This is one of the most beautiful stories I've heard in quite a while. I'm just beginning to truly get on my path. I made my decision about five years ago, but my study had increased, my questions have increased and I do not have a Rabbi. I used to be within walking distance of several Shul's and I had to move and now I am nowhere near a Shul. I just want to move so bad, and do what you did grow a little closer to Hashem by learning more mitzvot. I just pray that I can move soon. If I go to the Shul on Shabbat I have to break take the train, but I don't know what else to do. If I go and stay at an acquaintance's, it's not a pleasant way to spend Shabbat. I loved your story though. I've had a lot of problems in my life and I'm just grateful to still be alive. Then I had an accident and had a cervical fusion and dissection c4-c7 so I was out of work for long, but I feel better now. Even the Shul I go to occasionally doesn't have a Rabbi right now. I'm tempted to go to a Chabad House on a weekday maybe. Anyway I loved your story and it was very inspirational.

I was so expecting for her to say that she became less religious due to her brother having cancer. What a pleasant surprise.

So beautiful a presentation of your family journey & love of Hashem.I wonder if the fact that the girls at the party got him dizzy & taken to hospital for a quick check up, did not actually save him as the cancer would have quietly continued to spread until it was too late..Thank you for sharing.much hatzlacha!!
