Thanks for watching! The little steering wheel desk I used in this video is surprisingly useful, and it's less than $10 on Amazon (as of posting this link). You can pick one up here: amzn.to/3DikHBw -Tristan (That's an affiliate link, so I'll make a few cents if you buy through that link. Great way to support the channel while getting new gear.)

Thank you Tristen. I'm sitting happily in western mountains near Asheville NC, after 30 yrs living wild and free near Bozeman MT, American Falls and Boise ID, Lima and Dillon MT, and Lander WY. Your day on those back roads and huge small experiences in western WY mountains was a wonderful trek through memories of that time and home. Smiles. Peace.

OK, so my wife and I have been trying to figure out what to do to celebrate our 20 year anniversary, and after watching the past two videos we both said, "Let's plan a trip through there!" - so thanks to you, we've roughed out a basic itinerary through Colorado, Wyoming (including the Wind River Range) and Montana. Oh - and we were both like, "Yo, never seen that steering wheel desk before, that must be new!" lol

A year ago, I drove from my home in San Diego to Yellowstone and back, and got reminded how much I love the Tetons as I drove past each way. On my northbound trip, smoke and haze from wildfires in CA, OR, and ID made seeing the mountains a challenge. But on the southbound trip, rain the night before cleaned the atmosphere and the mountains were glorious. I need to plan a return trip dedicated to just the Tetons. Thanks for taking us along.

Since we were National Park Rangers, we got married at Schwabacher Landing near the Snake River under the Tetons. Back in 2009, it was only a $50 permit to do it on a gorgeous August day. Such a memorable day. Even the fishermen lent us their poles for a photoshoot. Haha. The Tetons are our favorite NP.

The Gros Ventre slide is very similar to the Hope slide near Hope, British Columbia near Vancouver. The Hope slide displaced 47 million cubic meters of debris, which is very similar to the Gros Ventre slide. It's very easily viewed from the highway when driving the Hope-Princeton highway. Always enjoy your most excellent videos and efforts to produce them.😁

Great video of the lesser known/visited areas of Western Wyoming! The grandeur of these places just really have to be experienced in person, but if you can’t this video is the next best bet. The Granite Falls, creek and subsequent hot springs are now going on my list of adventures to complete next time I head out to Idaho and Wyoming. Is there still (or was there ever) some weird rule about filming in National Parks aside from flying the drone? Let’s talk about salt bagels for a second… salt bagels are an art best experienced on the east coast, where they’ve been perfected. (New Jersey native here)… you have to find the right balance of salt to bread and then cut it with cream cheese or other spreadable deliciousness to get the flavor just right and not just taste overbearing saltiness. The addition of meats and veggies also help, but personally, I recommend a spread of some sorts first and foremost.
@SUVRVing
@SUVRVing Год назад
I believe the National Park Service has sued some RU-vidrs because they didn't have commercial filming licenses, but the NPS lost. I think it had something to do with the First Amendment (freedom of speech). That's my recollection, anyway. And yeah, I can see how cream cheese would definitely help with the salty bagel!

Holy cow! Everything I like to see: scenic views, lakes, great trails, mountain ranges, campsites, wildlife etc. I especially enjoyed seeing the Gros Ventre Slide & the adjoining lake. I remember checking it out on one of my Yellowstone/Grand Teton trips. I recently did a painting of the Grand Tetons from Mormon Row with a historic barn in the foreground so your amazing views of the Tetons brought that back to life for me. PS - I keep hoping to see Adobe Town on one of your adventures.

Years ago a friend and I spent four months in and around Jackson. We spent most of that time living in tents up on Mosquito creek near Wilson. We roamed a lot of the area but never saw Sacred Rim. Gotta get back to do that. One very fun thing we did though was to actually rock hop and scramble our way up the Gros Ventre Slide. We didn't get all the way up but it was an all day affair. Great video. The Jackson area is spectacular. Too bad town is so crowded.

Nice compilation video!! Wife and I just did our 2022 trip out west at the end of June. We also hiked the Sacred Rim Trail. It actually gave us better views than the hike from the same trial head to Photographer's point with less than half the distance. Then we headed to the Tetons and camped at the Gros-Ventre Campground. The Highlight of our two week trip was the Hike into Cascade Canyon in the Tetons!! It is a must do for anyone! We took the boat shuttle across Jenny Lake to the the trailhead. Every part of it was an A1 experience..

Hubby and I saw a shown on local PBS here in NE Georgia , “outside the Lens” from the local PBS station in Fresno Valley…episode was about the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway. I said we need to go out there and drive that road., which we did in May. The best 70 miles of backcountry scenery of the eastern Sierra. That drive had more treasures than imagined. We were out there on a Thursday and saw a couple of other cars. In addition to that beautiful drive we stayed in an area of California we maybe wouldn’t have chosen and we had a great 2 weeks of exploring and seeing sights we don’t see around where we live. Travel doesn’t have to be monumentally inspired… I’ll take the little surprises any day…like those red hills.

My son and I drove through the Grand Teton national Park and also Yellowstone National Park seeing Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot springs August 8 2021 on my way to moving from Texas to North Central Montana where I live now. It was a bucket list to see all that. So amazing like you say. I've been exploring Montana since living here a year now. Done the going to the Sun Road twice last September and October trying to go when the tourist season has died down some. Last October was like I had the whole way through Glacier National Park to my self. It was the last day before they closed it for the season. The leaves had changed so it was like a whole new experience than when I went a month prior. Just magical here in the West. Best decision ever to retire and move here. I love it. I watch your videos getting excited about other places to explore. I want to see Idaho and Utah so much. You are so brave to hike some of these places that are so high in altitude and on some scary cliffs. I probably wouldn't try to do that extreme of hiking especially by myself personally but I'm awe of those like yourself who do. It's amazing 🤩. Thank you for taking us along on these epic adventures so we can see what it's like. Your content is awesome. 🤗😍

Wind River Range...on top of my List...might be dicey beginning in Oct... Such "epic" views are compelling...a physical pull ...all of your videos of WRR have done this to me...

I never tire of the Tetons. Thanks for sharing such amazing spots. Sorry you got such a disappointing lunch since Jackson has a lot of great restaurants. But yeah, I hear ya about how crowded it is. Especially summertime. My fav besides the Tetons themselves was the waterfall that I had no idea was in that area tho I’ve been in that area so many times over the years.

Yeah, it's a pain to drive there (and find parking!) in the summer. Thanks for watching, Kelly!

Next time you get to Jackson WY stop at Teton Village and take the tram ride to the top of the peak next to the Grand Teton.

Tristan another great video, I think western Wyoming will be on my list of places to visit very soon. I live in Nampa, Idaho so the Wind River Range isn't to far at all.
