I just got mine and I am happy. I have not quite quit social media, but rather I use it when I am finished with my day, and ready to sit at the computer for maybe under an hour. I am even reading more now, and being more productive. I still keep the Pixel 6 around for when I travel just for the camera. I put a camera grip on it, and bust it out like a large camera only for pictures.

I have been on the fence about buying this phone. The funny thing is that exactly the same thing that happened to you happened to me. I uninstalled my social media apps from my phone, but I found the same ways as you to distract myself. Now, I think this phone is the next step. I just ordered one for myself. There are important things I need to do on my smartphone, but a lot of the time I just spend hours on unnecessary social media activity. I could probably save one month worth of time in a year by quitting scrolling. I like the idea of an android flip phone. This way I can still rely on it when I need to use data and google something, look up the directions, reply to an important message quickly or even listen to music through Spotify while it is inconvenient enough that I don't want to use social media on the phone. Plus, a lot of things I do on my smartphone can be easily done on my computer

Sums up my current situation perfectly! Looks like the S22 Flip might be the best dumbphone for being able to access those extra apps like for banking, which is the main drawback of KaiOS phones like yhe Nokia 6300 4G .. and this Cat is cheaper!! I think you're positive experience with this phone has now sold it for me ✌️

I bought this for my husband who has a terrible time with smart phones, swiping the touch screen etc. We have been able to set everything up so that he really not need to do any swiping except for turning off the alarm. He uses his phone as his alarm clock and so far it seems the only way to turn it off when ringing is to open the phone, swipe up, find the clock feature and turn off the alarm. Is there a better/easier way to do this?

do you have a video guide about optimizing the phone ? Such as removing useless Apps, useful settings to turn on (like your torchlight tip in this video), and best apps to add to get the most of your experience? I know it will vary by person, but maybe some of the most useful?

A couple questions I want to fire off! I know you say all apps are on it but do they work? -does it work with with FB messenger video calling? -can you connect a Bluetooth keyboard for account setup so you don’t need to use the small screen when setting up the phone and accounts? -does the Apple Music app actually work on it?

I found your video and look forward to using my new cat, but I’ve managed to forget my pin and now I cannot get into it. Every combination I’ve tried has failed and I’ve gotten to the point of wanting to return it to Amazon. All of the online instructions on button combinations to open a factory reset screen result in a “No command” graphic of a dead android. Exasperated and seeking help. Any advice would be appreciated. Nice review. And good point about posture. I like the idea of this phone. What's the audio like? I like to listen to audio books and podcasts and occasionally music too - bluetooth or wired. Battery life puts me off. Though using it less helps :). And not sure how long it'll get updates.

Would you say the thickness of the s22 is discouraging? I am considering a tiq mini q5 or an s22. They are both just about equal in every way but the s22 is much cheaper but thicker.

Hey , would this phone be good for using a SD card with over 100gbs of music saved ti it? Would you think it'd get much slower with that many files to scroll through, &, would playlists be easy to make and navigate with say VLC player ? Also just wondering if it's a deterrent from say Facebook & RU-vid because content addiction is certainly a real thing 🙈 really hope those two don't work well at all on this phone

is there a way to make android auto work with it? I have one too, and I absolutelly love it (1 month with it now) and for me the ONLY negative is not connecting to my car to use the maps. I drive a lot and looking at waze/google maps on the tiny screen is hard. The phone won't sit nice on my car anywhere, so android auto would save me. The screen on my car now is kind of useless.

Dude I love T9 on an actual dial pad and I'm crazy fast & productive with it. Not the same on touchscreen dial pad, need the buttons. Practice with it and you'll start to appreciate how fast you can type up a paragraph. ESp if the phone has Gboard and voice to text. Sweeeeetness
