And this is exactly why men are leaving. Pastors are crapping on men, and I mean working real men, while women are being put on pedestal. You have pinpointed the problem exactly. No pastor will have the guts to talk about what happened to Queen Vashti when she disrespected her husband in front of hundreds of quests, first chapter of the book of Ester if I remember correctly.

I loved it when Rich & Rollo collaborated on a regular basis. They did great work together. I wish Rollo would've taken some of the ways Rich was able to condense ideas and simplify them. Rollo is Rollo, I guess. Another thing he never picked up from their collaborations was to stay away from drama and focus on actionable information. Rollo is still my favorite idea guy in this space, but imagine how much bigger he would be if he focused on his strengths and became a lot more stoic.

If you don't believe Jesus is God, he is Almighty Prophet, and there is a God (monotheism), then you are close enough to become Muslim. The trinity concepts were thought from church, as far as I know. You will not find a clear Trinity concept explained on your Bible, check it out!.

@oakinwol

@@freedomfighter271 This is actually very simple. Spirituality is about a relationship with God. Religion is simply different explanations of what God wants. You can't have a good relationship with someone for whom the entire relationship is about you and what you want and what you gain. Those are not good relationships. A good relationship would comprise someone actually wanting to know what God wants and caring about God. And that is the fundamental question for those who really care about God vs those whose relationship with God is the same as all their other relationships, really just about themselves

I've abandoned religion not the church you got your beliefs wrong homie. You can be a man of faith and put God first but forsake the Denominations of men. God is interested in your intimacy with Him and to most women I hate to say it but Today a man won't have a lot of options if he's serious about God. Flirting and reading the Bible through the holy spirit doesnt mix. 1. Is pleasing the flesh the other is using more reliance on God's word. You will have more opposition when you get closer to God. Look at all of the characters in the bible and you'll see your answers. A spiritual woman must be equal to that man Spiritually, Emotionally, and Mentally. If she is not in all 3 categories that man will forget her.

WOW!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I am the son of a Protestant minister in a large main line denomination in the United States and what you have said about the feminization of the Church is dead on. In fact, I just had this conversation with my father the other day and he completely agrees. When I was a child our churches and my private Christian school were led by American and some British World War II vets. They were confident, accomplished, charming gentlemen who excelled in everything that they did. They ran our church board meetings and Bible studies with a level of principled leadership that can never be matched again. Over the past twenty years, most of these gentlemen have passed away (some are still rocking it in their 90s) and were replaced by their beta boomer sons and domineering boomer daughters. Now the women have taken over almost all of the leadership in our domination and they are completely hostile to all cisgender white men. My dad is 70 and the Church leadership on the regional level makes him go to conferences on checking his white privilege even though he voluntarily served in poor, inner city churches when I was younger. The Church is a complete mess but luckily my faith isn't in people. I can't wait to dig into Rollo's book. I already gave out copies of Rich's book to my fellow soldiers in my Army National Guard unit and the young guys have devoured every word. Rumor is that Rich's book is even being secretly given away by Drill Sergeants at basic training.

Believe it or not, it’s very expensive to operate a church, especially if the church has a good location like it’s on a major street. The church survives out of the 10% of salaries to pay for the property, to maintain the property, to help pay for certain activities done by the church as a whole, to pay for the pastor salary (which in my experience as a former treasurer was about 20k annually), and so on. An honest church should release a monthly or quarterly statement of the church finances (expenses/income) to the members giving their 10% (tithe).
@benbutch1

@@benbutch1 I forgot to mention that I am no longer a Christian. I’m an agnostic atheist now, but I can confirm as a former church treasurer that the tithe is necessary for probably most small to medium size churches. So this argument that the tithe is a steal is nonsense. If you believe in the good your church does, you need to support them. Nothing is free in this world. All organizations, religious or not, need money to stay afloat.

