We have seen this sort of stuff. It’s not a real fighting technique and gets destroyed by real fighters

There are several fight of a retired shaolin warrior with Muay Thai master, you can search it on youtube or google. They managed to show their incredible strength and durability that even surpassed the master of Muay Thai and literally being an unbreakable statue on the fight. But they have a lower speed and Muay Thai fighters themtself is also tanky, so in most fight Muay Thai would win in success hit amount or point (which may help them win against shaolin), but never in knockout or fatal hit.

Martial arts is an art, not a competition. Kung-fu teaches nonviolence, and to walk away from fights when possible. Same with other East Asian martial arts. These monks spend most of their time memorizing scripture and practicing their religion. Physical discipline is just a part of it. They might not be able to beat an MMA fighter in a modern fight or against weapons, but they will be far better than the average person.

Their rules did include not to fight people because its part of the religion belief, so if you really pissed one off he not just break the rules but also possibly will send that guy to ICU. However such scenario is rare to happen since they are trained in both physical strength and mental fortitude, so they can tolerate pretty much anything.

@@The_DGO Not real fighting technique? You must be demented, or worse, American. There are stupid limits in these idiotic fights. They can´t fight in UFC or MMA, because there are rules. If it would be, literally, mortal kombat, without rules and there would be only one goal and that would be death of oponent, you would see how fast this fight would end. For them its not problem. You´ve never faught Shaolin master. You will never see them. Same it is with Aikido. Remove rules and you will see how real Aikido is. There is only one purpose. Krypling your oponent as fast as possible to end fight as fast as you can. You will never see these people what are ACTUAL masters of their martial art, because they don´t want to be limited. Remove rules and these people would mop the floor with any fighter. If yyou´re not another illiterate American and you were able to read whole post, good for you and you deserve candy for such a spectacular, for you for sure, deed.

@@AlinaGimerleih we will never know because they will never fight. They are pretty much gymnasts nowadays. A lot of cool tricks but clearly majority of it is useless against fully trained fighters. They might be able to take a really good beating though if they actually have a high pain tolerance

they also spars and with that solid foundation in conditioning, even a regular punch can kill. There was an old news I remember about a retired monk who went to live in US and accidently killed a car jacker with his fists.
