably take a few AP English classes later in high school and possibly college. I hope to get a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in music if I'm lucky. For now, I'll just wait for the future to lead me in the right direction. Hopefully I'll get to do what I love for the rest of my life!

Someone told me that just because I'm 14, my happiness while writing stories doesn't count, that it's the equivalent of "Just a phase," and "Whatever you make is going to be So cringey."... And you want to know what I told them? I said, "How about this.. Come talk to me after you find something, ANYTHING, that makes you happy. And when you find something you're happy enough with, that you're passionate enough about to do the amount of work and effort I've put in for my two book series, working day and night to make it perfect.. Then, and ONLY THEN can you tell me that this isn't my true happiness.. And I still wouldn't believe you." To everyone out there who hasn't found your true passion yet, or someone is telling you that it won't work out, don't worry, it will turn up soon. Just keep searching, and one day, hopefully one day soon, it'll show up, and your search will be oh, so worth it. I can't guarantee that there won't be bumps and rocks throughout your search, throughout your journeys, and even throughout your highest moments.. But hey. What's a story without problems? What would your favorite book, or your favorite movie, or your favorite tv show be without some sort of problem needing to be solved.. Cook books even have problems. Math? That- that's just one big problem I won't lie... comedy shows? I bet there's an antagonist or "Bully character." Anyways, my point, things have problems to make the light shows grand.. So keep forging through, alright? And I cannot wait to see how your life story will flourish.

I started writing my two novel series when I was 14, and it ended up being one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done, and it grew so much more than I ever expected it to. When you find something, don't let other people invalidate it! They're just jealous because they haven't found what you have! When you finally find something like that that really makes you feel happy and fulfilled, it has to mean something. That's what I thought when I started writing mine, and it brought me through such an incredible story. I didn't just learn a lot about writing--I learned a lot about myself as well. Don't let other people talk you down. Even if it IS cringe writing (which the beginning of my story kinda was), it still has the potential to turn into something incredible, or, like in my case, change your life completely.

Eventually lost interest and dumped it. Years later, decided to go back and read it. I laughed and cringed throughout. It still has a good storyline, though a lot of the dialogue is questionable. Still had a blast reading it, and then I actually left myself on a cliff hanger! Lol! Was so mad at my younger self. But I intend to polish it and make something out of it. I am grateful that I am in the right pathway for my passion, I always wanted to be a teacher even when no one else think it's suitable for me, most of them said I won't be rich with just being a teacher, they said that most teacher ended in the mental asylum, they say I should aim higher, I would be lying if I didn't think on giving up, there was time I thought maybe I should become something else. But in the end, I still chose to be a teacher, currently studying in a university for it. Whilst being a teacher, I can still be dynamic, since most of my other dreams blends well with my future career. I did used to think on going to art school, but I never really see it as my future career, I also liked music and want to learn more, but I don't want that to be my main career, I also ever thought on opening a restaurant, I still do, maybe I can set up a mini cafe that I can go after school. Maybe I can even teach my student how to make their own sales. Imagining things that might holds for me is limitless and unpredictable, of course maybe there will be challenges, but I'm working hard for it. Guiding others, I'm really passionate about it. I'm a sensitive person, everyone says that's a disadvantage, but I'll try to use it as my advantage whenever I can. I hope you'll follow your passion as well, fellow comrade. There'll be time it's going to get tough, can I really do this? Is this even possible, Trust me you won't know unless you try. What if you failed? well that doesn't mean there's no next time. I was so lost since I was young. I didn't know what my passion was, because I've never experienced being passionate about something. The only thing I was good at was math and science and since I was surrounded by a bunch of techs stuffs (my parents own a local computer shop). I thought, "Oh,computer programming must be my dream and my only goal". I've heard of " You'll have to find your dream, you have to really go out there and find what your dream is and pursue it" and all that stuff, but I don't know how to even start, plus our financial state is not offering many opportunities for me. I spent most of my life trying to pursue my "dream" (I'm 18 btw) and ended up getting in the 2nd best uni in my country, for computer engineering, everyone around me was proud of and saying "I wish I were you" . Don't get me wrong I really was happy, but just because I got into the 2nd best uni, not because of the computer-engineering part. Now me, as a freshman I found myself cripplingly addicted to drawing and doing illustration, even if it's definitely not something I'm good at but I feel the immense joy when I am doing it. And unlike any other hobby I had, I hope this hobby stays because I've never felt this joy ever before. Thx you everyone fore reading this. Hope you have a great day, great week, and great life. i recently just graduated from uni at the age of 22. i finished psychology, the field of study that truly interested me ever since i was 13y/o. i thought it's what i really wanted -- to help myself and other people understand and handle themselves better -- and that it would just be natural for me to take up board examinations and pursue further studies... but most days i feel empty. i feel like i need to do something else that would make me feel Alive. like looking forward to something in the morning and going to bed physically exhausted but so damn fulfilled. like, i want to want something so bad i can't get enough of it... i want to connect with people and leave a big and influential mark on their lives... but i don't know which direction to go. but maybe i'm just impatient, hey.. or scared. to actually deviate and start something and fail. anyway. i hope we all find our passion someday and feel purposeful in our daily lives. P.S. thanks for this playlist. it feels like flying and carrying on with a light attitude towards life. i wish i could feel like this every day.