Yes, it’s true that the Bible teaches that Christ is quick to forgive any and all transgressions, but the element that those people miss is that one must be genuinely remorseful for those sins and seek to never commit them again. I wouldn’t say my friends and I have left religion after taking the red pill. However we have largely abandoned the church and the congregation. What the Bible actually says about a marriage relationship and what the pastor tells you about a marriage relationship are often two separate things. The church would never tell a woman she’s having issues in her marriage because she won’t submit herself to her husband as under the lord. They won’t tell women to not become pastors as the Bible does not permit that. Many churches won’t put right condemn sodomy. In most cases you find pastor will push the narrative that we men must forgive a woman’s past as Jesus forgave the church and ignore submission. The church is now a social circle to us. The pastor despises us.

Religion is indeed basically a cop-out for many people that do not have the guts to look inside themselves and introspect directly and so they need to use the Bible as a crutch to deal with their traumas instead. It is basically a deflection from the real problem. Churches should say exactly that to these people. Something along the lines of "you have to accept the mistakes of your past yourself before letting God into your heart again" or something like that but hearing about how corrupted and pu$$ified the modern church has become, that most definitely will not be happening. No real human-being needs a book to tell them that they have committed serious errors in the past and they need to put in the work to correct them. Lord forgive me. walk out with a clear and absolved conscience because only God can judge. So who care what any man or person in her life says. That whole faith thing is a double edged sword. FACTS
@randyjones3050
@randyjones3050 2 года назад
As a lifelong church member, there are lots of reasons men are leaving the church. The biggest reason is that most men under the age of 40 were never in a church to begin with so they never actually left. Church going Christians are a minority of the American population now. Another major reason is a general lack of belief in the major tenants of "traditional" Christianity. (Belief in the divinity of Christ, belief in the resurrection, belief in sin, belief in the ten commandments, etc.) Also, it is challenging for modern people to put their faith ahead of their own personal wants and desires now. Having served on Church boards for many years, I've seen all the silly stupid petty fights that go on in churches that make people angry. Most people don't have the spiritual maturity to learn forgiveness, so they leave after getting upset about some issue that really isn't that important or they leave over a misunderstanding. Pride, misunderstandings, and hurt feelings are the biggest things that drive people out of churches in my observation. Then there are the cultural issues in many mainline churches. Most (not all) of the mainline churches have become completely "woke" in their politics and theology. It is a cancer that is killing Christianity in the developed world. Even the more conservative and traditional denominations have some lesser degree of feminist taint because church members are saturated with it in the culture and then drag it into the church. The failure of women to willingly submit to male authority in the more traditional churches is largely due to the cultural shift in society being imported in by women by allowing them to sit on church councils, teaching Bible classes and Sunday School etc.
@Kirby5413

I'm in the minority in this opinion, but I think the so-called Church Growth Movement that was prominent in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s sowed the seeds of the current collapse we are witnessing in local Protestant and Evangelical congregations. The CGM taught churches to "change with the times" and to cater to the felt needs of baby boomers and their kids. It promoted the destruction of the historic traditions and worship practices of churches and replacing it with music and practices that reflected American pop culture. It also promoted more emphasis of "practical" sermons and less emphasis on doctrine and dogma. The Catholics had their equivalent movement that manifested in the form of the Second Vatican Council which ravaged the traditional teachings and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. After over 40 years the results have been catastrophic. In addition, the rise of the megachurch movement also had negative overall consequences for smaller congregations. Small churches could never compete with the "big box" megachurches which specialized in flashy worship entertainment and parish programs while being very thin on scripture and theology. I always call megachurches the "back door of Christianity". During their heyday they specialized in sheep stealing people from smaller churches looking for something more exciting. Then as those megachurches inevitably peaked and then declined their members generally just left Christianity completely.

I would also like to add the fear based dispensationlist theology didn’t help. There’s only so many times you can claim that Jesus is coming back in X year & person X is the anti christ before people get tired. I’d also add that most churches don’t even have men’s ministries in any capacity.

