Thanls Ivy for this interview. Long time coming . So many Jamaicans living in Ghana. Great to see my Hosts Naomi and Neville Buchanan. They are doing such a great job educating us. Stayed with them twice , it was fantastic. Got to meet and listen some Jamaicans who were part of the Marcus Garveyr movement. Blessed Love🇯🇲
It’s so true that our people from 🇯🇲and 🇬🇭have the same roots and realities in terms of our poem Anansi, foods such as kenkey, yams, plantains, jollof and awachie.

One love mama Africa when I watch some Ghanaian movies and videos of the people over there I see people looking like me and many others Jamaican and African people in the diaspor
18 Years and the roads are still the same. Ivy I mentioned before the roads are our biggest issues with Ghana. But with all that, the Pros far out way the Cons. Great interview - thanks for sharing.
Greetings Ivy Prosper, IU am loving part II of this interview, I think that the difficult of getting money in and out of Africa is by design to keep Africa at a disadvantage in my option. I agree that the roads in Ghana so,so,so,so, so bad as the Queen stated. Thanks for sharing.
Honest truthful experience in Ghana. A word to our leaders politicians please listen to these two couples. Fix our electrical and road issue. It has been terrible for years the so called"dumso" Ghana we have everything and some but due to corruption nepotism we cannot solve basic issues that affects the ordinary people and yet they vote for you the leaders. Please fix our basic problems.
It is full time for Ghana to get its. act together. What is Ghana doing to address water problem, road problem, service issues in government departments? Is there any concerted effort to address the problems mentioned by the couple? I do not expect Ghana to be perfect because it is still developing, but it needs to be serious about development. Fix the problems one at a time, not all.
Government is trying to digitize all offices and make it smooth for everyone. The president has declared this year as “the year of roads” as well so we live to see.
Great interview and Mama is serious about the roads! One other thing is why must it be so difficult to take care of business. When you fill paperwork it should be one time and not many times. Having an easy experience should not be a treat.
Bang on!! The Anansi reverse psychology!! 🤦🏾♀️😂Hey!! This is the typical Ghanaian tactics -bokoo bokoo. ( slowly, slowly catching fishes!!🤣)In twi, we say their behaviour is like the patience of a dog, when it wants the bone! N once it's had it, it either dashes off or if you mistakenly step on its tail it bites you!!🤣🤣🤣. I have to be v smart & eyes peeled, whenever I visit home. In fact, the more ppl preach to me, the more suspicious I get!! The lingo is so interspersed with biblical connotations, you'd think everyone is perfect & holy! Yet, won't swap for any other country.🤞🏾 V engaging interview with a beautiful couple. Thanks for this session, Ivy, as usual, it's a v professional, educational & interesting, topical subject 👌🏾👌🏾
Yes I know GHANA has those problems and that is why I choose Kenya over GHANA I payed down on my condo in Kenya. GHANA have to move away from those old Colonizers behaviour free up the business permits East Africa giving GHANA and the rest of the west Africa run for their money.. BUT DONT GET ME WRONG I LOVE GHANA TO MY HEART AND I WOULD ENCOURAGE JAMAICANS AND THE CARIBBEAN PEOPLE GHANA KENYA MALAWI RWANDA MY FAVOURITES.....
@@IvyProsper Maybe if you considered the population of Nigeria citizens using electricity with the rest of other African countries you can relax a little bit on the country Nigeria. Also remember that we are not using nuclear energy to produce our electricity. Russia is building a nuclear power plant for Egypt and l don’t think the race that rule the world (the United States) will allow such a plant to be built for any black nation except for South Africa which l believe have its own nuclear power plant. Google on the cheapest and clean energy source and see what you find out.
@@alfapaul5593 I don't understand why you're telling me to "relax" . I am simply giving you information based on what I was told by others who have visited or lived in Nigeria
@@IvyProsper Sorry I don’t mean bad and I take that word back. By the way I am a Nigerian and I know all pain and suffering associated with lack of electricity. Hope you do some research about nuclear power plants which is what we need in Nigeria.
People of African descent do not need citizenship to live in Ghana permanently. The Right of Abode allows for all people of African descent to live im Ghana indefinitely. But not having citizenship limits the things they are able to do like voting and starting a business is more complicated.
@@lucygreen6305 The Caribbean is absolutely Beautiful No Dought. I was a pilot for Caribbean Sun. Africa is Positively Beautiful, so Lets enjoy the best of both world's ☺
As a Ghanaian, it is annoying when you Jamaicans talk like every thing in Jamaica is so developed which is not. Not every road in Jamaica is developed so chill out
