Hearing you apologise on behalf of educators made me feel relief from a guilt I've been carrying. I became a teacher in 1989 after graduating from Queen's U. at Kingston ON. I spent ten years trying to get a full time position but only ever got occasional work as a supply teacher. I never felt like anyone was being taught when I worked. The "common curriculum' that was implemented in 1990s lowered the bar too much for my interest to hold. I also saw much malaise in the system that killed my interest in education. Freedom is essential and you make it clear that we are All victims of it "The System". Thanks for your voice!
It was free speech that led me to contemplate engaging in socialism and critical theories, and it was also free speech that yanked me back out of that space.
Mild Socialism like we have in Australia is fine, but it's a slippery slope to scarier Marxism. And it only works if you have workers and common sense policies. No one in their right mind wants to live in the USSR.
Absolutely, when attending a Democratic rally in '07, people were talking about potentially having the first minority President (Obama), of which I started advocating for Sen. Nighthorse Campbell if I was going to participate in the whole critical race theory as a basis for choosing a Pres. I was then told by blonde, white, female fellow students at that rally I was racist and possibly a white supremacist for suggesting a Native American (as I am Native American) be the President elect, and not an African American Obama. Even after pointing out that Natives have more "victimhood", they became more angry and I was more of a racist and additionally homophobe and other pejoratives in front of other Democrats that did nothing to speak up. That night was a huge awakening for me as I had considered race theory and socialism as potential aids to the ailments of society. I realized it was all party control, no reason included in it, and simply using people group "injuries" or "victimhood" to exert "moral authority" and push others around in whatever other context they needed control in. That night is forever burned into my memory, and afterwards I began a long self search of my conservative upbringing. It didn't bring me back to being a staunch Republican, but enough to realize I will err on the side of conservatism when in doubt. We clearly had gone far past policy adjustments and tax rates into another realm of blatant self inflicted stupidity for the basis of governance.@@jerrysolomon
You’re not responsible for others feelings they’re responsible for their own personal growth so that you can’t hurt their feelings. It’s an assbackwards question in other words, it’s manipulative because it tries to RAISE feelings not self-confidence as the subject. Everybody knows that when you cater to feelings manipulation gains control. And that’s not good for anyone.
I think most people that grow up in the West take free speech for granted because they assume that everyone else must also enjoy the same liberties. It's those who escape from totalitarian regimes and have experienced both sides that truly cherish it because they have an intimate understanding of what happens when societies devolve into tyranny.
I live in New Zealand and people use "Free speech" all the time. But don't actually understand that we don't have free speech laws here. We have laws against hate speech but nothing that says you have freedom to say what you want. I think the world as a whole has too much American influence on what laws there actually are
America is 100% a totalitarian regime. You don’t think so because the books and the movies only depict totalitarianism as state owned? I wonder why that is…
Children know this game about “feelings.” Then they become adults and the name-calling doesn’t matter anymore, as they’ve outgrown it. And then they challenge those players unclear behaviours, as they should when they’re suddenly in a role they don’t deserve/never earned such as Trudeau. So when it comes to questioning BS when one sees it, absolutely, call it out. Sometimes people have to hear what they don’t want to hear in order to keep them in line. And Trudeau has proven more than enough times that someone always has to keep an eye on him for he’s constantly testing what he can get away with.
I beg to differ. I think they look they are made from miscellaneous scraps from the cutting-room floor. I suppose some may think that is chic - not me!
We talk about protecting free speech until it’s criticizing Israel. Many people are afraid to speak up about Israel due to the many instances of people facing consequences doing so
We are in a time period when antisemitism is at a level with pre-World War II and you can sit there and say an idiot thing like this? You are a special kind of stupid, aren’t you? If you’re referring to Holocaust denial, that is not covered under freedom of speech, it is against the law in dozens of countries.
@@redtobertshateshandles critic and criticism is not hate speech. When I state a fact of something a government did and explain why I believe it to be wrong that isn’t hate speech
I know he wasn’t being arrogant, but assuming a natural born citizen takes their country for granted, or means that we are sitting on our laurels, or don’t care is frustrating to say the least. It would be a breath of fresh air to hear new comers say something about the freedoms they are met with that many fought for years before they ever got here. Just like to hear that a few times, or more.
