I checked out the new Model 3 in the Belfast (Ireland) showroom which opened up yesterday, and I have to say, back to back with the olde model 3, it’s a massive improvement in quality over all with more premium materials throughout the inside and outside. Now I’m just waiting for the Model Y juniper and hope it’s out in time for when my parents are getting a new car next year 🤞
You know you can get any discounted model ordered directly from tesla with less than 4k down payment and a total no more than 20 grand with a ref code.
Its simple: exit roundabout when steeringwheel is upside down, just hit lower button when turning to right😂 Blinker button to the turning side will be always "down" 🤷♂️😃🙋♂️
So does this mean we have to use the touch screen to change gears?!! Wow! I do love the minimalist look, but the two stalks on each side really didn’t change that look. I am sure it’s easy to adjust but not sure how I feel.
When your wheel is upsidedown it is difficult to spot the right place anyways. Haptic or not, I find myself struggling all the time. But it's supposed to be that way.
All those functions on the wheel remind me of a game controller. From that perspective, I guess it actually makes sense 🤔 But alas, people hate change.
My mom had a 2013 Ford Explorer with that capacitive touch crap all along the center stack. A lot of the controls were within the touchscreen too. I did think it was kind of cool at first but an absolute nightmare when it started freaking out right before we got rid of it. I am so glad that my car is all knobs, dials, and buttons.
@@mistah_nahamsha this is opportunities for a third party to build a custom panel kit with front gauge cluster stalks knobs switches gear shift levers heads up display AC controls volume tuning select knobs. A key lock real mechanical one so you cannot be locked out emergency hand break. And gas generator range extender. .because team a cheap cost cutting knows not limits
lol with the old horn button, I was at the airport with a loaner Tesla, there was a couple with 4 kids trying to manage them and their 2 carts of baggage as walking in front of me. I accidentally hit the horn button and all of them *literally* jumped and the mother accidentally pushed one of the bags off and her baby started crying 😭. I apologized profusely after
test drove it in germany. yes great improvement, but the no-stalk policy is a nightmare. this is made for the us market, not for europe where there is a ton of roundabouts! would’ve picked this if it had a normal steering wheel set up. otherwise really really great car now, the quality is amazing!
Removing the stalk is very dangerous. Fine at intersections, can do it before turning the wheel. What about roundabouts? The wheel won't be upright and it's going to be very common that people mess around finding the button, press the wrong one or don't bother at all. A strange decision. Why not add a button on the inside of the steering wheel where your hands rest for your thumb to press to turn them on? Still no stalk but more convenient
@@sultom8175 need to indicate while going round and also indicate to show where you're coming off. Bit difficult to do that on this car when the wheel is upside down
To be honest its not hard while playing on truckermp (Euro Truck Simulator 2 multiplayer mod) with a car, i just crashed a few time cause its a simulator with no taptic feedback (exept the wheel) but i got used to it having the button mapped like that and i don't have driving license and i never drove before
Day 2: All fun in games when u lock your iPhone, iPod mini, Apple Watch, HomePod,Tesla key card, Tesla key fob, google assistant, Tesla ring, Tesla bracelet, MacBook Pro, Your AirPods, lighting McQueen, Toilet paper and u can’t cal anyone.

@@SoosRamirez1 There's a thing called driver's education in Europe. Everyone obviously knows how to drive in them. They're safer because they promote lower speeds.
Let me save the Europeans some trouble complaining about roundabouts with no stalks. You’ll get used to it. You aren’t the buyer for one of these cars anyway if you’re complaining about something so small. Other manufacturers have also eliminated stalks too and guess what? Their owners are still alive.
I love Tesla, but I still think that’s a bad design choice! lol but hey, I bet people will adapt. I will most likely not get this one. I’m happy with my current Model 3 which I picked up 3 months ago haha
they removed stalks because we don't need them. the buttons work just fine and can make it cheaper which means more people can experience a tesla because price cuts. loos at all the discounts on the website most is possible due to stalk removals and other things.
thing is why they dont even light up the blinkers on the steeringwheel? why they dont put a ghost cluster on the wind shield, why they dontput a fcckn digital clister in front of the driver?! what is the fucking point on minimizing so much to 0 to make it so unpractical
The horn is in middle: "thank you Tesla" did this guy said thank you for the horn... some things should be mandatory for safe driving... it's not a matter of gratitude. We shouldn't learn ourselves to feel that way.
@@logitech4873 i know, but we reached to a point that we say thanks for simple things just because manufactures remove them for cost reasons. (like tha stalks). All the care is to reduce cost in expense of the consumer but Elon himself and the investors keep asking for more money from their company… sad..
@@josephjoestar515 the hell you mean I’m cappin… This interior is worse than most cars in this world.. heck a Toyota has a better interior. And also these buttons are horrible, you have to do almost everything on that screen which makes you unfocused on the road.
@@viper7466 The interior is fine. Everything you touch is nice at least and I find that the materials are much better than my XLE Camry. The buttons are a bit annoying, but you usually don't have to interact with them and the voice commands make it very easy to do everything. It's not really as big of a deal, as there isn't much you would be doing on screen while driving anyways. I know it's not for everyone, as physical buttons are a lot nicer, but it's disingenuous to say that the buttons are horrible.
@@josephjoestar515 alright now this is a much better response than to say that I’m “cappin”. I agree with few if the things you’ve said here, but I don’t agree that people don’t use the buttons much? Like the blinker for an example. I much prefer the stalk sticks as you have much more control and options on what you want to do and it’s alot simpler in my opinion. And voice command is just kinda quirky i’d rather just use physical buttons, and like using voice command with a passenger is kinda embarrassing or how do I say it 😅- hope you get what I mean.

Guy is amazed he can adjust wiper speed with a scroll wheel… yeah, my car from 15 years ago has that on the steering wheel stalk, i just scroll it up or down. What amazing technology huh?
what a stupid ass logic. next time someone does a car review they better not talk about the steering wheel or the tires of the car cause those been out for 100 years
