Kept the Point Booster in his backpack instead of swapping it in. He could've also spam-bought Cloaks and swapped his items for them. Cloaks do stack Magic Resistance multiplicatively. 4 Cloaks and that Point Booster swapped in would've made sure he didn't even go close to death. He certainly had the gold for it too. After he survives, he can sell them for full price. I understand that it's hard to think about such things in the heat of the moment but perhaps a reader will avoid a similar circumstance in the future by remembering this little tip. Edit: Replied to a few of your alternative suggestions.

Always!!! Ban that shit. When you're winning against it it annoys the living fuck out of you with its illu split pushing. When you're winning with it it's afk in the jungle. When you're losing with it chainfeeds to ganks until going afk in fountain to split with its illu and when you're losing to it you can't even kill the shitty illu in a reasonable time.
