Yeah I sent in premium.... got it back in less then 7 business days!!!! I sent it in express with a paper submission form... yeah imagine if they lost that card.... no way would you get an insurance claim high enough to find another one.... did you turn in your psa cert ... or does that card still exist somewhere out there in an alternate universe in the pot report as a PSA 6...

That’s funny lol all I hear is most the shills say psa is so important, there registry is so important…….there registry is inaccurate asf. So many people I know crack and resubmit 8 and 9s. The 9 pop of anything unless it’s 1 is inflated artificially 100%

If they lose it, you sue the bond company. The bond company exists for the customer to help protect them against unfair practices and receive compensation.

Bro the exact same thing happened to me but with Express. 2 months of no update on my order at all until I called to check on it. They found it graded it and shipped it within 24 hours. They definitely lost the order and had to find it.

Recently sent some cards in through a friend to try out BGS, was through one of their specials a few months ago. Prior to this I'd only submitted to PSA and each experience with them was positive, and I was expecting similar from BGS. Fast forward to today - STILL haven't heard back from BGS regarding the sub, NO status updates whatsoever, no tracker to see what stage of the grading our sub was in, it's already well past the latest estimated delivery date, and it's actually super disappointing. I've been a fan of BGS slabs for a while. I love their labels, and the idea of getting a card back in a Black Label is super tantalizing, but man after this first sub I'm not confident I'd go back and try to submit with them again. Best looking slabs on the market by far and I refuse to take any arguments for the contrary, but so far it seems they offer shit service. Sad.

One mistake I think you made is asking them are they still going to charge for premium, I would have just told them I'm not paying for premium and if they refuse let them return it.

@@vincentguimond6283 huh? No it’s not easy to get a 10 TF lol I’d rather have a PSA 9 than a BGS 9 or 9.5 but if the BGS slab has sub grades which cost more I would choose that over a PSA 9 but it’s PSA 10 < BGS 10 < BGS Black but rarely ever do u get a BGS 10 so I don’t sub with Beckett

They have disclaimers that say service speeds can vary and that the turn around times are estimates. That’s how they cover their ass when stuff like this happens.

@@mauroponce3739 I’m pretty sure you can do something about it. If you pay for a certain service and never get the service but still got charged isn’t right. It’s stealing peoples money. And if this was done multiple times to different people then that’s a lot of money being taken. So in my opinion I’m sure there’s something that could be done lawfully

@mr hansen Here in Germany a company actually puts slabs on cards without grading, just authenticating the card which is I think half the cost of grading. There's probably a company like this in the US too! I use this service for cards where I know that it can't be a 10 so it's still safe and authentificated

I have 4 cards at BGS currently that i sent on their, "20 day" service back in August and its almost June and they still aren't back. The rep keeps telling us, "should be done by december" then, "should be done by the end of feb" and now I am just hoping I get them back period. I used to ADORE bgs but they have ruined their reputation with all these shitty actions they keep CHOOSING to take. they could easily choose to be transparent with their customers and they aren't.

Hey man, unfortunately that is how it is now. Blame the Sports Card Market, BGS has a massive backlog along with PSA. There is a reason why PSA and BGS shutdown their services outside 2-day or better because of the amount they have to grade. This issue is very common in the past year and frankly when we submit and sign that order slip we are agreeing to their terms. We can be upset or annoyed, but that's all we can do.

Psa your 8 can also get a 10 like the just carelessly grade. You could choose CGC which has been considered the best for grading comics now that they are grading cards but they tend to truly grade things (so they basically have a stricter grading) but that just means you atleast know your 10 is definitely a 10

Usually when a company says a case is being escalated, that means the person you're speaking to probably doesn't have the jurisdiction to handle what's going on and either can't or won't transfer you. They either set it up to be escalated and the next guy is supposed to contact you and let you know the deal, or they do nothing because they have no idea what to do. I don't know what goes on with that company but people need to be fired asap.

My buddy sent 50 sports cards to bgs in 2016 or 2017 way before the boom. It was a program that had a GUARANTEED 45 day turnaround. Cards came back 14 months later and 5 were severely damaged. BGS is trash and always has been

That's insanely bad customer service. I've been waiting for things to return to normal before sending in cards to get graded but definitely afraid of using Beckett now. Who knows maybe these cards I pulled in 2019/2020 will finally get graded when things return to normal this year but I probably won't get the cards back until like 2024 no matter who I use

They for sure lost the card and just didn't bother telling you that it was currently lost. I know things are crazy when it comes to submissions but jeez, and the fact that they still charged you the $300 is just super scummy tbh. If it was delayed maybe 2 weeks I would still be fine paying the $300 but 3 months? Nah, charge me less because this is not the service I paid for.

