So THAT statement is hard to argue with…at the end of the day they should be better with cousins and/or hopefully Penix than the previous QB. People forget they were into the last three games of the season controlling their playoff destiny. Getting the job done for Kirk in his first year would be a wild card or round 1 playoff win.

I also tend to think that the plan was always to protect Bijan while they didn’t have a legitimate chance.

Biggest fumble of a top 10 pick is such a stretch lol we just saw Sam darnold, Josh Rosen, Daniel jones Trey lance, zach Wilson, Bryce young etc. go top 10. Drafting an edge in the top 10 doesn’t address pass rush lol ask the commanders if they would have rather have see their team pick Herbert or tua instead of chase young. Next, the guy on the right take on Bijan was good, the guy on the left wants to run Bijan into the ground and that’s just dumb. Look at what they did with zeke/todd gurley, first 2 years dominant, ever since he’s been a shell of himself instead of coming into his prime. Although Arthur smith wasn’t the best I think he was trying to transition Bijan into the nfl smoothly and let him develop into the guy that can carry into the full load instead of using him to the maximum in his first 2 years and watching him deteriorate before he is supposed to be in his prime. Fantasy football has ruined football media, if a guy doesn’t do well for their fantasy team he is no good. Kyle pitts had the 2nd most yards for a rookie TE ever with a washed Matt Ryan and no other viable receiving options. He is only 23 and younger than the TE’s drafted high last year (Kincaid & musgrave) kelce & kittle didn’t have good seasons until they were 25. Michael Penix just turned 24 not 25, he will be 26 when he plays. If he is good that doesn’t matter at all, burrow was 24 when he was drafted. All the qb’s (besides McCarthy) this year are a bit older due to Covid. You said the falcons should’ve drafted Justin fields instead of Kyle pitts??? At least say chase or waddle or Micah but a QB?? The falcons haven’t passed on a good qb yet. The Lamar Jackson thing is the stupidest thing yall said, Lamar was never available, the ravens implemented the non-exclusive franchise tag which means they would’ve matched any offer that was made for Lamar lol he wasn’t just available. If they would’ve made an offer for Lamar that money would’ve went into escrow and then wouldn’t have been available to use in free agency, they wouldn’t have gotten Jessie bates or any other FA they got that year.
