Theory, You’ll disagree with this, but you’re a hero. Star Wars at it’s core is a message, it’s right there in the title of the first film: “Hope.” This entire, wonderful story has always been about reaching out to us, and showing us that if Luke Skywalker can find hope, then why can’t we face down the Palpatine’s and Tarkin’s and Death Stars in our own lives. It’s about uniting people and inspiring kids to raise a toy lightsaber or a blaster and for once, believe in themselves! And George Lucas’s amazing story has done that for decades, generations. This past decade has seen that message drift the furthest away from “hope” that it has been ever been. And when the Mandalorian season 2 finale played, bro we were there with you. When that green Lightsaber flashed across the screen, we all saw in your eyes what we were missing for almost a decade: “Hope.” Because in that moment we knew the title of that episode, like the title of the first film, meant something more. Not just the characters, or the Story, but we the fans had been “rescued”. And for a moment, we all remembered what it means to be a Skywalker. We all got to share that moment live, because of you. Thousands of dreamers and hopefuls watched your tears reflect their own feelings and that, that’s what Star Wars is all about. And if the story of Hope that has inspired millions for over 40 years, moves you, an incredibly devoted fan, to tears in front of thousands, how on earth could someone responsible for producing this story possibly think shaming you was an appropriate move. Well Theory, none of us could have said it better than you. You won’t roll over and we are all here to hold you up. Because we understand Star Wars, and because of you, we all Hope. Than you!
@@StarWarsTheory if you ask Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, they will be in tears, that their vision put all us "oldies" in tears, because Star Wars is ALL about emotions.
I agree. This is why more people are pissed on his behalf regarding Hidalgo’s comments. Some of the other Star Wars and nerd culture RU-vid pundits seems sorta salty so many people are defending SWT(sorry bro, I don’t know your name or I’d address you directly) more than they have been in the past. It’s because he’s so nice and has a warm personality. Don’t pick on the nice guy.
For the sequels, JJ and Rian called Pablo. For The Mandalorian Jon Favreau calls Filoni and if he doesn't know he calls George. That sums up everything.
@@StarboyXL9 ''Its time to stop eating what you're being fed.'' *says man watching a completely biased video* Haha, I couldn't make this shit up. You're entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts. The post I responded to (and has 200) upvotes is wrong. Keep living in your fake news YT news world or educate yourself. It's up to you.
I think Pablo just got mad because people FEEL what the Mandalorian has done to resurrect SW and he's jealous that no one had emotions towards the crap that are the sequels. I'm a 46 year old retired Vet that jumped and screamed YESSS at the sight of the X-Wing. I also cried tears of joy at seeing my favorite franchise come back to life. Screw Pablo.
Brother, I am 47 years old and the chills, the excitement and joy I felt seeing the TRUE Luke Skywalker return took me 40+ years back in time when Luke was the Ultimate hero. I felt my childhood joy, my boys never saw their Dad this way. And for that I thank everyone who worked on this.
Im 47 year old vet and I have stayed away from watching mando until this next com8ng week because it holds.emotions for me as well. I want the hype down so I can watch it clean and ill.probably get emotional anyways. So yes sir its ok to be emotional
@@doronrozenberg7802 I felt like a six year old all over again. What a great feeling. That's why Kathleen and Pablo are mad, because it took less than half of the budget for Jon and Dave to do what they couldn't do with all their budget and executive power in the Mandalorian, Make Star Wars Great again.
Promote healing, a returned passion, and praise amongst fandom after years of division? Or incite its further divide? Thank the fans for still caring after you shit all over them with the sequels? Or mock them for still caring after you shit all over them with the sequels? Only the Lucasfilm employees who brought you a bookending trilogy where they were confounded that their bastardized depiction of Luke wasn't widely embraced by fans, can be confused by these questions. Pablo is literally in the business that was specifically created to elicit a shared communal response to it. So how tf is evoking emotion like tears of joy seen as anything but a huge win? Let alone be something that warrants slander? If he was really making fun of SWT and not actually mocking the original tweeter, Hidalgo is a completely fucking clueless tool.
Retired and having fun ... Hmmm I think retired is the operative word on that guys profile 😂 a has been, Bitter and Twisted. It was the best watch party 👍

@@drummerguy789101 Dave likely doesn’t want to be apart of any drama what so ever. He is supposed to be the feel good guy that just gives to fans not interact directly.
