I loved this video 📹, im a retired US army sergeant who African American. Im returning home to the mother land this year. Im currently in Jamaica but in June this year im coming home.
@@nasto4u850 my brother, what is your mission? I have been seeing your comments always trying to link up with the people from the diaspora. I hope you don't have bad intentions.
I traveled to Ghana alone this past January. Initially it was very overwhelming. So many people, the traffic, the driving, sights and sounds. But the people were amazing. Kind and helpful. Before I knew it, I didn't want to leave. I'm planning to go back with family in November of this year. I met some amazing people. New family
@@IvyProsper Yes. It was amazing. It was not only my 1st solo trip, it was my 1st international trip out of the US. I experienced a lot of firsts on that trip. Excited about returning.
I'm glad to here your solo trip went well. I am very interested in relocating to Ghana. I was a little reluctant being single. My fiancé passed away suddenly last April 2020. As you can image I want to start a new life and I would like for it to be Ghana. I'm familiar with Africa. I used to attend a Ghanaian church in the U.S. whose headquarters are in Accra. I've also been to Kenya and South Africa. I'm ready...
@@IvyProsper Thank you for your response. It's something you have to take it a day at a time. That's why I want a completely NEW life in completely NEW place. I feel really good about Ghana. Coming to visit in July. Hoping to find a place. Again, thank you...
Great interview! Thanks for sharing. My husband and I are new to Ghana (5days) as well. We are Texas native, but certainly GLAD to be 'Home'!! Medáse #AfrikaIsHome #Alkebulon
This interview just shows how RU-vid can be a force for good. Woke Maya influenced this couple to visit Ghana and they have contributed to the economy by spending their dollars in the local businesses. Ivy you deserve much more subscribers , I love especially that you like to cover the art scene in Ghana. Loved the photography exhibition that you've done, it was just amazing. ❤️🇧🇷
A CITATION TO OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS FROM THE DIASPORA Ghana is your home, Ghana is your restful place, come home, we love you all, come home Brothers and Sisters who were stolen from us to build "the western world", come home, your sweat and blood was used to build the western world, come home, our Ancestors Blood, Sweat, toil and lives were used to build the Western world, come home, our Ancestors energies and lives were illegally used to build the western world and they don't want to enjoy the benefits derived from our Ancestors toil and blood with us, come home. You have a place in our Motherland GHANA, come home. Your Ancestors places are still empty, come home. GHANA is your restful place, come home, come home, come home. We love you all come home....!!!!!!
Hi, Sister Ivy Am not surprised that millions upon millions of our African families from diaspora are now coming back home. There are some who refuse to have links with Africa, but there are others who are coming home to Africa to even settle. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful . Brother Stevie Wonder has now even decided to move to Ghana. I wish him so well. Respect to our two brother and sister couples in Ghana and I hope to encourage more of our African families globally to come home.
Beyond the return is the best thing that the government of Ghana 🇬🇭 has promised all diasporas to come home at least to visit their ancestral 🏡 home.????This is a major asset for the country and also psychology involved to open the eyes 👀 of all diasporas wishing to feel the warmth of their heritage.???!
Such a loving and well spoken couple. There sincerity, beauty and warmth is by far the best I have seen of any that have returned. Also to the couple, the consideration- you have for one another.⚘ is precious. Thank you for sharing yourself with us today. 💕💐💕
Their love for each other was so amazing. There was so much off camera that showed how deep their love is. We need to see more images like them to showcase #BlackLove
“The ability to just walk and get lost in the crowd”.. that’s a profound experience that people living in their own homelands take for granted. It’s a great feeling to experience for the first time.
An IT school will be great. Impacting your knowledge on the next generation of Africans is great. Thank you. By the way, you both look so Ghanaian. 🤗😘😊
what does that mean? isnt she black? Doesnt the guy look African too? What is the Ghanaian look? She looks like a S/African, Kenyan, S/Leonean etc. They are AFRICAN-American!.
I am saving my money so I can go there and stay in Africa. Hoping to be ready and out of here before 2024 and live there peacefully and happy. I am Praying...
