I think it's gonna be a tight rope. Maroni has to die. The Penguin will definitely fit into Batman 2. But will Sophia? I think that's the question you have to ask yourself if you're Matt Reeves. Is there some way the two can enter into an uneasy truce going into Batman 2? Idk. But if they can I think that spells bad news for Victor
I want to see Victor deal with Squid instead of hiding from him and take over Squid's street operation. It is time for Victor to become Marlo from the Wire and run the corner boys.
I only glanced at the thumbnail and thought this was a HotD book spoiler video. I discovered these guys after season 2 and enjoyed watching them as much as Glidus and Alt-Shift X. Im loving The Penguin, but am slightly disappointed. Good review though.
I see a possible scenario where Victor deletes Squid. That will make body 1 with certainty. We don’t know if the guy that he hit with the Maserati croaked 😵.
Did the lighting change for this video? Looks a little hot. Is penguin not very smart or is this a string of bad luck? Isn't he supposed to be extremely clever?
He messes up quite a lot even in the earlier episodes. • Penguin messed up (pride) and killed Alberto. • Sofia saw through Oz right from the get-go and caught him. He got out because of his latter plan and Victor's involvement. • He would've died by the hands of the Maronis if he was able to hand Johnny Vitti's dirt to Sofia's uncle. • He was caught and exposed by the Maronis. If it weren't for Victor, he would've been dead right then and there. More could be mentioned but I think Oz cleverness is defined ultimately with how he adjusts and gets out in sticky situations.
I agree it was the weakest episode, but only because of how the Oz conflict with the Maronis and their son was solved. Spectacular over story, the same sin of HOTD2. They gave oz an odorless fuel, so it doesn't arouse suspicion, and that it spreads fire and burns bodies as quickly as they would inside a furnace? Man come on...
I'm pretty sure they filmed how Salvatore escaped but it ruined the (near perfect) pacing of the episode so they didn't keep any of it. What I think happened is something like: The guy working for Oz had some kind of a master key on him, Sal took it and executed a prison break he was preparing for months. Maybe they saw all this and were like "Why do we care, the show isn't about him, he simply escaped and that's it!"
