Keep it stock, it will be worth more that way, and you are “preserving” it for the future

That’s a good idea. I would also recommend NOT removing the top. Not worth the effort and you’ll never get it back on like the factory did. I regret taking mine off.

I have a 1995 F150 4x4 5 speed 302 V8 that I bought used in October 1995. Recent changes were 4.56 gears, 33” BFGs, leveling kit up front, and Auburn Gear locker both front and back. It still looks very much like stock, but so much more capable now. I took it up Sand Hollow sand dunes a few weeks ago, then to Toquerville Falls after that. It did great. Did not have to call Matt’s Off-road Recovery, which was my only reason for visiting that area 😃

My wife and I have hundreds of thousands of miles of experience in 4WD vehicles - mostly in Utah. Never a Bronco but it was on our short list of possibilities back in the day. My advice: Spend your time driving your Bronco in the back country to gain experience about capabilities and wheel placement. It will be time better spent than studying and installing modifications. It is amazing where one of those can go with a world-class driver behind the wheel. One exception: If you ARE going to invest in a modification, replace the limited slip with a locking differential (differential locker). That will allow you to retain the looks of that beautiful truck. And I don't think you can do better than the BFGs.

I owned one with the 351. The 351 was about 210 hp. Yeah, that's sure some "brio" alrighty. The 302 was 199 hp. The difference is in torque. 302 = 270 ft-pound, 351 = 328 ft-pounds.

It had custom bumpers with tire carrier and front winch. The best part about it was the drive-train. It had the I-6 and 4-speed. when I was working at Wayne assembly as a supplier rep. there was a white with a blue interior 1996 Bronco on the second floor of the trim shop it had 36 miles on it...supposedly the freight elevator that was big enough to put it up there was replaced with a smaller one... wonder if its still there?!?!

I loved my 1981 Bronco. I could take off the top in 10 minutes.

I used to take the top off mine solo. The later ones with the 3rd brake light and 3 point belts and trim were more a paint. Ive had lots of ttb trucks and i used to manually adjust the toe. If you back up 20ft and the wheels camber then you have too much toe in.

Have a '94 with a 351W in it, bought it from my dad for $2500. I love the thing, has a good amount of power for a truck it's size.

The 5-speed manual was available, but not on the larger engine (i.e., 5.8L). With the 5.8L (351), your only option was the automatic.

It has 141000 miles on it, had a bunch of service done to it, a lot of parts replaced. The only major issues were battery needed changed, needed cleaned bad, and then an oil change. Has Some rust on the fenders and rocker panels but other than that it’s solid

I'm fortunate to have a forest green Bronco of the same year myself. Not an EB Edition, but an XLT is good for me.

Im building an 86 Bronco. 347 stroked 5.0 roller. Has a trick flow twisted wedge top end kit. Its roughly 500HP Its my daily. Its been my daily for 4 years now. I bought mine for 3k. In the same condition. I was offered 15k as is. The great thing about these trucks is. Modified or stock. They have a huge following. And retain their value either way. My advice would be. Keep it! You’ll never find a compatible replacement.