I don’t agree with all of the theology of orthodox but it’s a place I can worship God. I’ve seen the feminization in church before my eyes. Majority female leadership, condoning young women’s actions, and criticizing good young men. The official members in the church were stuck up and super fake. It was like having a conversation with a robot. I was so thirsty for authenticity and had a difficult time finding it. Pastors assume that relationships are in trouble because the husband is at fault. So preaching is going to appeal to women. By the way, Church is just a community. You don't need it to have religion or pray to God. It is just there to surround yourself with like minded people. Go your own way, speak to God directly if you are religious. You don't need a middle man to speak to God for you. It kind of hurt to see this, but as a Christian man, this is true. I don’t blame God for it, I blame society and church leaders for not keeping up with the times. For some reason, God allows it. I grew up in a Christian home. I parted ways when I was 18, and dedicated my life to Christ at 36. I dated a couple girls at church, and I had no success. Both of those girls ended up dating outside church to guys who have no religious background. I myself, ended up finding a good Catholic girl overseas who I am now married to. You are part of the problem. See women can't teach because women can't quarrel. Read the "Old Testament" and you will see that if two men are quarreling (which is to say striving or arguing), women are not to intervene. If the dispute cannot be resolved between the two, it goes to judges (elders of the city) and Levites who are learned in how to discern and settle matters according to the Torah. You see women are not meant to be judges, or teachers because they are not given the power to strive. I woman doesn't strive with a man because a man is stronger than her. I know you Christians are different because you allow women to be teachers but women shouldn't strive with men in any society.

It all happened in less than 6 months, one after another. And when I cried out to God for peace and help, he ignored me. When I opened his bible, it angered me, because the verses of comfort I used to read, were now verses that taunted me and flipped the middle finger to my struggle. Religions are legal systems set up to control the flow of property and power in a society. Religion and Spirituality are not equivalent. Religions typically co-opt the teachings of a spiritual leader for the benefit of the institution not for benefit of the followers. Religious institutions purport to advance the teachings of a founder or a teacher who inspired the creation of the religion. But in truth the only purpose of the institution is to further the power of the institution. Many people today see through the illusion and choose to pursue their spiritual practice outside of a traditional religious institution. Men seem to do this more than women.

I was born and raised a Catholic and still have a complete and profound belief in God However I have lost all faith in and respect for the Catholic Church as it went down hill on full afterburner after the loss of Pope John Paul as it's mortal leadership When Notra Dame invited president nObama a champion of slaughtering the unborn to be a commencement speaker I loss all use for the Catholic church When the cardinal of NYC refused to excommunicate the Mayor after he allowed regulation that a woman could actually have her new born babies life ended my.lack of respect for the Catholic church turned to dispisement Religion is a very good thing but like all organizations it's only as good as long as it remains true to its core values and adheres to the rules and only the members can insure the leaders remain true to thier rules and values.

Precisely. Any Catholic who is at least acquainted with the statements and policies of Pope Francis over the last few years knows they have been utterly corrupted. Add the molestation scandals and cover up..it's not like a reasonable person expects perfection and stasis but the cover up scandals alone destroyed any credibility they had. Pope Francis is a globalist anyways, not a Catholic. Oh, don't forget that prior to Pope Francis installation that Pope Benedict XVI is the only Pope in over two thousand years to have resigned. It's just a coincidence of course.

Interesting that you use the term "illogical", which derives from the Greek word "Logos", which is itself a religious concept -- meaning the fundamental supernatural order of the universe, i.e., the mind of God. The Gospel of John refers to "the Logos incarnate". To say that something is "illogical" is literally to say that it is "contrary to the fundamental supernatural order of the universe -- i.e., the mind of God".

My two cents worth. I think religion/christianity/churchianity has done much good in that in the past it clearly defined men's and women's roles. Unfortunately, not so much anymore. After spending my life researching religion I have come to the conclusion that organized religion is not based in reality and fact, but in wishful thinking. I do believe (based on the detailed complexity and order within the universe) that there must have been a first cause. Who or what that force was we can only speculate as that ENTITY has chosen to remain in silent obscurity.

