I think this video is actually a pretty good showcase of why sniper needs some kind of nerf. How was the medic supposed to stay alive? Well, he could just so happen to see a sniper for the fraction of a second he's still alive, then somehow manage to react fast enough to try and dodge while getting behind cover. That's a lot to ask in a game where 8 of the 9 classes can't just instantly kill you the moment they see you. And just hoping the sniper misses isn't a reliable way to survive at all. Realistically he'd have to stay behind cover 24/7 and just give sniper the entire sightline for free, which on its own is an incredibly invaluable strength. You could argue that a medic needs to stay behind cover at all times anyway, and while that's true, this is the only way any other class can "counter" sniper too, including the offensive classes. Sniper's mere existence threatens entire sightlines and forces every other class in the game to sit behind cover lest they instantly die. That's absurdly powerful. No other class is as constantly threatening. Even in general, notice how whenever Fatmagic's fighting one of the other 8 classes, his movement's relatively calm and relaxed, because he knows just how dangerous and safe a Sniper can be, and how Sniper's sheer strength almost completely outweighs the need to be cautious. But when he's facing another sniper, his movement gets erratic and he takes cover much more frequently; once again, because he's aware of how dangerous a Sniper is, and because he knows he actually has to try and avoid that instakill hitscan projectile. He knows he can get killed in one shot from any distance if he isn't careful, so he switches to 'oh shit i can actually die for once' mode and he plays much more cautiously. Even Fatmagic's own knowledge and skill in sniper's capabilities shows just how broken this class is. I think a quickscope headshot damage nerf to 125-ish would solve most problems. You'd have to actually sit there and charge for a while to get the damage you need to oneshot, giving sniper an actual weakness and forcing a level of tunnel vision that enemies can take advantage of. But eh. This comment probably won't be received well.
