Wow I never thought of Melaleuca as an invasive species. We don’t get the wet weather you have there. It doesn’t have much a chance to get out of control. I’ve turned a few pieces of different types of melaleuca, all seam to be hard and pretty colors.

Thank you knot great woodworks. I’ll be glad to update you about the wood. I’m not that familiar with melaleuca and it’s color myself. I never thought much about it until a friend turned a bowl. When it was done I was very surprised as to how beautiful it was. The color was not dark at all. Light tan as best I can remember. But I don’t think it was the same variety as this one. Thanks again. I’ll try to give you an update
