I mean, I’d say that the hyper armor did nothing in this matchup as she has recovery cancels and can punish me for using it. BUT, yeah if you can’t react to the heavies then it’s hard regardless and on nobu with her terrible offense it’s even worse.

@@WithOneS It’s not the practical use of the hyper armor itself, it’s the fact the opponent has to read when you’re going to use it. Shugoki’s strength is partly the variable timed heavies, but have you noticed that opponents don’t readily fight you as they do other characters? It’s a character where them having to counter your moves/attacks have greater priority. He’s a tough nut to crack, it’s the fear of trading along with trading that shuts down movesets. Edit: In other words, he’s oppressive just standing there and near impossible to crack open unless you have a bash to either 1)Bait out your d headbutt to gb or 2) Bash you during heavies.

Blocking a non-enhanced light will give you frame advantage slightly more so than a counter GB will, ending a chain with a heavy that does not get parried, also gives you frame advantage. Aside from that it’s just certain actions from specific characters that will yield frame advantage, but that just comes from experience and knowing the characters.

That's not true at all. You can definitely improve your reaction speed by a useful amount. Shit, the average human reaction time is more than enough to be able to react well, assuming we aren't factoring in massive amounts of input delay, or playing on 30fps or something.

Completely preference. I personally enjoy the game more on M&K because I just have everything instantly accessible. Controller feels mushy, which is not great for fighting games. Still works perfectly fine though.

Basically what the guy above me said. The only possible concern with using controller would be a miniscule amount of extra input delay depending on the controller and whether it's wired or not.

It essentially dictates who's turn it is to attack. So if someone has frame advantage, and they attack at the same time as someone who doesn't, the person with frame advantage will hit 1st.

When you counter guard break, you have a slight window to attack before the opponent. I believe this is a recent thing Ubisoft added. I am unsure if it applies to anything other than GBs.

I wouldnt say shes weak shes got more than most heros and there are a few other heros in the need of a rework bevore its her turn.

Love Nobu for the same reason. I hate playing any other hero because they just feel the same, other than a select few. Would love for Nobu to get some love, but man I don't want to see her get demolished because they made her more like the others.
