Indeed, he had plenty of time to restock and get ready. He knows that an arena has fighting in it, that there would probably be a rescue attempt for prisoners. Or there is the simple reason of it simply not crossing his mind at the time. Heck, he could've used his clones to pretend to be him while he escaped or to fake his death.

Indeed he has and Boba still has a similar strategy though just more better lol....his firepower is significantly greater IMO if we're talking screen time even with what little was seen in the book of boba and mando with his blaster, dual-wrist-blaster, wrist mounted concussive rocket, wrist mounted flame thrower, wrist mounted cable launcher, knee pad rockets and rocket launcher jetpack...
Actually no he didn't. During Return of the Jedi when Jabba was going to execute Luke even though he had the advantage of distance Boba used his jet pack to get closer to Luke. Lord knows why he did this? He should have stayed on Jabba's sail barge and snipe him from there.
So @@bull.dozier9271 is completely right. But the one survival technique that he left out that Boba learned quicker than his father did, was how to avoid danger. A complaint people had about book of Boba Fett that I never understood was that Boba didn't cause enough violence in that show. Boba Fett lives longer than his father because he's smarter than his father. He doesn't do a damn thing without a reason. He's not going to get involved in a fight that doesn't matter. He's only going to get involved in fights if he needs to, or if it's going to net him a profit. And frankly, even when he kills all those nikto speed bikers, he doesn't cuz it's emotionally satisfying, but he does it because he needs to. In no universe could he let those speed bikers live. That's his territory.
@@aznsbd The real answer is that George Lucas wanted to kill off Boba Fett since he didn't get to write Return of the Jedi the way he wanted to. Boba Fett was supposed to be the bad guy for the original trilogy, and the sequel trilogy was supposed to be about Darth Vader. A lot of complications happened, and he didn't get his way with the character, so he decided to kill him off. But my head canon is that he literally just wanted to roast Luke alive. I know he's shooting at him with the wrist laser, but when he initially flies to the skiff, I like to think that he was actually thinking about roasting the young Jedi alive, out of hatred for the Jedi that killed his father. That's why he got in close. Plus the e-web was mounted on the sail barge itself, so it's like they already had a sniper. I think he was just eager to kill a young and unskilled Jedi, and his underestimation of Luke Skywalker is what led to the most embarrassing moment in his life after losing his father. I think that's why it was so important that Luke show up in the show book of Boba Fett, to remind you what he's moved on from.

idk why people act like he went out like a bitch. dude got ran over by the beast, had his jetpack destroyed, got right back up, killed the beast, got rushed by one of the most powerful jedi and kept shooting until the very end. that's a pretty damn cool way to go out
I think the complaint is twofold. 1. He's a hit and run fighter and flying into the arena made little sense. 2. His confrontation with Mace should have lasted longer.
People act like he went out like a bitch because he went out like a bitch. As the above comment mentions, extremely direct confrontations with Jedi is usually out of style for Jango. It made little sense to risk confrontation with so many Jedi at once. Mace Windu was unarmed at one point, and instead of taking advantage of the opportunity by simply shooting Mace and winning the fight before it began, he conjures up the idiotic idea of trying to dolphin dive on top of the lightsaber. This was obviously never going to work. Mace has the force. Even if Jango had gotten to it first, it's almost guaranteed that Mace would snatch it back anyway. As Mace approaches him, Jango simply allows it by doing practically nothing. Jango was also an adept hand-to-hand combatant. His armor is canonically pure beskar. He could have blocked Mace's attack with his forearm and fought back more than he did, similar to the cut take of his original death. Jango's death wasn't done justice. The best and most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, although dying to a very worthy opponent, he failed to showcase any true skills that earned him his title in the first place.
@@TheSilentCheetah I agree with most of your points, Jango was a bad badass and deserved a better scene, he wasn't the most feared. More people in the galaxy were worried about Cad Bane during Jango's time and Boba ended up becoming more infamous than either of them during his.

