Number 3 is still tough for me smh. Im big on relationships but people just want to know what they can get from u and stuff like that. Like u said I want to actually know if I even like u as a person lol could be a great creative and a terrible person. Dope video bro

Couldn’t agree more! Honestly, based off where the conversation starts going, I pretty much get an idea of that persons intentions pretty quick

I agree with you. I’m not huge into filmmaking yet but I’m constant looking to learn new things and I’ve noticed a lot of people around me who claim to be this videographer or whatever they may claim, don’t do any research into their craft. I’ve had convos where people don’t understand white balance and changing it. Or what different focal lengths will do. Like some very basic stuff. Then there’s us who put in mad work and research and I feel like not too many see that, they just see their following and assume they’re good. Like I seen one video the other day where you can see the focus breathing as the camera couldn’t find where to focus because they didn’t light it right. But hey he has thousands of follows so he must be good.

I can not tell you enough where I had times I worked with second camera operators who had a great camera kit, but as I started to pick there Brain it amazed me on how even the smallest things they didn’t know much of, I’m the type of person if I love what I do I’m going to make sure I can learn all that I can about what I’m doing, if people are Entrusting me with there brands video then I want to be able to provide value to the customer, both intelligence value and physical value

EVERYTHING YOU SAID BRO!!!! ... and also because they think equipment has to be top notch or bust, man I got a 28-80mm KIT LENS I put on my Sony... bruh... sigma 24-70mm looking in video LOL. People need to stop fake networking and start aligning to the market where it's needed!!! Now for ME, I'm not failing I personally think I'm holding back and that's me finding work! Production hub too expensive for the year but I'll try staff me up for $150 a year and now i have some actual content, it should drive me something to go on. Good stuff bro!

Gear is a big issue that people have a issue with time and time again, it’s something I feel as they grow they will soon realize it’s not the number 1 priority all the time ProductionHub for me has been a great source , you could always try the monthly subscription, it really just takes 1 job from there to pay for the entire year and then still leave you some profit in your pocket! As far as staff me up I have gotten couple jobs from there but not very much, it’s more for like TV/News style jobs but never the less still can get some cool jobs from there

But you do need to atleast have a foot into the equipment - and a fhd60p coping for 4k60 wont do. Especially if its sony's fhd ( excluding the 12mp cams ) Not to mention having to go handheld when the work is an event work

@@JJARCHIE 4k60 literally did it for me lmy guy... No matter how it's coped, does the result in the end make the client happy? If you have a camera, you can go handheld already. Not shading or challenging or anything, maybe you can elaborate a touch more to help me align to where you are getting sorry.

@@dillondre Yea I'll give them a shot on the monthly but yea I agree on everything. I also feel some believe that because thy don't have enough, they can't get anywhere and that's not true at all, you saw my other comment with my job.. I thought the same thing, that job fell right on into my lap and I took it. RESULTS bring the client. Homeslice on the foot in equipment, I give him that too but lets not confuse that you don't have to have the expensive stuff, you just have to meet their needs. My lil ol workhorse camera I got now, I can timecode, broadcast, send a separate signal for streaming, even my little cheap wireless devices for client view did the job smoothly.

@@tonypmedia what i was saying is that some people go " oh gear dont matter " and then show up with a crappy camera or couldnt bother to try and get access to a better one. last thing you want is to have to compromise and not deliver - the line about " . . and a fhd60p coping for 4k60 wont do. " since most cheap end cams only go up to 4k30 for the sake of 4k
