Did you know if you don't use your sink/drain for a long time, your p-trap can evaporate and let the smell back into the room? Don't forget to fill up your p-traps occasionally people!

Depends where you live in the world the au/nz building standards require a “breather pipe” to be installed, always venting fumes out above the roof line I guess if it ever does evaporate then it won’t be much of an issue

@@RyanYoxo Having recently dealt with sewer gas in my basement, I can assure you that my vent pipe up through the roof is not a substitute for keeping traps filled. I recommend looking up what plumbing vent pipes are for - it's mostly to let water drain faster and without gurgling.

Thank you for spreading the word about this @T-Dub! It's not just a "smell" that is let in - it's hydrogen sulfide gas which is flammable, explosive, and a health hazard if exposed enough

Goldfish will not stop growing. Most fishes are in fact what are known as indeterminate growers. This means that, unlike humans, they grow until they die. And Goldfish are actually some of the longest-lived fishes you can purchase. They are capable for living several decades under the right conditions, and the supposed record is 49 years of age. And by the way, all Goldfish are omnivores ;-)

Fun fact: Gold fish get bigger the more they eat and they adapt to their environment, they can the biggest gold fish ever found reached the weight of 64 pounds aka 30 kg, they can get this huge because they eat everything in their path they’re also kind of always hungry.

oh, the title reminded me of a silly story in a book called "the unpublished Seuss". in THAT story, a kid fed his goldfish too much of some fancy food, and it got SO big it filled up the entire basement of the house! so the kid called the guy who sold him the food, and he SOMEHOW turned the fish back to normal. "it was a lot of hard work, boy, but THIS time it's free. if it happens again i will charge a big fee."

Additional drainage lesson: traps are used on HVAC systems (air handler specifically and not a furnace) because the coil where the water drains from is in negative pressure. So the trap prevents air from being sucked up the drain line, allowing the unit to drain while the blower is running.

Ok so funny story. Long story short I was talking with my step son and step kids and basically someone left the detail opened and out the other day so I said none of them can have any. The reason being and I asked each one of them if they did it and they all said no. So I told them if they find out who did it to walk behind them and say “Shame..Shame..Shame..” “oh and call them an architect “ the boy then says oh that must be a bad word and my girlfriend starts saying “no it’s not” and I yell back leaving the room that’s right it is a bad word 😂💀
