What's impressive with Filipino rappers is they can actually sing.. As in saaaaannggg. Other international rappers, they usually need a singer and a collab artist to sing the chorus part or the melody. But with Pinoy artists, they can be the rapper at the same time the main vocals. Efra's right, they're like tri-athletes. 😂

They're the Filipino version of Bone Thugz & Harmony. Inozent One can be compared to Krayzie Bone while Blingzy One can be compared to Bizzy Bone. They can sing very well but they can also spit hard hitting bars. Kindly listen to "Legion" by 187 Mobstaz. They belong to that group. They came back on that track. Juan Thugs & Harmony took a break for 8 years and still nothing has changed. Mad respect to both of you and what you do. Salute!

Trivia: Tagalog is actually written as is pronounced (and vice vera) and the pronunciation is based on syllables. Interestingly, the easiest way to learn Tagalog is to chop a word into 1 - 3 letters (usually a V, CV, CVC where V is vowel and C is consonant) to form a syllable. E and I as well as O and U are written using the same letter.

Filipinos have a hard time distinguishing the difference between dialects and languages. Even now, there are still Pinoys who thinks that Ilocano, Bisaya, and Tagalog are merely dialects when in fact, it's a language on it's own. And even if the national language of the Philippines is Filipino, when asked which language we spoke at home when filling up forms, majority of us would put Tagalog and any other languages. I don't think people really put Filipino as the language they speak.

yoooo..i just realized that Flipinos have the craziest flows. LIke if you hear their rap they are so diverse and i've noticed that they excel in these types of flows because of the number of syllables they have in their words. The flows that we used to hear back in the day with bone thugs and in the 90s with TQ and missy is really apparent with filipino music. IT blows my mind. Edit - this was what i was thinking of in the beginning. but then you guys actually expand on it and speak about it from a technical pov. this is why you guys are awesome at what yall do!