I’ve had the worst experience with them.. I sent in 4 cards. All 4 cards got damaged in shipping on the way back to me. One of those cards graded a 10...to make it up they gave me a free submission.. yea I know right . My 1000 dollar card is now ruined and I’m still waiting for that second sub.. I like there slabs but fuck them

Yah I sent in 4 zards (two each of the champions path ones) to bgs in what I believe was last October, for the 20 day turnaround time... idk what's going on but to this day the only thing I've heard is that the grading process has begun (that was in January) and nothing since then. I had the money I needed available at one point but bills came up and now I need to try saving that money again. Really wish I could tell when I'm going to get charged.

Shocked you are not happy, got a 8.5, compared to 6 from PSA. Doubt you won’t use BGS again because prices for high end cards are way cheaper than PSA. Just graded my Kobe Bryant first Upper Deck Jersey card, $150, PSA would have charged me way more, $10k card. Anybody who is making money has to use PSA, Beckett and maybe others

PSA was run by a publicly traded company before the company was sold and went private, Beckett is run like a mom and pop shop with an outdated website and system put together by interns over a summer.

I’m very scared to use BGS, especially after hearing all of the horror stories. If anything, I’ll just do the walk-in grading service and sit there for 2 hours to make sure they don’t lose my cards somehow😂

Never sent any card or even coin to get graded because honestly I don't get to see them doing the grade and don't know what they do behind the scenes. Gjradijng companies really to have so much for gray area to work with around stuff and people really are too hung up on getting their piece of cardboard in a plastic slab. People should realize that if they have a card that should be good enough because grading never existed like 25 plus years ago. All about money nowadays instead of more the collecting aspect to people which really sucks in my mind

Beckett is now using Palantir Foundry software to address this shared customer experience. Beckett has already begun integrating legacy systems into Palantir Foundry, allowing customers to more rapidly and easily access decades of data about cards, comics, and other collectibles, as well as automating the process of grading and authenticating. Beckett aims to eventually have the most comprehensive data set in the collectibles space and the hobby community, across comics, cards, VHS, and other assets

I sent off one of the most horribly miscut ultra rares I’ve ever seen….does psa look at the card and say wow another card is starting on this card… 99.9% yes. In my case psa 5 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sent a charizard vmax shiny in and it went "missing en route" to them and I had to start an insurance claim....it is possible someone in the mail room at bgs or the mail person stole it, be careful folks and definitely don't send anything without insurance

Damn this is an eye opening review. Sorry you had to go through that Rhyme. Been following you for quite some time and love the videos and openings. If I went through the same thing you did I would go crazy from anxiety. Luckily enough I was on the side of great customer service - shipping from Canada I came to the conclusion that If I wanted to get my cards within a month BGS would be better than PSA. They updated me throughout the whole process and I ended up getting the cards on time with a slight delay to due the pandemic. In fairness, I haven't graded since last year just because I don't want my cards in limbo and I don't trust the timelines - like in this case they'll charge you no matter happens and how long it takes.

Mailing cards for grading was already a bitch and a half before COVID, but now? Oh my God, forget it. These grading companies need to step their game up. Last thing you want is to lose a card that insurance wont fully cover(after potential grade) after waiting forever for your submission.

This is my biggest problem with Beckett, even though I am a big fan of their slabs and chasing the Black Label. They have to fix their processing for cards for their customers. They don't update you at all when they received them. They only update you when cards are being graded and shipping it off to you. Everyone has some bad experience with every grading service.

For those saying that you should fight the charge, are fighting a battle that they will not win. My PSA express submission has been there since March 3rd, It hasn’t been graded yet. Every company is experiencing this problem. I do agree with Rhyme when it comes to the tracking. They need a better system, or a system in general where it tells you where you are with your submission. Thats bad on their end.

