Ayyyyye, that first match was a body bag! Gen 4 introducing evolutions to older pokemon was some of the dankest shit ever. All of the evos were so tight.

Put some respect on this bug! He's been a favorite of mine ever since I realized they made an evolution for Yanma and it was actually good. It served me well in the DLC. Throat spray/bug buzz/tinted lens/tera bug made it one shot just about everything. I kind of made Kieran regret boxing his when it was my last mon left against him.

I’ve always loved Yanmega, I still contend that Yanma getting an evolution is the absolute biggest cross-generation buff. More than any megas or stat changes or exclusive items, it was such an OU viable mon in Gen 4 and still does its thing in later gens despite being kinda outclassed usually but it’s one of my favorite designs and has a great movepool for its stats and abilities.

I love using Yanmega! Instead of Protect, I use Detect. And for Fire/Flying coverage I use Ancient Power. I gave it the Heavy Duty Boots as a held item.

Been using Yanmega since gen 4. It once came in clutch and sweept when I was down 6-1, after I allowed the opponent's lead Bisharp to set up. Recently almost got a sweep with it in gen 9, but a damn Kingambit stopped me. Headcannon says it was the same Bisharp looking for revenge.
