Hey! I’m Indian. This issue is person related. Please don’t think like this. Things are changing. So please don’t talk for every Indian. I am not saying we don’t have this system. We have it and it’s evolving. It’s varies generation to generation and geography. In some rural communities, it’s very much there. But it will change in coming generations. You see, not every country / communities has 100% tolerance for every community. Every community is evolving with time. I am glad I see changes in my community. That’s all I’m hoping for. It will take some time. And you have to think for individuals. You can call some one racist if you experienced intolerance/ prejudice towards you because your skin color. But You can’t label entire country / community as Racist. That’s propaganda. It applies to every country and communities.

If you research the history of the Siddis, you’ll find that at the time during colonisation when Indians came to Africa to be indentured servants and workers, simultaneously the British kidnapped Africans and sent them to India to be chattel slaves. Whilst the Indians were treated with respect by Africans in Africa … (only to be looked down on by Indians), the Africans in India i.e. the Siddis have been treated worse than animals. Indians have more love for their cows and take better care of their animals than they do for the Siddi community. This African community is ostracised to live on the outskirts of civilisation with no amenities. Not many Africans know about the plight of the Siddi community in India, which is in its self sad and disgraceful.
