Watching this video, there is nothing that I personally didn't fulfill as a former Army Paratrooper and Ranger. I completed jump school, pathfinder training, Recondo/Raider training, Jungle Expert training, Jumpmaster training, Freefall training, Demolition Training and Ranger training while State side. In the Republic of Viet Nam from 1968 - 1971, I completed LRRP training and 75th Ranger training and served as a LRRP from 1968 -1969 and as a 75th Ranger from late 1969 through September of 1971. That was over 50 plus years ago and remains part of who I am today at age 77. Cheers,

When one does an 'Australian Crawl' (i.e., inverted abseil) one of the first things you concern yourself with is the 'tag' end (the end that goes out of the carabiner and falls down to the belay/ground. ). Primarily, this allows you -- the 'assaulter' to not show up with what should fairly well be a train-horn and megaphone arrangement -- disclosing that: YES! You ARE going to rappel in and 'We are here, here we come!' There is a method where you don't immediately invert the bottom end of the belay and thus 'lock up' the rope in the braking rig. Rather, you keep the rope out of sight and with you -- thus not hinting ANYTHING to anyone when you make the assault. As well, as explained to me, the 'Australian Crawl' was a technique used by (first?) Australian Soldiers in WWII to assault Japanese force on sheer or very steep rock faces/cliffs. Without disclosing yourself, you could go over the edge, from the top-down, either spray bullets, gas etc., or throw in grenades and/or demolitions at cave face openings. One of the ways that it was known that you 'didn't announce' things -- by keeping the extra tag-end of rope one or about your person, was to find out that a 300 foot cliff face, and you are at about 200 feet (or so -- doesn't really matter in this instance), your tag-end falls down and the enemy just simply cuts it. You HAVE to stay out there EXPOSED on the cliff face because if you try to scramble down farther on down the line, the rope pulls through and you take a LITERAL header -- about almost guaranteed to die, BTW. You *might* be able to use various abseiling rescue techniques that might get you down to the ground -- SAFELY, but when you are having to avoid being shot by a Type 99 weapon, that kind narrows down time (and the like).

A lot of the training most of these units go through is impressive but one thing that the U.S., Colombian, and a few other units have is real-time consistent experience. So you can lay on a bed of nails and have concrete broken over your body. When was the last time you’ve been in combat?
@marcromain64
@marcromain64 7 месяцев назад
A valid point. My last (and second) combat involvement was over 15 years ago in Afghanistan. None of the opponents carried a bed of nails with them. I've crouched over and through anything imaginable, but nothing resembled a bed of nails. I've mastered nearly every training course/exercise you can think of, but have never lain on a bed of nails. Keep in mind most of the these clips and pictures are basically advertisement, to show off with troop performance for your own people, other countries and especially potential recruits. They present what you can achieve and endure with the right training, but it's _not_ training itself. It depicts a possible outcome in a entertaining, publicly effective and maybe stimulating (or daunting) manner.

All of that ridiculous showing off by Korean SF breaking boards and concrete doesn't necessarily mean ultimate stamina and longevity toughness , nor does it make them bullet proof ! The US Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets based their recruitment and their training originally on the British SAS , and more recently the Australian SASR (Special Air Service Regiment) as the Australian SASR training regime involves the totality of ground , mountain and maritime special ops as Australia has no Marine corps. The selection process starts with a general special forces selection course which candidates then move on to either selection processes for 2nd Commando Reg. , Special Operations Engineers Reg. or the the top tier SASR .

(눈‸■)Especially when it comes down to which one you're facing, and I'm not just talking about the USMC AKA the United States Marine Corps., despite the fact that they have A Lot of damage, all the same I wouldn't wanna be facing any of these guys, I once knew a guy who went through rehabilitation, and when a doctor kept increasing the pressure going further up, the man who had rehabilitation by doctor's orders, he swiftly to around to make eye contact with the doctor said that he was in, however the other said that he wasn't at all surprised, or impressed then went even further telling him that should the doctor ever touch him again, his wife and children would be in great danger, but that wasn't all, oh no, no, no, no, no, no, you see from what I've heard the former Marine said that the doctor with an obvious case of selective hearing would be next.🚨