Would really love to hear Rich Cooper talk more about spirtuality, faith and the idea of a higher power. Almost everything Rich says about the empirical science, rationality, psychology, social dynamics, business, entrepreneurship, human nature ect. is GOLD and extremly valuable! Helps very much to get closer to win in life, at least materially which lets face it is a huge deal!. But I'm very curious about Richards thoughts on things that are not rational per se, like spirituality things like intuition, love, selfless service, hope, courage, humility, serenity ect. (I know, very often marked as feminine values, and nowadays often misused in a very dishonest and/or hysterical way. (i.e. political correctnesss, feminism, weakness disguising as "compassion" ect.) But I personally do believe there is an important role for those "not so rational" values in their truthful state, I think its also important to comtemplate these concepts at least on a personal level, but I have found that healthy spiritual communities were you can learn about them, practice, meditate, strengthen ones faith ect. can be very useful to build a solid psychological and spiritual foundation It also helps with "doing the work" and crucial for me at least in maintaining hard work, when it comes to rational growth, good psysique, money, be captivating, but also to use those gifts in an ethical and constructive way for the community as a whole. Belief systems about the emperical "real world" is good and neccecary but I think the 'why' and spiritual values is what sustains the beliefs and help individuals to grow in a healthy way. That are my thoughts about this, maybe its a peronality thing from my part, but I'm facinated by deep and philisophical topics like ethics , psychology, meaning and values, and I think true spirituality plays a big role in that. Also, Rich, do you believe you have (some) feminine qualities?, or do you think thats bullshit and men are just men with only masculine traits, and women have only feminine traits, or do you think its normal for men to have (a small amount) a some "femininity" and even good for them to embrace it for the sake of authenticity? Maybe its not the right way to put it, but if I put it another way, do you experience for instance the need for intimancy with a women and the need to communicate feelings to a partner? and is that something men should avoid to talk about or express in some other way than sex, or is intimacy just a beta concept and part of the betatization by a thousand consessions. I want to admit right here and there that I couldnt give a fck if someone judged me for valueing intimacy, because I of course also value other things as well like physical and mental strength, courage, resilience, clear visions and goal oriented actions, and I´m not a slacker and I do the work to the best of my abilities, but I think its important to be your whole authentic self, be as honest as you can be. and have self-compassion, or at least try to develop some sensitivity. I'm guess I'm curious about if Rich is human and has a softer side to him, cause the image on youtube can sometimes be very harsh. this Is not supposed to be anything other than a constructive note, and 99,99999% of Rich Cooper material is so valuable, honest and true. And I'm super grateful for all the messages, wisdom and "harsh" truths you have given us. Nothing but love.

Some guy said that atheism is beta and believing in God is alpha. Even though that sounds like a meme, it holds some truth to it. Believing in God gives you a higher purpose, helps you structure your life, and understanding your value as a man. Atheism and feminism go hand in hand. If you believe women were created for men you can't put them in the pedestal feminism has put them on.

Very true, but believing in God shouldn't be thought as a tool or technique for getting ur life right, it should be an acknowledged reality that God exists and I better do all I need to and can do to please him for MY own good, because the true success is if God views u as successful because he is the all knowing. Not a son, not a spirit, but God the one almighty creator

I grew up in the church and was a youth pastor who went to seminary. Now I'm an atheist, but not a bitter one. I will have to say in my experience with being in so many churches in different cities, the best women are Christian women usually. But, I'm too connected to my beliefs to go after a Christian woman. However, the ones who grew up in church and have walked away from it usually dont have a high body count. But, I have had many women get annoyed with my atheism though they haven't been to church in over a decade. Some of my experiences with those kinds usually have bad dating patterns, but can quickly use God to get self-righteous. Ever noticed how both conservative and liberal women can get self-righteous? Ha!