@TheSilentCheetah he did get rather screwed. FFS he killed ...I forget exactly how many jedi with his bare hands and a rock. Granted they weren't the jedis master at arms, but still. He really did get the fuzzy end of the lollipop for plot pacing. He should have been able to make much more of a fight out of it.
I figured he didn't bring out his other gun cause he took care of that Dino Jedi with ease with a blaster granted the Dino Jedi wasn't expecting Jango but that's my thought

And if you played SW Bounty Hunter you may recognize that’s the other jet pack he gets earlier in the game, and by Attack Of The Clones at Geonosis using it as his backup. It’s a shame, why wouldn’t Jango have re equipped some new weapons going only with that single blaster? Sure he blasted one jedi with a single pistol just earlier in the scene but…
There is also a thing not many people know about, mace didnt kill him, he wasnt in control, his force ability thats lets see him weakpoints merged with waapaad and wanst needed to finish

Back in the day, I was in the theatre very disappointed. I was hoping for an epic battle between two types of master tacticians. It would have been nice to see it on screen and not some excuse list on RU-vid.
To be fair, it makes sense how it all went down. Even with a functional jetpack and both Westar-34 Blasters, Jango stands little chance. Mace Windu is a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat and he is much more powerful in the Force than other Jedi that Jango has faced up to this point. While the fight would surely be longer, it wouldn't be *much* longer and the outcome still wouldn't change.
@@Lord_Draco_IIIHe shouldnt be in that chaos arena in the first place. He can fly and stay on high grounds. Thats how he defeated many other force users before. And i'd agree that Mace is to much to win, but he'd put up way more of a fight then get rammed and then beheaded. Utelizing all his tech and range to do more damage and at least create s resemblence of a fight. Jango as we know was the best of his time, had alot of expotience fighting and killing force users. Trained by Mandalorians to fight booth men and beast. To use his tech well. And the moment he landed in the chaos he killed himself far earlier then Mace approach. Same happened to Boba who with a rifle flew close to a Wookie and Jedi with a lightsaber.

Booth Boba and Jangos fate were poorly written due to them not to be ment much while they were created. Legends and other following media expanded on them and the Mandalorian culture after and thus with it motivated by fan favor made booth badasses and force user killers. While in the movies booth die like idiots for comic relief (Boba), and to just get rid of (Jango). Contrary to the fully fleshed out characters Lucas old *CANON* extended stories finally portrait them as. So i really fail to see why you try so hard to only stick to the movies, ignoring all other canon. As well as failing to see the obvious inconcistancy and joke of a death booth got. Boba of cource luckly recently retconned, fitting to his old extended canon.

Rather tgen who he actually is, how his expirience and skill should factor in. And think of a more...realistic scenario. For as much as i love the OG Star wars, Jangos death is the one thing that never sat right with me. Allthou Bobas (Back then death) was worse. Having a long range focus rifle and jetpack. Fly in meelee range of someone with a lightsabre, a wookie and another combat expirienced criminal over a Sarlac Pit. Then get hit in the Jetpack after having said rifle sliced? It screams setup.
@shibathesamurai9893 A lot of people in Disney Star Wars survive lightsaber wounds more often now. I think Disney woke up to that and that's why The Acolyte has some of the most brutal fighting in all of Star Wars. Too bad the plot was such a mess

Mace Windu propably didn’t wanna kill him, he just wanted to hurt his legs, but didn’t expect that his jetpack didn’t work. That’s why he looked so surprised after it
Orphaned Boba picking up his Fathers head was a horrific scene. Boba and Anakin stories have so much parallel. In Legends, Boba ended up in a place of consolation giving Jaina his blessing
Running away would be futile anyway, mace runs quicker and shooting while running is way harder. Jango really did the only viable thing by keep shooting while backing away

@@MysticXXgrappling hook, whistling birds, flame thrower, jet rocket. All weapons and distractions used to effectively fight against the Jedi. Jango-fett used the grapple and flame thrower to great effect against obiwan. There’s lore of Mando’s using whistling birds to overwhelm and disorient Jedi then taking their fighting hand out of combat with the grapple, just to pull and finish the flame thrower or blaster. The mandolorians were one of few who could say the Jedi were an even match. They r also one of few who defeated Jedi and sith alike without any force powers

