Thank you for watching! I didn't trust the 360 underwater so we used the DJI Osmo action for underwater shots, with a cheap dive housing case that we got from Amazon. It worked great for a cheaper price than gopro. I think the newer ones might be a bit pricier than ours though. Hope you have a great trip!
There is always a risk of sharks or jellyfish in the ocean, but in Thailand and Koh Tao specifically you will mostly only see black tip reef sharks which are small and harmless. Sightings of dangerous sharks are very rare and there has only been a single confirmed case of a shark attack in Thailand in the last 500 years! Box Jellyfish can be found in Thailand and are dangerous, but we did not see any jellyfish or sharks on any of our dives. You would have to watch out for signs on beaches warning of box jellyfish, which we did see in other parts of Thailand. Are you planning to dive in Koh Tao?
I spent a few years on koh toa over a decade plus ago and if whale sharks passed by which they did very very rarely some years not at all, they get so bothered by humans and boats they defo do not stay and probably teach their young to avoid it.