I view Pablo's "apology" as essentially damage control. You know he doesn't mean a word of it, because if he had, he wouldn't have put the post as his twitter banner for hours. I won't blame Disney on this because Disney has very little to do with any one company under their control (that's why they have presidents to handle the different companies). I also think Disney did find out what was going on and stepped in tell Lucasfilm to make this right, because when something makes them look bad, you know the higherups will deal with it like they had with EA and KK.
Also because you know the higherups know Theory. They know who he is and what he does, and thry know he has a following. Pablo straight up insulted the biggest starwars youtuber out there, and didnt back down. Of COURSE Disney would tell them to apologize, because they know damn well they can't loose what few followers they have. So they give out a bullshit apology that fits corporate agenda, but its not genuine, and we fans know that. Like everyone has said, we know the only way for things to change, is a change of leadership. This is the way, I have spoken.
Social media really brings out the worst in people... that Pablo guy just needs to get off Twitter for awhile and sort himself out. He’s a grown ass man in a high position of power acting like a vindictive and petty child.
This has been a long time thing unfortunately. Those in that corner of Lucasfilm are no strangers to going after fans who have differing opinions, Hidalgo is no exception. It’s one thing for fans to go at other fans, but for employees to go after fans - very unprofessional.
Better yet, Hidalgo has to get fired for doing this for all these years as well as some of the other Lucasfilm employees that were attacking SWT as well. This kind of behavior is not acceptable and continuing to include people like Hidalgo and most of the people at Lucasfilm (mainly hired by Kathleen Kennedy) are creating an even more toxic culture there.
Wonder if he saw the sorta apology from Hildago. 1. He didn’t specify Star Wars theory 2. He used a different account to deal with it. Yeah it’s a not an apology period.
Man when I seen that crap I have Always tried to be kind and positive about a lot...But This BS is just not right SWT or General Theory as I like to call dude, Man you have done nothing but to be a Amazing Great Positive Human Being in the Star Wars Community💯❤...So Seeing that I am sure most can feel in the blanks €μc£ that guy at Disney 😡 We Love Ya Brother🙏 Keep on The Highground also Omg Marc!!! I was in my car on my lunch break, my attention absolutely transfixed to my phone as the Mando Season 2 finale seemed to be nearing it's climax. The moments right before it happened I could literally feel it coming, I could sense it (possibly through the force), so as soon I saw that X-Wing, it was too late to fight it, I couldn't even smile or make a sound as those emotions hit me. I knew you had already watched and livestreamed the finale so, as I struggled to keep the tears from blurring my vision, I thought to myself, "I bet Theory lost it too". The first thing I did when the credits started rolling, was open up RU-vid and go to ur channel just to see ur reaction, and sure enough, it was identical to mine. Anyway, my point is this... I'm kinda like the lone nerd among my friends so I'm always alone if/when something like this happens. Moments like these, btw thank you Dave and Jon, really make people feel connected . So when I was crying at my phone like a little bitch in my car on my lunch break, and then watched your reaction right after, I was audibly agreeing with all your comments, like you were there, like I wasn't alone...you know...from a certain point of view.
While yes, Sebastian Stan in the Luke cameo would not hit the same, I think they should definitely use him in the future for any Luke spinoff stuff! He really looks like Luke, especially the deepfake version.. and he's already working in Disney, it's perfect imo, as long as he could pull it off acting-wise
The other thing that gets me is some people said he was faking his reaction. It was literally a livestream watch party and we all cried at the same time to Luke's scene. Dude should be fired. If you don't want to say it fine, I will. His actions are cause for being fired.
I was there for the watch party too. I was shocked at how emotional Theory was but I also appreciate it. Proud of Theory and everyone standing up for him from the community.
SWT do a video of when Ezra started using Anakins deflecting style as he was turning the darkside in the first episode of season 3, he got the style from the hologram Ashoka was watching btw
"Sharing emotions" is exactly what should be ENCOURAGED. It was you doing exactly that by showing such emotional empathy with me a year and a half ago on your mail unboxing live stream. I sent you that letter about losing my Dad quite suddenly to Cancer and the outpouring of support I got in the chat that stream and a couple of others who reached out to me afterwards was amazing. Seeing your emotional reaction to my letter and the updates I gave you on the situation via the SuperChats actually was my first big step on the path to healing from it. Now I'm about to finish University and get that Geography degree despite the Pandemic and all the other stuff putting hurdles in the way, I've got into great shape, I even pushed/pulled a damn Car recently! :D Keep going man, you're such a beacon to all of us and really do give us all a voice, in the positive way that Luke Skywalker himself would be truly proud of.