@Originalchili It's not hindsight. In life-and-death situations, you want as few things that can break as possible. Especially battle. Eventually anything that can break when you don't want it to, will break when you don't want it to.
Jango should've shown Boba when to fight back against people and when not to. He should've stayed with Boba by Dookus side and explained to Boba why he isn't going in there to fight windu.
In due fairness, he did not expect to be murdered by the near-vice president of the Jedi council. Even Dooku made a “the f%ck did you do man??” face after he did it
The only thing i DISLIKE about this is that Jango died due to mechanical malfunction. I just feel like he is the type of character that should die due to his OWN mistakes. At the same time i like it though because it mirrors bobas death in ROTJ.
But we also know that Mace wouldn't step back feom using the force to crush his jetpack. In Clone Wars he used the force to crush Grievous Body like force choking but with the whole body and not the throat. So the fight wouldn't be much longer
I think it’s cool that even though George had never officially canonized beskar being lightsaber resistant he still didn’t show Jango’s armor getting damaged. Mace just chops his exposed neck. I can’t remember if beskar had been described in books or comics before Attack of the Clones came out, but either way he still left the door open for beskar being canonized as lightsaber and blaster resistant later on which is pretty cool.
I like to think Jango knew he was going to die when he looked back at his jetpack and saw it was broken. He was such a cold warrior, he wasn't going to die without a fight and certainly not surrender.
I wish he had more screen time. Maybe someday we can get a show that shows the things that Jango taught Boba before he died or just a show about Jango in general
There's also the fact that the Reek attacked Windu first and disarmed him. And instead of shooting Windu when he was unarmed or using his whip cord to get the pimp-saber, Jango dives for it like a scrub. 🤦♂️ That was why he was left open to get trampled and so on and so forth.
Not only that, but it was explained in the jango fett comic book as well, which takes place prior to the clone wars. Jango fetts more RELIABLE, and expensive jetpack was destroyed on a bounty mission. So, he had to use the less reliable and prone to breaking model, which malfunctioned due to damage during his fight with windu. Whats troubling, he asked his Droid to REPAIR and perform maintainance on that very jet pack and the driod actually forgot too.
Also, because Windu was unlike any other jedi, and he used a rare force ability known as shatterpoint, which essentially allows the user to pinpoint weaknesses in their opponents.
He still should have used his flamethrower to stall for time and obscure where his blaster shots were coming from. Unless the flamethrower is a thing that only his son has.
He uses it minutes before to force Windu out of that viewing box. They should've showed him try to use it again, but maybe it got smashed by the beast as well.
He blew his load already like dude said. They don't get too many shots with the flame thrower im willing to bet the viewing box was the last bit of fuel in it.
Jango's biggest mistake that day was not looking around the area he was landing until he actually landed. Had he been able to recognize there was a alien rhino charging directly where he was going, he could've probably landed somewhere else and escape the arena in the end.
Also Windu didn't actually want to kill, he predicted Jango going up with his Jetpack and tried to cut his legs off, but since the Jetpack malfunctioned instead he got his neck
There's also the fact Mace had a very aggressive combat style, and Jango didn't account for the fact he wouldn't take prisoners this time like others might in any other situation.
At the end of SW Bounty Hunter, the story on how Count Dooku found the host of the clone army, Jango fought and defeated Vosa, a corrupted former Jedi Master and Queen of the "death sticks" market!
Mandalorians are great at shock tactics and surprise attacks and used them to great effects during their many wars. Unfortunately shock and surprise tactics tend to only work the first time around... which is why they usually ended up losing in their many wars...

people forget jango actually unalives a jedi before he fought windu, when hes at the top with dooku and the seperatists a weird fish looking jedi jumps up and ignites his lightsaber and jango immediately engages him and unalives him, then jumps down and unalives that big beast and then takes on master windu, jango was in a league of his own when it came to ordinary men he showed no fear and he went out fighting even though hes just a bounty hunter
For obvious reasons, he lost the high ground. His jet pack allowed him to have the ultimate weapon obi wan sought after, but due to its malfunction he lost.
Jango has killed like six Jedi with his bare hands, he was the sole survivor of the Battle of Galidraan, he killed Komari Vosa and held his own against Kenobi. However, Mace Windu is one of the most powerful Jedi of the prequel era, and his shatter point ability alone outclasses him above most other Jedi. Jango’s fatal mistake was falling in with the wrong crowd, and being essentially disposed of when his usefulness to the grand plan was complete. Dooku could’ve advised against engaging Windu as he did to Grievous, but he chose not to.
