Hey sister, this was a very nice video! It will truly help a lot of people. Also, as a Kenyan myself originally from Marsabit county and borana tribe, I have to say I thought you were Borana or ethiopian when I saw your face, until I read your bio. Our features are very similar. I would say maybe you are Kikuyu or Meru but it’s hard to tell 😅😅
Heeeey.Thank you for leaving this sweet comment. Your feedback is much appreciated, and I hope the video gets to those who need it. I'm a proud kikuyu. I do get this a lot. People telling me I'm from a different tribe than the one i come from. It's actually nice to hear where I could fit in 😂😂
@@YourGirlLizzy_14 no problem sister. It’s interesting because Kenya has a diverse history, many different groups migrated at different times and all mixed together to form tribes, such as Kikuyu, Meru, Taita, Luhya, Kalenjin, Maasai and others. And bcuz of your features it’s very likely you may have some Cushitic ancestry because Cushitic groups originally inhabited most of Kenya from thousands of years ago, until the Bantus came and assimilated most of them, and also adopted many cultural practices from them, like female circumsion and age sets from the Cushites. Even in Kikuyu oral traditions, it states they interacted with groups known as “ Agumba” and “Athi” who lived in mount kenya before them. It’s also known that there was a lot of interaction between Kikuyus with Maasai and Galla as well. Concepts like ngai ngai and the mugomo tree are also shared with Maasai and Galla too. I don’t mean to write too much, but I just wanted to share a little history lesson🤓 Much love sis
