Camping in the rain is a experience everyone needs, the noise and feelings are great. And when you get back home to bricks and mortar and everything you rely on without even thinking about it you appreciate it more. We couldn’t wait to do it again because a holiday is about doing different things from the normal. And because of this it makes great memories , especially seeing kids running free and using there imaginations in more human freindly places.👍😃

Just badly prepared, wrong clothing, wrong type of air bed. It's like going to the Bahamas with just jeans, jumpers and rain coats. Still the video achieved the 'click bait' intention which I presume you were after 😂

Camping with a duvet, fruit shoots and hair bobbles. This went about as well as expected.

You had it cushty, the hard part putting up the tent was done for you. Try it again for your kids but be better prepared, take some warmer clothes, extra blankets.....do it for the kiddys....it doesn't rain all the time, make some lovely family memories.😀

It can rain way harder and for longer in other countries. Any experience, camping, boating, walking etc will be unpleasant if you are badly prepared. If you left the air mattress where you showed it in the boot and lobbed all the gear on top then no wonder it leaked.

Camping in rain is great. Maybe embrace it instead of complaining.

I have the exact same tent as you and I have been camping 2 times in the UK, just wait in the tent when it rains, otherwise, just run around and don’t be miserable!

first time camping is always a curve ball, i remember our first camp 7 yrs ago , went on a whim at beginning of may to the peak district daily temp was 21c n sunny , we took a cheap tent 10 quid sleeping bags n a airbed , didnt even think to pack a coat , just had t shirt on. in the eve the temp plummeted and we woke to a frost ! well i say woke think we managed about 3 hours sleep allnight. your camp was no nightmare it just didnt go as well has you expected. tent looks like a huge paper bag im not tryin insult but that wont handle a storm , keep the tent to minimum size you need. less is more invest in good equipment. good luck.

Nice vid our boy's are in there 30's and often talk about our camping trips in the UK be it wet, windy or baking hot. Give them a stick or pile of leaves or a ball and they play all day. keep the vid's coming

For a first time camp you guys did pretty well! I love camping, rain or shine but I’ve been doing it a long time so have gear that makes it more enjoyable. You learn as you go. Hope you do get out again with the girls. They always have a great time. 😊

Il behonest and find camping better when its raining. Cozy sleeping bag and listening to the rain is amazing.

You have to go camping again, you had a bad experience that time. We have had good weather while we was camping but may this year in the lakes myself and son set up the tent in a down pour, rained the whole time tent leaked just slightly after proofing recently. Even had to move the car to hard ground to load the gear into as the field was so saturated. Like yourselves we sucked it up and made the most of it. 1. The tent is to keep you dry not warm 2. Before you go again spend more time in the elements, walk to the shop, have walks in the rain and when it’s cold. Condition your body for the outside prior to going. Your going to be outside for 24 hours a day over your duration 👍🏻

Camping I have found its being back to nature. No heating hot water or Technology. As the older we get the less we do. So got a motorhome instead. Cheers from old George and Jane in Corby....Ps camping is tough especially with small children. Glad you tried it. 👫👍🤠🇬🇧
