This is Why I Love Re Zero So Much.... Season 2 Episode 21 is Incredible 

This is why I love anime

This just shows that a weak MC that has huge character development is better than a powerful MC that has minimal character development, Subaru is a one of a kind character.

Really dope episode, i laughed when garfille protects his sister, and realizes he’s way shorter than her lol.

Rosewall: "Oh, you dare approach me?" Ram: "I can't stop you without getting closer."

Roswaal: "So, I have this whole speech planned on all the reasons you suck." Emilia: "Please, I spent the last hour being insulted non-stop by your teacher. Do your worst."

The look on roswals face when puck showed up was the definition of, "oh fuck"

I like how Puck and Ram are fighting Roswell and three of them are just happy about it

Also, my overall respect to the voice actors and actresses in this season, including Roswald's performance. Damn, he not only channeled Dio's style and mannerisms into his character but managed to make the jester's lines feel more humane and terrifying.

Man, I love how much Emilia's resolve has grown. She went from a person who was lying to everyone about her pain and strength to showing true strength in the face of danger. The Ram stuff was shocking as well.

Whats more impressive is Reinhart having his own idiom when he is still alive, which is crazy

I love how each episode is a feast for characters. The parallels, the relationships, the growth--no words to describe how much I love this series.

Roswal has the Gospel. He knew that Ram village would be assaulted. He did nothing to save the village cause Ram is part of the plan that the book tells him to follow. Roswal did not cause the village destruction. Just did nothing to avoid it.

Re zero is one of those series that I am just as excited for dialogue between characters as I am for action scenes

man, looking back at all of stupidity and cringiness of Subaru in season 1. I felt really proud now seeing all of his hardwork and overcoming everything despite all of his flaws. I love it.

Emilia’s development is freaking amazing!!! The Garfiel and Frederica banter is the peak of the episode imo, just hit me hard. I love Re:Zero ♥️

re zero season 2 episode 21: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT EVERYWHERE. Also, Subaru to Betty: IMMA GET YO ASS OUTTA HERE.

I've been saying this ever since season 1 came out but Re:Zero has the most potential out of any series I've seen. I have never been so invested in such a large cast of characters. I can't wait for an arc 4 and 5 adaption. God Tappei is a genius Edit: I'm a dummy I meant Arc 5 and 6 adaption

Also, I hope that Tappei one day delves into the inspiration behind Re:Zero.

Roswaal coming in with his OST was so good. Damn. The voice acting is also so great. Re zero is great.

Its REALLY incredible that Ram trust Subaru because his timing is just perfect, even tho that's the only feature he has, she willing to gamble with their side

I just realized how much I cared about this world when I found myself cheering for garfiel at the end

Yes, the character development. The twists and turns of the plot, and the mixture of suspense, mystery and intrigue. Man, it's hard to believe that all of this came from one man

I am addict to re zero after reading arc 6

Even though majority of this episode was a set-up episode for the next episode this episode was still hype from beginning to end. Now I can't wait for the next episode considering how hard they're setting up the next episode.

This episode pretty much had me screaming for the entire duration. This episode pretty much shows why Re:Zero deserves anime of the season

Yeah maybe if Suburu hadn’t shared his speech or Echidna hadn’t berated her already, then Roswaal’s evil whispers could’ve worked on Emilia. As it stands though, Suburu and Emilia are the chad power couple right now!