I think finding your passion is such a journey, and it may change over the years. First, when I first started high school, I thought my passion was music, and at that point, I played piano for over 8 years. My friends and I started a 'band' and made music, but then I met with software engineering and development. I immediately fell in love with it and started building websites, and after a year, I started to make money from web development. Now, I'm 20, studying computer science, and working as a front-end engineer at a company. And a week ago, I discovered something called UX design. It is such a different and inspiring field. I started to take online courses. I am so excited to see where life is going to take me next :)

That’s exciting! Who knows, your past skills may end up helping you in the future, at least with the way you learned to think. I wonder if you could combine your skills too… Idk. Have fun with learning UX design! God bless ❤️

This playlist works. I was having trouble with my creative writing senior thesis just now; it's such a big project, and deadlines are closing in, and it all got overwhelming so quickly. But when I put this on and reread the part I've been stuck on, it was like I was reading it in a brand new light. And guess what? We brought the story back to life.

What transpired lately made me realize that I need more room for improving my capacity to hold on, understand, love, and care without the idea of leashing somebody or jumping into something that wasn't supposed to make things complicated. I've learned things that made me broaden my understanding of people and their stories, the ones they say and the untold parts they keep. I came to understand that people carry so much in their hearts that it overflows and it makes me see them as they are. And as for someone honest with themselves with me, I am grateful that they trusted me with the things they usually don't say to other people or the quiet moments happening in their lives. They make the colors of this life more colorful than before; they make me see them as real as they can be, in a gradual manner. The different colors or hues that make them human unfold before my eyes and I didn't close my eyes in every moment of it. Perhaps, they are the ones who would eventually open my mind more to so many possibilities and intricacies of this life.

I donno but the comment sections of such playlist give me calming vibes. Hehe! might sound miserable but those strangers in comment sections are way better than people in life{atleast fr me]. They dont judge me, they just wish me good wishes ,give me hope n motivation to not screw my life and to stay strong. To fight with whatever m going through. So hey stranger! Thanks alot for all these things c: . Rn m struggling with finding my passion, i have no idea what to do with my life or to put in other words, have no obssesd feeling for a particular thing to be sure that i can pursue it for my long holy life. All my friends are stepping ahead in their lives. They are gonna start there colleges, n m still having thoughts about this. Also every one in family is overall supportive if i ever get to know about my passion, but this even hurts me more that there trust and support over me are getting wasted;( furthermore, Every time i try to express these things to somebody they always say that "you should be knowing what are yr dreams, passion, intrests". I mean bro if i'd be knowing i wouldn't have asked you about this.;( All these things make me feel useless, i just know that i will do something fs, that the me of now will feel PROUD. But when and how i dunno :0

I've been working an office job for about two years now and at first I was really just relieved to be employed during COVID season, but slowly after the two years I felt drained and life became really mundane. I used to be one for arts and other creative stuff like music, singing, dancing and whatnot but with my job I basically had no time for any of that. My passion and creativity output just really dissipated over that period of time without me really realizing it, but ever so recently I have been inspired to do all of that again and I found a more recent dream of mine and that is to be a streamer! For those who've given up on certain dreams/passions and to those still seeking theirs, keep going; keep exploring! Even when it feels like whatever you do doesn't change anything, I assure you it does! Don't be afraid to fail or be bad at something, failure is just the first step in the right direction to major improvements! To those who read this I wish you all the best! You'll do amazing :)

To everyone feeling lost, don't be afraid to follow your heart! If you don't know where to go, what you were meant to be was already presented to you in the past before school/work/blah blah commitments got in the way. I'm currently 19 years old and I haven't even find out what I am passionate in... I haven't even find out what I am good in. Sure, I have some confidence in my writings, but that is something I do for fun, I have no intentions to write outside of Wattpad. I enjoy writing up fanfic ideas, I can't really write anything from a clean slate, even with prompt ideas I can't. I'm entering college soon, taking Business since I don't really know or care what I want to take, I'm just doing it for the fact that people around me seems to like the idea of forcing me to go into one. The only solid plan I have for my future is to enjoy one of the things I enjoy doing, which is cosplaying. It might be a bit childish, but I've seen a couple few adults do it, so maybe I can make myself costumes and go to conventions, I'm even planning to learn how to draw digitally, while being in college these four years. Maybe by then I'd have enough costumes to go from convention to another... My parents... well they're not supportive of it, they were never supportive in any of my dreams unless if I wanted to be what they want me to be; a digital designer but I wasn't really into that sort of stuff so I told them "no". hopefully if I keep on making costumes, I'll be able to find my true passion, but if I don't I guess it's fine since I really enjoy putting on costumes and going on different conventions seems fun as well.