I agree with Josh, it was the worst possible Star Wars thing you could say. Not only were there a multitude of fans sharing emotions-but emotions were shared repeatedly by and between characters in the show we were watching! Especially in those last scenes of the show, culminating with the heart wrenching moments when Din removed his helmet to Share His Emotions with his son and his son Shared His Emotions with his father. Even R2 shared emotions. Din had tears in his eyes as he watched Luke carry away his son. Pablo insulted the show, too-if not deliberately, then it was collateral damage. Pablo's insults were directed towards SWT, but it was also a spray and pray that hit a whole lot of people-and Lucasfilm got hit, too.
What really bothers me about the Pablo situation wasn't as much that he attacked Theory (which is horrible), but that he felt completely comfortable doing so. I'd never feel comfortable verbally berating or attacking a customer of my company UNLESS I felt l comfortable knowing that my company felt the same. This is a top down issue. These people HATE us fans. Where else is it okay to hate your customers?
Sounds like corporate stepped in and made him switch up but it's too late, they said what they said. Hope you do eventually reach out to him though, I'd really like to know what his problem is.
Love that you guys keep talking Star Wars through everything. Keep it up! The way that you share you passion (emotions) for Star Wars is genuine and so inspiring. If they're going to criticize you for being emotional at the sight of your (and my) hero returning, then theyre also criticizing me and millions of other people that also cried tears of joy. We stand with you. Love you guys. Its ok to feel hurt. I just hope that this helps the fan base and the company move forward stronger together instead of tearing it apart even more. Ps. Josh's mic is consistently the quietest. The mic he uses (shure sm7b) has a low output, so it needs to be boosted more than most mics. Love the conversations though! Just thought id say something. 🙂
Theory, I am just gonna say that the reason I love your channel and content so much is because you DO care so deeply for Star Wars. Because you care so much about it, it makes it all the more special to enjoy Star Wars, especially in those deeply emotional moments. Just keep doing what you’re doing because this is what Star Wars is all about, man.
ITS NOT THAT YOU CRIED MAN. ITS THAT YOU FILM IT AND USE IT AS CLICKBAIT!!!!! (25:45). YOU KEEP SAYING PABLO MADE FUN OF YOU FOR CRYING. HE MADE FUN OF YOU BECAUSE YOU BROADCAST IT TO THE WORLD FOR VIEWERSHIP. STOP CREATING FALSE ANALOGIES. No one will believe this but I know Pablo personally and he is an asshole. But Theory....look at me...you are making it all worse by venting about it. Pablo and the core people Lucasfilm, INCLUDING DAVE F., think you are a weird guy.
@@peddlerofbombast6982 He did NOT use it as clickbait. He didn't put images of himself crying in the thumbnail of his reaction livestream so how is that clickbait? It was a completely different content creator that uploaded a video of SWT crying and used that as a thumbnail. And it's not like he filmed his reaction with the intention of crying so he could get better views. He's been doing these reaction livestreams since season two started and I believe he did the same with season 7 of the clone wars. It's simply a way for him and his subscribers to enjoy the show together and then talk about all the fun stuff in the episodes afterward. SWT crying was his genuine reaction to what happened in the episode. It's not like he knew for certain Luke would show up or that he would cry in response. His livestreams are simply a way of building community and enjoying something together as Star Wars fans. Characterizing it as him crying for clicks is both factually incorrect and disingenuous. Stop trying to weave a false narrative especially when your knowledge concerning the details of the situation is lacking. And you're right I don't believe you know anyone at Lucasfilm. Oh and piece of advice, if you're trying to "call him out" he's not going to see your reply when you're replying to EDGE BOI. Post it in the main thread.
Theory, I have been watching you for around a year or so now and I have absolutely fallen in love with this channel. You are such a light in this community. You provide such a great outlook on all of Star Wars and I appreciate that so much. Keep pushing forward!
Love to see you again Mark! Brought a bit of OG rule of two too the show tonight, and you 3 are the trio of the ages. P.S. I also got a new acoustic guitar for Christmas
Best Star Wars podcast ever. Love you guys. Just PLEASE PLEASE can you equalize all your voices so they are the same volume. Marc was BOOMING loud and Josh was almost a whisper. Thanks guys. Love listening.
I respect the fact that the crew doesn't want Hidalgo to lose his job, but I don't share that opinion. I'm really tired of people in power doing stupid sh*t and not having any consequences to their actions.
Based. Cancel culture obviously works, so start using it against its wielders until the people who started it are all gone. Then we can put the thing (cancel culture) down and get back to what we were doing.