I’m so friggin hyped for the next episode. We got a lot of things being set up here. We still haven’t seen what happened with the warlock of melancholy and Echidna. So now, we have the mansion fight, the melancholy fight and the Roswaal and ram fight. This is nuts. Subaru just check mated Roswaal. Wow

Really a masterpiece... Esp dialogue and portrayal of story... It's climbing up the ladder each eps to be the best episode.... You can also connect to 3rd witch tea party of them telling you cannot do everything by yourself... Believe in others

I was surprised by Ram’s character development the most. Also it seems like people can see Rem as long as Subaru acknowledges her I guess even though they all remember nothing

As a web novel reader, I completely forgot about Subaru's mansion entrance with Petra, and then I remembered right as Petra was by herself looking at the cloth. Then I remembered, and it was beautiful. However, one thing that I'm always confused about, and I hope it eventually gets explained in the novel, is Ram's undying infatuation with Roswaal. Just like how Rem would die for Subaru (and vice versa), Ram would die for Roswaal. The baffling part is that Rem's infatuation makes sense, but Ram's doesn't. The most Roswaal has does for Ram (that we've seen) is keep her alive (the loss of her horn means that she needs constant mana injection or she'll suffer), and although that's pretty big, I still don't think it's deserving of Ram's love, considering her character. She even knows that she's just a pawn and that Roswaal could've saved her village, but didn't. The only possible explanation so far is that she has stockholm syndrome, which is pretty sad.

It really is hard to choose a best episode when most of them are so good. This episode being one of them. Such a big character growths and upcoming battles. Chibi, I’m glad you upload videos of this great anime.

Re Zero deserve 9+ mark on MAL

This episode was so great I shed a few tears the attention to detail with everyone’s eyes and the music was perfect

When Garf popped up at the mansion, the reunion and the music and stuff omggg I fan-girled so hard lmao.. then his reaction to his sister's height was amazing 😂

This episode was really something else, the interaction between characters made me so giddy

I'm loving how Emilia is becoming more assertive with herself and is unfazed by Roswaal's words. I'm looking at Roswaal as a dark counterpart of Subaru (in a selfish/selfless dynamic): Roswaal will "sacrifice anyone" in the name of his gospel, whereas Subaru will Return by Death as many time if it means he can "save everyone" from their would-be grim fates. Another awaited scene where Garfiel saves his sister from Elsa is nothing short of awesome. There's Ram's fight against Roswaal, Ram would be OP'd if she hadn't lost her horn. Needless to say, Ram's still a badass (albeit a handicapped one).

puck's back from the store to fight roswaal, that was absolutely not what I expected and roswaal's reaction to puck was even more unexpected. I'm pretty sure back in S1 during a flashback when ram got her horn cut you can see roswaal there or roswaal's silhouette, he just clarified it this episode if I'm not remembering wrong. Most hyped about Garfiel though, his development and entrance to the mansion was amazing.

Puck/Ram vs Roswall ...the unexpected match we never deserve even though Puck is underpowered hopefully they beat or delay the rabbit summoning before last 2 trails are completed

I really loved the reaction of emilia, when subaru and the gang left for the residence ... she was like "ok then i do my thing here, but they could have waited for my success ..." It was a great little moment, that showed that emilia is now able to try on her own! I love the attention she gets this season!

I went to rewatch the episode and just realized it was 30 min long. Crazy. Normal anime is 24 min long 95% of the time.

That scene when Ram confronted Roswaal was on the next level.

There is a small detail that maybe adds upon the theory that Hector merged with roswall. During his confrontation with emilia and ram,when he was telling "congratulating" her and telling that he and Subaru are the same,ther has been a big emphasis on his left eye,the yellow one.Either talking with one with eye open or zooming in on that same eye during that conversation. It feels like he is getting power from that side of his power to put doubt,and, in to an extend,melancholy in Emilia's relationship with Suburu. So,maybe using this theory,this could explain why he has a contact with the witches' cult because he is either partly or is the warlock of melancholy.

Once Rezero is fully animated and complete and we get the entire story, I think it’ll be top 3 anime for me

Subaru has had the best glow up since season 1. LOOK at how my boii has changed the lives of others. LOOK at all the great decisions he has mad. LOOK at how much he loves himself enough to love others. I never made a 180 on my feeling for a characters as I did with Subaru. Such a redeemable character.

tbh I like episode 7 more, Subaru vs Dio arguing each other is so epic.
