You are the only reseller not asking for video games 😂 , comes to my mind when the lady asks you, " What are you looking for?" I few days ago I "reflecting about the same question " and my answer was. We care to much about video games, and most of the time they don't worth a ton , some are but must they are not worth even pick, I was thinking whatnI could miss this year just in the rush on the video game hunting , next yard sale season I will be more cautious on other things than video games , I can't complain what did I found this year but is most the exiting moment when you see does videos games that anything else , for example a few days ago I found 5 or 6 GameCube "most mario" at 9:30 in the morning, I couldn't believe actually" I pay 2 bucks each, 😅 , I will always remember that find for sure , anyway sorry for the long post here 😂

In 2002, you could not move in our small city in Kansas on yard sale days, the population is about 8,200. Cars were gridlocked on the Saturday morning. There is a sale held in the Spring and one in the fall. This year, there were maybe twenty-five sales! I still did well on picking up Christmas stuff, which was a surprise in August! Picked up a whole Dickens Village for $10, all due to a certain Bearded Thrift Machine saying they were a good buy. You should have seen my wife's face as I walked back to the car. Sold them all apart from three. Started with twenty-five. Houses and additional bits and pieces.

Stokes to have found your channel. Looks like some great finds. Our here in SoCal (Inland Empire) our tard sales start at 7:00am and are typically picked over by 9:00am. Early bird always gets the worm. Its brutal and takes time to get that big fish out here

LOVE those US Open towels. Lots of yard sales today but nothing to flip. Did find me a few storage boxes for my sports cards (4/$2) and a tote with about 100 Christmas and other cards with envelopes that I use to ship sports cards in for $1!!!! Pretty much free shipping inventory is always great to find! Got turned away from an estate sale at the security gate. Guess the HOA shut it down lol. Oh well.

You and your dad have a great relationship. My parents had a fan like that for decades until it caught fire and they threw it away. It was probably bad wiring, but it lasted about fifty years.

Around here, Athens, Ga., there are only a handful of yard sales in a given weekend. You might have to drive for miles between each one. Before the big "C" hit, there were hundreds on each weekend from April to November. I would find so many great deals for so cheap. I was not reselling then though. Now it has pretty much dried up around here. Not even Estate Sales much.

When my mom was pregnant with me, my dad nearly cut his finger off with one of those fans while he was outside barbecuing. She rushed him to the hospital, and the finger was restored. I heard that story several times while I was growing up! Nevertheless, I'd love to find one to resell.

My grandmother had a fan like the one you bought. She set it on her living room floor. I was always afraid I would get my fingers cut off by the blades. I think that she used to warn us that could happen if we came too close to it.

Good Christmas ornament advice….The Christmas ornament I keep my eye out for is the Seabiscuit race horse ornament (also a set of several race horses), sells for $25 to $40. Found one for $1, I’ll have to study up on the Christmas section, I see lots of that at estate sales.

They are down around here. Mostly people list on Facebook marketplace If you live in town there’s a permit fee too. You find some good deals. Our goodwill has high prices and lot of trashy stuff. Soles coming off shoes. Dirty and smells. Use to donate to them but they pay the overhead too much and not enough to regular people

I can never understand the popularity of Le Creuset ok for casseroles but as pans they are very heavy on the wrist - give me good non stick pans every time And the price of Le Creuset !! That said my sister’s set is still going after 30 years Thankfully most supermarkets in the U.K. are doing their own versions at a fraction of the cost

I’m going to regret engaging with you, but here goes … your comment does not consider people’s goals and real cost. What is a garage sellers main goal? A: Almost always, it’s to get rid of stuff. They don’t want to throw it away. These items still have value to them, even if they can’t use it. If you sell an item to someone else, you prolong it’s usefulness and it’s value. If that lady wanted to maximize profit from that fan, she could have listed it herself or hired an estate sale company. If money was her main motivator, she could have taken it to a pawn shop, consignment store, etc … She is happy to have someone value her fan enough to buy it. What is a resellers real cost?

Ruth, I think anyone with guerrilla in their name is really an internet troll. Yes, resellers can be annoying, but, like everything, there are 2 sides to every story.