Very much looking forward to it. I was so moved by Rikki’s article in love and support of Dr. Peterson. And I remember Greg being on the podcast with Jonathan Hait a number of years ago?
Critics of Jordan should know that he, like J Robert Oppenheimer was able to, is able to grasp pretty much any subject, thanks to his phenomenonal intellect. Canada should respect his intentions and willingness to speak his mind.
Is Jordan shadow banned? I’m not seeing a lot of his content on my feed unless I directly look it up and the viewership has dropped massively. We support you nonetheless!
As for the institution; was THAT the question it posed to you the “feelings?” Turn it right back to them: Is that a professional question? No, it’s not. It’s a manipulative question.
"You might want to notice that if you had any sense" 🤭not 100% on this. but if anything said to that extent.🤭 might hurt someone else's fillings or thoughts. what said could well. The Implications of "no sense to notice". as if the answer will never be had to understand.will also implie "you got it why not you dummy". "Me smart you not." We all at some point have had a ah-ha moment of learning some just not on your curve but leaning yes if choice to do so of course ❤️ 🙏 Thanks you for the video 🙏 Hope not too offend just as i was not watching this video ☺️
I know exactly what it's like to not have those right's, for I've lived without them right here in the United States! I've never been a felon but I've had my rights taken away more times than I can count. For I have been an orphan since age three, and homeless on the streets since age 13, and I can promise you there's an entire class and demographic of people who have absolutely no rights in this country. I challenge anyone to try to prove me wrong, but I warn you now, you will fail!
Reading, feeling, touching, smelling real books that let you experience the inside as well as the outside as such, can be an experience like a vacation in your backyard for a week. Being quiet in words not spoken can give more than life itself at times ❤
yes the imigrants of nowadays have appriciation for America that American born people take for granted. I have respect for them and am American born and raised. Free speech is taxed like everything else. if you are American you owe the government. I was blessed to grow up in a different America where freedom did not come at such a price as to be robed of your dignity. But now I say the truth and get no credit. Because somehow being free made me a victim and criminal not worthy to represent what comes from my experiences growing up in a free America as a born citizen. My works are not profitable to me. But others are getting rich from my experiences and written works in the form of thought or speech. But written. Art is culture exploited in modern times by theft and our own government who is to blame for todays society and decline. I know its not an American born citizen that caused this. nor imigrants. Its worse. Alien species that controll governments everywhere. U S was the last fronteer. Now its the west. but lets keep it wild and not bow to the ...enemy of man. 😊
This guy is repeating information that is already available it's like a AI took chat gbt of Dr. Jordan Peterson and played it back too him that's what this guy sounds like talking too Peterson
Jordan, I've been a fan of yours since I was a teenager. I honestly can't believe how far your have fallen, to wish death and destruction on innocents, and to further the agenda of those who have nefarious plans for our country and theirs. To rattle Netanyahu's sword and say "Give 'em Hell" undoubtedly expresses your approval with the innocent casualties that will come with Israel's wrath. You should be above such statements. It is easy to be angry and wrathful from a distance, sitting in your office or your peaceful home and tweeting such violent nonsense is something I never thought you'd stoop to. You will never experience the hell that Palestinians have lived with every single day. You will never understand their struggle. I hope you can find the Old You again, I miss that guy, and I haven't seen him in a long time. He left when we needed him most, and something truly resentful and weak has replaced him. Find yourself again, we need you.
I've listened to Mr. Peterson quite a few years and I've never heard him say anything I felt offended by. He's under unscrupulous and nefarious attack. What is you're problem?
No! Why do you interpret it that way? He was clearly talking about the terrorist group Hamas, and they should be given hell to be honest. No one is wishing death on innocent children. Do you really think Jordan would? Come on , think!
He hasn't. In that contentious tweet, he was clearly talking about the terrorist group Hamas, and they should be given hell to be honest. No one is wishing death on innocent children. Do you really think Jordan would? Come on , think!