I am the same when it’s a business that’s this unprofessional whit the service but ye sure maybe not all people experience this but and sure if it takes a little longer time but you tried a couple of things to get information about your card and no response for so long 😳 I would be furious 😤😅 but it’s good you got your card back bro and congrats on the grad 😁🔥🤘🔥 I’m waiting on my 5 cards that’s on cgc and it’s the first cards I’m grading to 👀😁👊

This type of stuff happens all the time....with every company. Things get lost in the system. And I found that the 10-15 day time frame, is 10-15 business days, so 2-3 weeks, minimum. If his friends are getting them back in 7 days? I’ll be honest, I don’t buy it. The fastest I have received an order from BGS lately, express or premium, was 12 business days. Not including the ship time out there, from when it arrived at BGS. Usually entered 1-2 days later. I put a paper copy of my order right inside the box, and 1 under the rubber bands around the cards. I’ve found it gets scanned in faster that way. I’m sure there are horror stories like this for every grading company.

Unacceptable customer service. We can understand that things happen and get lost and what not but the fact that they didn't try to remedy the situation makes even me mad. It costs them probably no more than $2-$3 to even a grade a card and they didn't lower your grading price when it was their fault is disgusting. They know they can get away with this level of customer service because PSA is shut down and other grading companies are just as backed up. Someone needs to give them a swift kick in the ass, won't be using Beckett ever in my life after this story.

I recently received back from Beckett approx. 40 cards of the 700+ cards of a new boxed 1970 Topps Baseball set for grading as a representative sample of the entire set. Couldn't afford to have the entire set graded for sure. Heard nothing during the 5 months of waiting other than when the cards went from one step to another. No signs of trouble. Then after paying close to $800 for the grading, all cards returned as "altered". New set and all were enclosed in single case with the "Authentic Altered" stamp. They didn't stop to think that maybe someone else ought to look at a unopened set and see if there might be a mistake by the grader. Or, maybe we should contact this person and ask if he wants to pay to put all these cards in cases marked incorrectly. No, they graded every single card as altered and took the money. I've contacted them but they see no problem with how they handled this order. Be very hard to go back to Beckett in the future. J.K. Lockridge NC

18 months later and this is STILL EXACTLY THE SAME. Described turnaround times of 10-15 days, they took months. Customer service is slow and RUDE af, will never use them again, never experienced anything like it. Quite literally exact same experience as yourself.... soooo frustrated and has tainted those cards for me now.

I sent in 9 cards premium, they had a special that came with a zion case. 2 months ago, this was first time ever sending in cards 60 be graded. I'm a new collector, I got back 2 black labels, super happy about that. but 1 of then was a mislabel, I'm not sure how that happen exactly. but the mislabel has a population report and it's a pop 1., They realized their mistake and now these same cards are being graded with the correct labels... but with no pop report. strange anyways, I've got this pop 1 black mislabel 😂🌟 Did not directly notify them but I assume if I asked him to put the proper maplelawn they will do that,,, but I doubt that is even worth doing seeing as something being mislabeled as rare and on top of that it's a black label... I don't want to risk sending it back through the mail Anybody else heard of anything like this before and what do you think is it now more valuable,? edit, my order total was about 550 bucks, and turnaround was about 10 days from dropping the package off at the post office to being in my mailbox return

Sent my rare collection that I've collected since i was kid to cgc. Haven't had a bad customer service or problems with their slabs. Would love to see you summit some cards to cgc to get your review for them.

BGS is actual garbage..... they keep doing this to people. Recently watched a vid of someone sending in about 14 Yugioh cards in for regrade. They were all graded 8-9 originally(with 0 subgrades at 10). Came back all 9-9.5 with multiple 10 sub grades and over 70% of subgrades were changed... they are basically guessing at this point....

I’ve only submitted with CGC, I’m planning to submit to PSA but CGC is a very nice service. I got overwhelmed when trying to submit to BGS and I didn’t like that you can’t verify slabs unless you are a member. CGC and psa let you verify slabs without needing to be a member. BGS Black Labels are pretty but if it’s not a black label then I won’t own BGS.

My best friend and I talked about our terrible service with Beckett on our Podcast, we submitted six cards that cost over $2k altogether in January for express grading and they haven't sent anything back, not in system and their customer support lines have full mailboxes, no one picks up even after calling every day from March to May. Their Sales manager for my area was on vacation for a while, got back to me asking about details and then never got back to me despite several follow-ups. Never using their service again unless they can find our cards or reimburse us because we did have the insurance on them... But since our order is not in their system we can't claim it? Absolutely frustrating. We lost three Evolutions Charizards, a Shining Gyarados, a Secret Rare Pikachu VMAX, and an Umbreon EX (first printing).