It's such a turn off from the franchise when Lucasfilm employees abuse and attack the fans. Very unprofessional and not cool at all, in my honest opinion.
Well said y'all and Star Wars Theory I just wanna thank you for everything you have done for the star wars community and for standing up for what's right all the time. I've watched you for 5 years now and you're still my fav youtuber. Star wars will always forever be in my heart and I just want you to read this so you know how much it means that you pour your heart and soul into everything you do. May the force be with you always! Keep your head up!
I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, my bf uses my account lol, but I watch your vids and appreciate your passion and content. I definitely chimed in on Twitter lol nothing wrong with emotions, there’s everything wrong with ppl, especially “high ups”, making fun of said emotions.
Pablo the tub of lard insulted alot of girls around the world, tons of girls love Grogu. 99.99% of girls cried at the end of that scene with Luke, Grogu and Din!
Damn that was emotional near the beginning props to JOSH(DON) for his kind words to Theory (SWT) youv really gone up in my books as DEN of nerds was a bit of clickbait channel when you started out but josh actually seems like a geniune chilled guy.
Luke's fight choreography through the hallway was (in my opinion) a brilliant example of visual storytelling. This was Luke performing AS A MASTER JEDI; there was not a single movement which was unnecessary and every single action perfectly flowed into the next. No jerky movement, slow and calculating, and treating the lightsaber how it should be; when not battling another lightsaber, it does not need to be swung with force as it will glide through anything (barring lightsaber / beskar / zillo plate / etc) without effort. I really loved the way they used him AND the additional aspect of Luke's understanding of using darker forms like force crush because he is not a restricted by a fear of the dark side overtaking him.
hey Theory its just an old marine here i want to commend you on your great content I've been watching you grow on your channel im happy to see your fans and fellow humans have your back
An alternate universe where Finn goes from being a stormtrooper to Luke's apprentice would have been incredible. I'd even take an animated version of that arc tbh.
The fact that variety did a piece on this is huge. You are a good person brother and thank you for representing the Star Wars fandom in a positive way. Keep on keeping on 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I'm not sure where this hatred towards me has come from recently, but I have an idea why...I've had dinner with you multiple times man, In person you were very kind and didn't seem to have any malice. You've gone out of your way to email me on questions or comments and it was all good. I made a video about something that is a current issue, and showed the several tweets fans have made about it, and then gave my own opinion on things. I even clearly said in the video, that Disney has NOT responded to this, so I can only ASSUME what it is for, then gave my thoughts on where this type of behaviour could lead and what I thought about it given my theory (Star Wars Theory is my channel name...). I think it's best you don't put slander to my name and try to paint me with a 'fear mongering' brush, or to say that I just want to pump out videos as fast as I can, because every video I've made has been based on no ill-intentions or 'fear mongering' tactics. If covering topics and giving my insight on them is against your ways of running your channel, that's the beauty of having a channel, you run it the best way you know how and the way YOU want. Some people will hate us, some will love us, and others will be indifferent. We're both sharing the same passion here on RU-vid but I feel like you're attacking me when there's no reason to. There are so many other ways you could have gone about this. It's sad that Star Wars HQ sent me your video, telling me to keep my chin up and ignore it when I had no idea about you even making this until now. Next time you want to jump to conclusions behind the keyboard, I suggest you email me about it just like you first did when I started my channel, asking me how I grew my channel so fast...but I guess you're just nice to me when you want something. Trying to burn bridges and put me down is not the best way to inform viewers on the gun controversy. It's drama, and that's something I strictly stay clear from. A simple video saying 'hey guys, here's what's going on, as we just got news about the gun controversy here today, so I hope you enjoy...etc.' Instead, you make a RU-vid drama video about what other channels are doing...Do you think you are the Star Wars RU-vidr police? Are you the Batman of RU-vid? Here to save people from watching anyone else's videos but your own? Best of luck to you and may the force be with you. As you can see, I never made a video saying 'THIS IS WHAT DISNEY IS DOING, HATE THEM, LET YOUR HATRED SWELL.' My original video is here, where I specifically say Disney hasn't made an update about this, but as of now, this is what I think. SWE edited my video perfectly to make it look like i'm spread some misinformation. I don't support drama, and never want to be a part of it. I stick to myself and do my own thing, and I will continue to do so. Theory, you inspire me to be the better person, know when to defend myself, and distinguish people for their actions. I watched all of your podcasts and I thank you so much for being here. You're a great man. God bless you sir.
