Its not that surprising actually, when you consider the number of armies hundreds of years ago that went to war without supply trains or Logistical support from the rear. Rather, they lived off of the land and just took what they needed from the territories that they were invading instead.

I have seen a few other "village building" isekai in the past, and this is by far THE BEST out of all of them. Finally glad to see someone do it right for a change and not lose their way of what made their story unique to begin with. I'm most surprised that Gandma's skill wasn't a one off gag. Given how magical the facilities seem to be, it makes me wonder what would happen if he built any medical ones? 🤔

Reminds me of how the spell Fabricate in D&D can be used in a similar way, by using it create a fragile mold holding solid weapons and tools that a village could easily snap off and arm themselves with. Oh! But I especially loved seeing what it looks like when Builder Mode is used offensively. Sliding walls into each other, literally dropping buildings on the locations of targets, all good stuff.

them " you have Village Building." Me "a Fortress is a Village. a Castle is a part of a Village" he is literally the best way to protect the people of their kingdom. send them to every town with 30 days to fortify any town and he can build it into a great Fortified City. he can even move building around and upgrade them. upgrade a buliing to max then ram it into anyone or anything who is trying to attack them. 10 tons moving at 200 miles an hour is just death with extra steps. downside, he can't move it up or down so flying... but rockets and catapults and so on. "hey no peeking" Granny "it's the rehab center for you, sonny" also Granny "if he tell you to work, you work,. if he tells you to die, you die, got it?!" *Granny rules with Titanium and Platinum Fists*

Exactly, his skill is more of a roundabout way to aid in the front lines. Clearly none of these people learned the term "Logistics" which is the backbone of all warfare, his skill is basically the ultimate logistics, he could set up full cities at the front line. Heck, a city that is conquered he could bring in line. Now he's building a fortified city out where nobody is bothering to look. By the time they notice, it'll be too late.

@@SkyEcho751 there is nothing roundabout about it. it is straight forward the best. think about it. even a team of well train warriors would not be able to break into a town that is fortified to the point there is no weak points. it is like 300 story. how can 300 hold off 3,000 or even 30,000? Fortification and a narrow way for them to get to them.

They probably would've kept him around if they knew about it, but they didn't and once they saw the 'village' part. They just assumed it was some low ranked commoner skill. He the Skill owner didn't know about it until after he was exiled. They should've at least tested his ability to understand it before making that choice though.

The one part that everyone is missing here, is that, in order for his "Village Building" skill to work, HE HAS TO BE RECOGNIZED AS THE POSSESSOR OF THAT TERRITORY! Otherwise, its a No-Go! That's why his skill didn't activate in the land that was dominated and possessed by his father. He didn't own it, but rather, his father did. Where he is now, Luke owns the territory that the village is constructed upon.

I really like what this channel has grown into lately. They bring in their own animations (more so in „epic“ mangas, it really deepens the immersion), add nice atmospheric music, have a calm voice and seem to listen to criticism in the comments, like how people mentioned that a bit less side comments would be preferable. The recaps just keep getting better and they really deserve the success, with how much more work they put into it than other recap channels. I wish you guys the best going further into the future!

In older times, drinks like beer and ale were potentially safer than drinking water. So it wouldn't be overly uncommon in some places for children to drink it as well. The filtering and boiling is what makes it safer. Alternatively, Luke might have just been handing the mug to someone else. Or... maybe he was drinking water or milk and honey.

This is a manga not a manhwa, comics that come out of Japan are manga (the Japanese word for comics) while comics the come out of South Korea are called manhwa (the Korean word for comics).

I'm rather tired of cultures that think skill in battle is the same thing as skill in leadership. A great leader *picks* excellent warriors, but also excellent farmers, excellent crafters, excellent fellow ministers, et cetera. Leading a community personally in battle does nothing to actually lead that community in times outside of battle, which in most cases is the majority of one's time in life. These idiots deserved to lose that son.

having free control over all manmade things in a large space is so fucking overpowered, this little dude can just summon stone walls around anyone, or instantly impale them with an iron bar/sharpened log. moreover, he can freely move anything? can't he just make some large ass metal rods that he can move around at the speed of sound? like fucking slam it into anything he wants?

