I was beaten as a child by Derbyshire police (Chesterfield) on a number of occasions and made to confess to crimes that I had not committed. They used to make us sign countless blank pieces of A4 which were then used to fiddle crime detection figures. On the last occasion, as an individual suffering severe mental health issues, I was held down in a cell, in New Beetwell Street police station, by six officers and repeatedly punched in my face and head by PC John Bruno until one of his colleagues made him stop. The very sad reality about all of this is that I suffered physical and psychological abuse and torture for very many years as a child. At age 15 (1979) I was sent to Detention Centre then Borstal and then spent 20 years in various prisons. Not withstanding all this they then wanted to lock me up indefinitely by diagnosing me with varying personality disorders and scoring high on the Psycopathy Checklist. My girlfriend, now my wife, saved me from all this and to escape it for good, we moved to a different country. Nothing and no one has ever been brought to book (not even PC. Roger Bowler who beat me as a child) and throughout all this there's one thing I came to realise....they're all in it together; police, probation, courts and others. Sadly, 76% of reoffenders come from broken homes where some form of abuse could be identified. Prison fodder caught in the "revolving door" of one of the largest industries in the UK.

I was in the police, I can say that people haven't a clue how wicked they are, I was never so depressed or shocked. I left.

Everyone involved should get fired. The conspiricy to hide what happened is worse than the actual act. I hope you get justice

I raised my children to respect the law and the police. This changed when I reported 3 crimes over a period of 4 years. Each and every time they spoke utter shit, had attitude and broke the law themselves. Bullies I badges. Protected criminals. Someone broke into my daughters university apartment, attacked her, stole her keys and locked her in. The police officer called me back, refused to send someone out. Told me this is a civil matter. I asked would it be ok for me to come to your hours, violently attack you and lock you in, to this police officer sighed. She told me to get a locksmith to free my daughter. I also reported the man who sexually abused me when I was 13 years old. This abuse resulted in becoming pregnant. My baby boy was stillborn, my abuser took my baby boy and threatened me not to say anything. At 41 years old I had the courage to report this man. I told them where I think he buried my baby. I told them old crime reports should be available because my abuser was arrested in relation to this in 1994. Would you believe this man used to work alongside the police in a forensics department, would you also believe I had a letter stating no further action would be taken. Thirdly, I report a landlord threatening to break entry into a friend's property without necessary paperwork, the officer said he has the right to enter, even by force, because he owns the property, when I challenge this I am told again this is a civil matter and I need to change my attitude. I ask the police officer to check this information, she proceeds to google. She goes quiet for a while and moves onto the evidence of landlord harassment, threats to enter by force etc. The landlord admitting he is watching the property and stalking the tenant. The police officer said he has the rights to contact the tenant. I give up. They are all corrupt criminals and serve themselves and get involved with anything that creates entertainment for themselves. The whole system is a shambles.

As a child I always wanted to join the police but due to growing up in south London by the age of 20 I had been fitted up 3 or 4 times so that put an end to that (thank god). I think I would last about 5 minutes as I could not lie and make up false accusations to cover my self and my colleague's. I now view the police as the lowest of the low, the corruption is unbelievable.

They broke my ankle in custody and when solicitors asked for there footage all had been corrupted all a bunch of crooked ass wipes

I love how tough the coppers act. Have you ever seen a cop getting nicked when they've been up to no good? They cry like babies, anyone can be tough when the government and courts are on your side and you have a never ending supply of back up and resources.

the system itself is so fucked as they have to provide the numbers of crimes in the area, its why you see sneaky little camera vans round the most snakiest corners so they can bump the budget up a little.

With every video I lose a little more faith in our police force, what I once deemed as a professional force I now see a large a group of thugs above their own law.