Here in the UK CGC charge for the cheapest rate £25/$30 and charge £8/$11 for subs. Excuse me but why the fuck aren’t you giving subs out as standard? I mean the grader already either does the subs in their head or already catalogs them ready for subs if you pay for them? Why should we pay extra for a service that should be guaranteed with the service? Blows my mind. I’m dreading cars grading next year. Soon as PSA open up they’ll close again in 3 months and I ain’t paying £40+ a card to wait 9 months+

I'm french so I didn't understand everything aha, but I truly think they cant treat all of their customers at Time.. They havn't enough workers or.. I don't know, that's a mindfuck for me yet aha ^^ For your 8.5, effectly I think PSA could better take in consideration default from the creation of the cards, Topps had a good printing on their cards but plastic cards are stucked together and it could damaged your Topps card. In all case, I have a dirty impression, it's like we can't trust any company of graduation, it's a big mess and the community needs a truly company in we will can have blindly faith. Bisous from France Rhymestyles, and all of the People had passion of Pokémon Cards, and some of them who trade like me ! It's a huge business and I want to make of the trading cards my work , it grows everyday now !

Bro WTF... This should get a 6 grade at best! Wth is wrong with you?! Even if its no bend but just bad printing quality, how would it make a difference?! The card is still EXC at best?! Srsly this should be 6 at best... Much more like 4 or sth...

BECKETT GREEDY SERVICES the better business bureau go read the remarks made by Beckett media laughing at customers who don't pay the express or premium service and say to bad were continuing to push wait times.

BGS is not very professional. When you put in the weborder and send in your card, there's no records in your account. They are severely behind on technology. If you navigate around long enough on their website, you will realize that they are running concurrent old and new servers that are servicing their website. Problem is, it's antiquated and both systems dont always communicate. As much money as they make, they refuse to update their technology.

I mean i use bgs almost every week and this I believe was just a mistake on there end they almost always uphold their current turnaround times for premium and express. I do however believe they should have refunded you or have you some kind of credit for the problems you went through.

PSA is the only company I deal with although wish they bring back the 9.5 Grade Bgs also needs to overhaul there brick holder which I'm not a fan of. Prefer the psa holder which is much more attractive and the card is more clearly visible.

BGS’s favorite grade is the 8.5. Every card I ever send them gets An 8.5, even cards that came factory sealed from Panini and were never held by a human hand. This is why I will never use them again.

All of these grading companies just suck. And it's not their fault, it's ours for giving them so much power and influence over trading card values. They have 0 incentive to provide good service, communication, etc. because good luck keeping your card raw or going to a competitor for grading which will provide you an equally terrible experience. The reason most (people that grade cards) stay quiet about it is literal stockholm syndrome.

Beckett is a viable option, I have and will use them for the sturdy protective cases, subgrading and general acceptance to grading authenticity. One biggest knock on them is the customer service. They will play the pass it on game and never really step up... we will get back to you o thanks for your question and patience we will get back to you broken record response...No they will not. Wish they would hire a collector that has been through the process and understands our side of it.

Watched your video PSA is no better in my opinion it is complete garbage how can they not differentiate between a 9 and a 10 makes no sense not to mention the fact that bgs grading returns higher values PSA is junk I've seen the PSA 10 that wouldn't even get a B gs-9 so opinions are like noses everybody has one I would never ever use psa !!!!!

Not sending to BGS ever again I’m extremely upset. I have submitted 5 cards for the 60 day service it’s been 120 days now and now they’re telling me that it’s going to take 220 days. Oh and get this they already charged me for those 5 cards. Now they’re telling me if I want to do the express 30 day that it’s going to be 615 dollars on top of what they already charged me.

Wait PSA under scored a card instead of over scoring? I'm honestly so annoyed that the only way to get my high value cards at their full price is to deal with PSA. They also have poor customer service and their prices are so high its only worth grading certain cards because of the money lost on grading. The only thing beckett does nice tbh is the label which I guess HGC gets points for the grade breakdown on the label as well. Cgc grading now is a great look for the future of grading once people come off the namesake of psa. Plus psa carelessly grades like I've seen psa give 8s a 10 before and this card is another good example of a false grade

Every Legitimate company is usually required to have a business bond. If you paid for a service and did not receive it I would send them a polite message letting them know that you're going to Sue their bond company. They're bound and company usually is public information. If it's worth it to you, idk but that's how you get your money back.

It shows what these grading companies really think about their customers...they don't care. They're getting so muich business, they can't even handle all the business they're getting, so they don't care about any individual customer. That kind of philosophy is really going to come back to bite them in the ass when the card market slows down and people can actually pick and choose which companies they want to actually patronize, instead of which company is just accepting submissions.