Idk about the bandits tho… it‘s just too convenient. They were ALL involved in the killing and all the villagers had pretty much nothing prior, but still didn‘t resort to slave trading and murder. The people that left the village must be devastated and are basically wandering into their own grave by leaving. Just for like 5-10 more people in manpower to a village with a ~170 population, minus the ones that left. By far the stupidest decision in the manga. He basically murdered/traumatized his villagers for the sake of the bandits. If the manga has to keep a child-safe theme of „bu- but I can’t kill anyone“, then don‘t include bandits that kill and abduct people for slave trading and propose letting them wander around the village to remind the people whose families have been murdered, that the murderers are frolicking as their neighbors, living their best life… at least keep them locked up

Yup, I thought it was stupid. The thieves don't even get a prison sentence or for a child safe theme, a sentence to work for a period of years without pay. They just get rehabilitated, brainwashed and voila! And forget child safe mood, the simping females with weird perving for MC are far from child friendly

Yay, another isekai'd Mary Sue with another thinly veiled Oedipus-complex love interest. Can't have a story set in medieval times without video game logic, child marriage, and torture that somehow actually works. Biggest twist with this one is that the protagonist doesn't even remember his former world, so he gets all the technology (without the infrastructure to make it work) without needing to give him a tragic "rejected orphan" past or any of the hang-ups that come with it.

This is one of my favorite city-building isekai fantasy mangas😂 I like city-building PC games. The story is a bit generic but the art is really good (especially the facial expressions on the characters 😂 Jojo Meme levels!) I also like the characters too, especially the side ones like pervy maid, torturer granma, and the ex-cons😂

Ah yes. The classic 'you don't have a skill those use is immediately apparent, away with you. I shall favor this other one with the more clearly defined skill. There's no way you're skill that I deem useless will ever prove to be infinitely more vauable than swinging a sword real good.' Campfire cooking. Isekai walking. Translation skill will change the world.....The last one is not an isekai but they really need to stop dismissing the protagonist just because their cheat skill isn't 'super mega ultra holy supreme ancient divine magic sword attack'.

I'm sorry I'm just not getting this. So they exile him for having the ability to summon whatever building he wants which would be perfect for someone meant to rule over nation? Like having the king be expert swordsman is pointless, kings don't typically enter the front lines they are to important... are they all High or something?

They exile him because they don't KNOW what his ability means at all, and they mostly value combat powers. Better, he had been the stated heir for most of his life, since he doesn't have a combat power, that means it goes to his brother instead, but since he WAS the heir for so long, they have to get rid of him in order to prevent any kind of succession crisis.

I get your point that they dont know what his ability is. It's really the part where they're society only values a good leader by their combat prowess? In the real world I dont care how well the president or prime minister fights I'll leave that up for the army. I get i'm looking way to much into this but it still really bugs me. @@SageofStars

@@WelshGhost1337 To be fair, we SEE how much combat powers matter right from the get go with the 'Princess' coming to stay in the village shortly after they arrive. Her father's knights actually refuse to try and stop her, despite likely being punished for it, because she has a combat gift and they don't. Later on, she beats men several times her size and experience in combat, mostly based off her gift, and even more, she hunts and kills monsters on a regular basis with such strength that everyone in the village, from veterans to civilians, are impressed with her. They have good reason to see combat related gifts as being the tops, and had he been the second son, I doubt he'd have been exiled in this one, instead being shuffled around until they discovered his power. It's only because of that whole heir issue that they had to get rid of him post-haste. After all, even after only a few meetings, a girl raised to be a bargaining chip for her family left for him rather than marrying his replacement, how many knights and citizens feel the same way, but can't act simply because they're not in a position to?