Having had experience submitting complaints to the police I can confirm that they routinely lie and ignore the law with regard to complaints. Even when it's pointed out to them what the law says about the complaint procedure they refuse to comply. When I complained about their corrupt behavior to the IOPC they claimed that it's not their job to interfere in the police complaint process. The police complaints system is a cul-de-sac that leads only to the police. They know that this allows them to do what they like. I've come to the conclusion that the system is deliberately designed this way to make the police unaccountable. What this does is create an undemocratic, authoritarian public body that effectively acts to undermine democracy. It's not a surprise that the British ruling class would think that this is a good thing because it effectively helps to protect their privilege from the people.

The worse part is 99% of us lack the determination, articulation and legal knowledge of Crimebodge so we are powerless really. Good luck and much respect for your efforts!

The worse part of this is, it’s the officers at the top covering everything up, so when a real crime has been committed do they cover that shit up too. The whole police service need investigation.

RE: Hovering foot. So basically what they are saying is, if you were to run up to a police officer and raise your arm with a clenched fist they can't do anything because you didn't throw a punch. They make the rules up as they go along.

The Derbyshire police force are appalling. In the last 15 years I've been stop searched at least 8 times for the crime of looking shady! I'm white, 6ft5 and short shaved hair. I've actually had my arse and balls touched more by the derbyshire police force than women in my life, not even joking! In most these cases the first thing they do is take away my phone to avoid me having any records. I'm white an I get harassed, my heart goes out to any coloured folk cos they target you more

This is why every time I have had to sit on a jury. I automatically assume the police are lying. All you have to do is hear them speak and you can tell they're lying.

Personally I think all public records should be available online as soon as they are created, with gov having 0 ability to delete or alter it. Police reports, camera footage, etc.

Full bodyweight on someone's foot wouldn't necessarily cause severe pain - only really if a hard part was pressing on one of the joints. I've had my foot caught under a car tyre as the car started moving off. There was only a pressure on my foot, not agony. Just a bit surprised that it had occurred, followed by relief that it didn't injure me. For them to dismiss video evidence of their officer standing on someone's foot because that someone did scream in pain, is just nonsense

This happend to my brother, my brother went to get breakfast last Thursday morning. He came back parked up outside the house. 5 mins later he saw a police went past him and he got out the car 2 mins later and started walking home he saw police car turning back and asked the officer if everything was ok? Officer asked my brother that what is he doing out at this time and if the car belong to him. My brother showed police his licences and took out the bag from the car and said he's just gone to get breakfast. Officer then said he wasnt to breathalysed my brother as he looks drunk, my brother dont drink and he refused Officer then used force and put my brother in his car and handcufded him, my brother realsied his camera wasnt on and my brotbet said to officer turn the camera on. My brother was alone at the time and after the mental and physical pressure my brother decided to give the breathalyser and it came back negative. Officer than said his pupil look big so he needs to do a drung swap however my brother refused it as he felt like officer was trying to pin something against my brother. I went to the scene at the point after i heard screams and found out it was my brother. When i went to the scene i couldn't see officers face properly as it was 5.30 in the morning and it was dark and i can't think how the officer managed to look at my brothers pupil while he was outside the car in dark. Officer than called back up because my brothers refused to give drug test. My brother was then arrested and took to police station. When they took him there the officer said to the nurse if she feels safe with my brother and the nurse said she wants to be left alone with my brother and the officer was ruse with the nurse and nurse said she couldn't take the test as my brother wasn't in the car but still asked my brother if he gives a test he can be let go but the choice to give blood test was up to my brother. My brother refused as my brother is underweight and he doesn't like the blood test because he feels dizzy afterword however this is not in his medical record. They let my brother go an hour later and he needs to go to court to give a valid reason to why he refused the test. My brother is nicest guy who keep himself to himself and he's been in shock and been abused by the officer. I am not sure what to do at this point as this is the first time this is happening and my brothers only been driving for a year. Can anything give me some advice as i can't afford the solicitors or don't know the laws around it. My mum is so stressed as she suffers from aourtoritis and secere depression and she was out in the cold worried to death about her son who she just sent to get milk and break 10 mins before and hes been arrested. This has caused a severe trauma on my family and I really don't know what to do at this point. Thanks