Teach....yes❗I second your wife. You're welcome to come teach in Ghana, we love you already and we will be looking forward to that ☺You are welcome to 🇬🇭 Ghana, and to you Ivy well done. 👌🏾 😍
Very nice bit of video journalism. You picked a thoughtful couple who are good subjects. They communicate well and you let them take their time to share their thoughts and feelings. Good work!
Tali!! I was looking for your RU-vid channel to subscribe! I am so happy to have met you and We will definitely be looking out for new videos from you! Both of us enjoyed your company that day! Great Meeting you!
These are friends of mine 😊 so proud of them for making this trip back home and inspired to do the same in the near future. The authenticity that you guys see on camera is exactly what exists off camera.
Girl I am in tears. There is a connection so strong in me that I cannot explain. A longing and belonging that is beyond words. Thanks to you and this lovely couple who articulated so well what it is to come home I suppose I am the chosen of all my descent to make the journey. I have been checking out the tickets and assessing the journey and this is one of the most expensive trips on the world itinerary. It really eats into the other prospects of investing or relocation. I , for one, think the renaissance will be a reality when Ghana, especially, begin sending their own airlines to America like in the Caribbean. In my opinion this is the biggest hiccup about coming to West Africa. I understand Prez Addo has already embarked upon a venture with Egypt for this very cause. Blessings.
It really is but when you are able to make it you will Be Soo Proud. Am working a part time job in addition to my full time work to save for a of 5 family GH 2022 or 2023 Travels. God willing 🙏🏾
Yes, that's exactly what I've been posting on my FB page. The beauty of Africa that the USA doesn't televise. They still lead Americans to believe it's all jungle, poverty, tribes and wildlife. Yes, there's war and guns, but it here in the US also.
Super humble interview Ivy, job well done. Danielle and I are about to release our Cape Coast experience today, we know their feeling. Keep up the great work!
I'm coming soon, the minute i saw Ghana, was often told about Africa since been a child, but WODE MAYA took me on the journey online, but cant wait to come in flesh,i reside in Ft Lauderdale,FL
@@nasto4u850 After this Covid, because my Mom wants to come too, going to make it a group trip, one of my Son took the trip before,so he's anxious to see his old collage friends, they live in Accra.
Greetings Florida folk. I visited in November and look forward to returning. Having a native guide made a big difference in the enjoyment and thoroughness of getting to know the different regions. Be well.
You are so correct when you say having a local guide makes a difference. We stayed in a resort hotel that did not allow outside food; however, we wanted to partake in the culture and food is part of that so with the help of Charles Jr. we were able to experience Ghana and the surrounding area through the lens of a local. We credit Charles for this experience and if anyone would like the local lens hit me for his contact information!!
Absolutely I'm gonna go visit gonna first I'm I'm Memphis now everyone says god moring hello the hospitality is the same the media have a lot of negative depiction's of memphis it's propaganda so business won't come I'm from California I know I'm going to love Ghana , Nigeria, Tanzania . I'm so looking forward to my journey thanks for sharing nice meeting you 🗣🙏🙌👋👐👍👌💚💚
The journey was stressful at some points but it was the people that calmed and made us very relaxed. I can not stress enough the importance of going home to Ghana.
South Florida represent!!! Great video, we need to hear these kinds of testimonials from others like us to make Africa sound just like any other place. Although it is not just any other place, it is home.
She truly does look Ashanti as that’s the first thing I thought when I saw her. I’m actually getting a vibe that both of these individuals have ancestry tracing back to Ghana.
You saw that too? And he can easily pass for a Fante. I just love Americans and I really love it when African Americans come to Ghana and experience that liberating feeling even if just once.
Greetings - I luv Ghana also...I have visited twice already and have some contacts. I am also in the south florida area as Jonathan and Shavonne Bevans - I would like to connect with this couple off-line about repatriation - a repatriation community of sorts.... let me know how we can connect.
Ife, my wife wanted to reach out to you but when we tried to private message you we could not. We are interested in chatting with you, soon. Please let us know how to get in touch with you.