Just to be clear, this is the "apology" that Pablo gave Theory I wish to clarify that my post that "emotions are not to be shared" was sarcastic self-mockery and was certainly not intended to be hurtful to anyone and I'm deeply sorry that it was. As a life-long fan, I appreciate fans expressing how they feel - it's what being a fan is about! kinda sounds like a gunpoint apology to me, but i could just be riled up about the thing in the first place so...
This “apology” did not come from Pablo’s official Twitter account. It either came from a fake account that some random shill created or an account that Pablo created so his apology would not be seen on his official account(that is locked to private by the way). Either way, this is no apology in my opinion.
It’s great to see the Star Wars community alive and well. Real fans understand why the sequels were bad beyond the obvious poor writing. “But master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future” “Not at the expense of the moment”
I'm with you Theory! You guys made excellent points and it was totally messed up what Pablo did. People like him don't deserve to have positions of power like that of any kind.
Can you pleeeeeeeeaase turn up Josh's mic in future shows?? It's a struggle to watch your show when his sound is so low compared to you, and in this show, Mark's. I really enjoy your videos. If it's possible, try to get Kristian Harlof in the show. He really knows his SW.
Theory, you reignited my love for Star Wars because of the passion you have for it. And to see anyone take shots at you is not cool and it’s not right. You make a lot of peoples lives better. Thank you for being you and stand up for not just yourself but the whole Star Wars community/fandom
Star Wars Theory is changing Star Wars. Keep up the good work, we were all crying with you. Screw that A$$#*(3, he doesn't understand Star Wars. Disney has repeatedly tried to ruin SW, but some how I believe your videos have helped shape the future of Star Wars. Keep gettin' it bro, we need you.
All I can say is that I’m so glad to have been here since the beginning. I’ve loved your theories even though there have been some that I have disagreed with, but the point is to get us to think! You have made it much more enjoyable to think outside the box of what if scenarios in Star Wars. I thank you for giving us even deeper context to the history and lore to something we all love.
What if they do bring Jade into the story, and she dies when Kylo and friends attack the temple? That results in Luke being heartbroken and helps transition him to sequel Luke
Loving the content and enjoy the great discussions. Agree with everything yous say. As a 42 year old who grew up with the OT, it's an amazing time to be a Star Wars fan! This is our world! There are people that make mistakes, and then there's people that are straight up trash human beings. Pablo shows a history of attacking fans and has not once learned from his mistakes. He should be fired and I know you guys said he shouldn't, but that's not how you treat fans. I'm the same as you Theory, I grew up getting bullied for loving Star Wars but it made me who I am today. I grew up playing Rogue Squadron and wanting to fly because Luke was the "best pilot in the galaxy". I owe everything to Star Wars for making me into the person I am today, if people want to trash me for my dedication to Star Wars, they can get bent.
i'm not that big a fan of starwars but i like it. its really cool and heartwarming in General (excluding disney starwars trio of course). but after i watched the finale on my own, i came here and saw star wars theory crying genuine tears of joy and i literally had goosebumps. it was so amazing and heartwarming. i do not think some troll who has an audience just because hes the employee of a big company... should be taken that seriously just because ! and when you see a pitiful, childish behavior like this from a grown ass man, i think you can easily see what kind of man he is and not much should be expected of him !

Theory, I’ve loved the content and the watch parties of the Mando were something I didn’t think I’d like but found very entertaining. You’ve expanded my knowledge of Stat Wars and even introduced me to the clone wars animated series (which I cannot believe I thought was just a “kids” cartoon). But if they’ve “reached out” (God I hate that phrase) with an apology or wish to clarify the situation then take it man. Otherwise it just looks like you’re enjoying being pissed off and stooping to their level of immaturity. It could also be perceived that you’re feeding off the negativity to generate clicks and views - that’s not your channel man, there are plenty of other “Star Wars Rage” channels out there incessantly going to war with Lucasfilm and Disney. If their clarification or apology doesn’t cut it, then by all means rage about them. But at least have the conversation dude. It’s what you’re about. Anyway, I understand you’re pissed off and hurt and I hope you get past this and onto making excellent content once more. All the best.
I laughed at "just one X-wing?" Then it hit me.... ONE X-wing, I had to force myself to not cheer when Luke pulled a Vader.... didn't want to wake up everyone in my house lol
One can hope. In a just universe Pablo would submit an apology and resignate from any position he has in Lucasfilm. But we don't live in a just universe. We'll see how this plays out. There needs to be consequences and longterm repercussions for this matter going forward.