I genuinely feel like when it comes to learning about what you want to do you might feel discouraged at first when you open up that first course on Udemy or when you take your first college class in Art, but at the end of the day if you dedicate yourself enough to what you want to do, your passion, you'll feel that rush of excitement when you code your first program or draw your first piece of art, but it's always that first feeling you'll never forget but then the excitement kinda dies off and you procrastinate and eventually you'll fall off the path. That's what 2022 was like for me I'm on the verge of graduating from High School and there's a lot ahead of me but for the first time in forever I feel inspired to get back on that path and continue learning, I hope to be a network architect in IT as well as doing a bit of Web development on the side for freelance without college or at least that's the plan. So let's make 2023 the year of new beginnings and to keep pursuing our passions, I pray that everyone is successful and will go far in life. Happy New Year Everyone and thanks for reading! 🎆

At age 25+, I just found out what my passion is and it's never too late to try. Usually when I try to find out what I want to do, if it doesn't work then so be it. I used to be harsh on myself when that happens, but now I'm more grateful since I've tried and experienced it. Hey, I may be near my 30s, but who says age matters in finding your happiness? Put yourself first out there, my friends

im 22 and im currently doing what im passionate about, or at least i think i am. things went well for a while but i feel a bit stuck now. i find myself lowering my worth just to make more money bc i kind of need it at the moment but at the same time doing this makes me feel like im doing a disservice to myself. when people talk about following their dreams, it always sounds fairytale-like so i never expected it to be this dull. there are more days when im numb than happy. despite all the discouragement tho, i think im still gonna keep going. my heart wishes for other things in life too but this is all ive got. its the only thing i know how to do decently and ive come too far to give up on it. who knows? maybe days will shine brighter again one day. hope everyone here reaches their dream

I'm 19 years old and a college freshman, I am currently majoring in chemistry because of a scholarship and pressure from my parents. This is not what I want to study, ever since I was young my passion was in language and literature but my parents didn't want to support me, especially since I have obtained a scholarship in chemistry. I thought I was going to learn how to love this major but it only made me realize how strong my passion is for language and literature. I am gathering all my courage to tell my parents that I want to switch majors even if that means I won't have their approval and call me a disappointment. They can help me guide my future but they can never be the ones to shape it because this is my life and it is my job to shape my future.

Am in my early 30s, been struggling a lot lately. I recently switched professions so it's been tough trying to find a job, though I also recognise how lucky I am that I do have decent experience in the field of the new profession so I'm not starting from scratch entirely. I've been in and out of relationships, dating, not really sure if I'm ready for a relationship again while simultaneously feeling probably the loneliest I've ever felt in my life. Since breaking up with a long-term ex and moving back home for a while, I don't have the best relationship with my parents right now so the day-to-day is tumultuous. Re-evaluating my friend group as I think maybe it's time I realise that I'm slowly drifting apart from them and should probably let them go. It sometimes feels like for a long while I had convinced myself that everything was okay and I had my life together because thinking it kept me sane, but it seems that mid-life crisis really be hitting hard and making me re-evaluate everything. Only my streaming hobby (and hopefully the new profession once I get a job again) makes me happy now, but it also comes with having to deal with social media which is not great for my mental health. This video was recommended to me and I'm truly grateful to find a safe space in the comments to vent a little. Guess what, even in our 30s, not all of us have it all figured out :P I'm hopeful that this pain at least means things are changing. Things are tough right now, but I know they will get better eventually and that's why I get out of bed everyday. To everyone trying to find solace in the comments section, please know that you're not alone. We're all heading down our life paths and everyone's timing is different. What matters most is to try and find a little piece of happiness everyday. Today is a beautiful day because you exist. So go on, Exist Proudly.

As soon as i saw the face of this artist, so happy to draw, it made me cry. i know why, because i abbandoned my hopes and dreams to do a job that'll provide me with money... And i'm so jaleous of those people who didn't let money scares them away from what they truely love, but im so, so sad to not be able to be one of them. I wished I'd become a writer, i wish i was in litterature class instead of ingenering, but it wont happen, because im no main protagonist, nobody's is going to make me magicaly become a famous writer nor artist. I'm not unhappy with my life, i have friends, a great family But i feel like it was not destined to be my life My life was surely made for fantastical worlds i would pass on to kids I'm just so sad i didn't followed my dreams
