It's weird how so many are saying "you can see clearly the ball hit the ground after it hit the racquet" when it's not possible to see any of it in any of the videos posted, even playing the stuff at 0.25 speed. You would have to have higher frame rates to know what happened. All the video's I've seen show the ball hit the ground, then the racquet and the ball goes up and over the net.

In tennis is tje gentlemens sport. The focus should have been on the ump....but draper still f'ed it.

He didn't know and I can tell you as a professional myself that sometimes things happen so fast that you aren't sure what happened after the ball makes contact

@@waholoopesorry74 You have to wonder if any of these youtube experts have ever played tennis. You can't tell what happened for sure and the video doesn't even show that the ball hit the ground after he hit it. People are so full of BS.

@@jackcslewis2009 Completely agree. It's hard to tell on television and it's just as hard to tell for the player. I have had situations personally where I wasn't completely sure where the ball went after I made contact with it. And yes I have hit millions of tennis balls as well

Tennis definitely needs a video review rule to help in tough situations like this! Basically every other sport (except baseball lmao the umps suck) has proper replay and review systems. But they aren't without controversy either, but for example football isn't exactly comparable in this with how VAR is done. *All these technological advancements happening quite fast, but you can't fall too much behind or be too too slow.
