Playing since 2011 and never caught a virus...system never slowed down. One should only keep original windows which is updated regularly and any antivirus on the better side. Gaming is very expensive in India. I wouldn't pour my saving on my hobby. There are actually really great sites out there for clean setup. From vice city to metro exodus. Keep claiming free games like GTA V in May and Watchdogs 2 on July 12....enough to keep you busy if you don't want to do something illegal like pirated games.

I used to be a hardcore pirate gamer and only used to get 1 game a year from Steam sale. But then one day my system got hacked by a Russian hacker. I lost access to my Steam account which had like 7k worth of items at the time. Luckily all my receipts were in place and kudos to Steam for recovering my account within an hour. I swore to myself that day that I'll rather stop playing than pirate games. My advice to everyone out there is that if you're a minor who has to ask for games and your system has no access to bank details and stuff like that you may continue with piracy, as I've gone through that stage and know how difficult it is to do gaming in India; but for the ones who are self sufficient and still harbor a passion for gaming, please grow up and start returning the favor to the developers for every game you pirated when you couldn't purchase. If not for humanity, do it for your personal security.

That's not how piracy works. It's much more civilised community than anything else. No one can properly explain how scene works but to give a rough overview, scene has a set of rules which do not allow any virus or malware in the crack (patched files). The crack files have to be separately shipped with the software and software must match the checksum of original. The crack is then verified by thousands of people in the warez community. If everything works perfectly, the crack is passed on to the scene NFO sites. If there is any fault in crack, it gets nuked by the community. So, the Scene never puts a virus in cracks. It's the packers who do it. That's why if you're a noob and can trust any stupid packer to download pirated content, it's highly possible that you'll get a virus. Also, they also promote the use of original software and ask people to buy the software if they like it to support the developers.

If you were an actual budget gamer, you would have known which uploaders are reliable. It's no nuclear physics. I downloaded a file from apunka games, and my pc started being sloww, and i opend task manager, there were programs running like AKDHDGEBDIC with random letters and i automatically logged out from my pc and pc crashed, after restart my pc was not opening saying 0xc000000014 status : windows deleted or corrupted .

Trust me dude. There are many sites who provide legit working cracked games and many people know how to get it and even if the game has anti piracy measures, the fix for that is just one click away. Honestly idk what kinda gamer doesn't even know that. There are some advantages to pirating a game rather than buying it as well. Such as the soundtracks for example, if the game studios has run out it's rights period to a particular soundtrack in game then they won't be able to put that in the game anymore and you won't find the original songs or soundtracks in game if you buy it , but if you pirate it you'll get that and all Dlcs too.
