No its actually running rich, hear the bog in the top end were its breaking up? That happens when there is too much fuel and its not all getting burned. But you are right his clutch is slipping hard.
@@carsonmiller9658sounds to me like breaking up due to a lean condition, rich sounds much more like boggy cladder either, way it is possible two be lean down low and rich up top and vise versa, video makes it hard to tell. Cheers
@@265ice5 your literally dumb, for $250 you wouldn’t ride that. You selfish rich bitch need to back to your mommy and ask for advice on how to get a life.
It's not the clutch, It's the transmission oil he uses, i got one and mine does not like to shift with the pro Honda oil. Use the Maxima transmission oil and it solves it.
Im not to battle here I’m going by sound and fact and kxs are known for this under hard load he was juicing it and would not go to a higher gear it’s truth
My Dad bought me a second hand air cooled KX 80 in about 1985 in the UK, it looked a bit tatty towards the end but man that power band kicking in was a real rush for an 11 year old let me tell you. Happy days indeed. Ps not even sure if our bikes were designed the same but the clutch plates needed replacing on mine too.
I saw this and knew what it was because of what my bike does, i used that pro honda oil and KX80's DO NOT LIKE THAT. it does it for mine and they do not want to shift with them so i use Maxima 2 stroke transmission oil and it works great with the Yamalube 2R engine oil.
You make really good videos, but you kill me when you work those bikes and they are so dirty. Pressure wash them before you take them apart, and if it is already apart, clean it before you put it back together!
Took a while to weld this bike up (JB weld) 😂😂 Btw everyone is on about how it sounds like it wasn't shifting? Of course it fucking was, yeah the clutch was slipping but even with a good clutch that's how them little 2 strokes sound, especially on even ground... smh
It’s pretty irritating when you don’t admit there’s a problem with a bike, it’s clearly in need of a clutch or it’s not changing up...it’s not “minty” or “fast” it needs sorting. It’s like you know it’s riding like shit but just go along with it and cbf to fix it 😐

I'm curious why you didn't scrub that clutch cover while you had it off of the bike. It looked as though the dirt from the outside could've found it's way inside as you were re assembling it. It's much easier to clean when it's off the engine. One other thing...I'd get that broken piece welded before it falls off. That piece really needs to be bolted in place. It won't be expensive to have it welded, but will be if the piece falls off and can not be found. You might suggest the next owner get's it welded before riding.
I've been subscribed for a while and I'm not trying to be mean, I was just asking because you usually seem to be meticulous with your work and keep everything as clean as possible.
You should of used that yellow piece instead of the white one. The yellow one wasnt wore out like the white one. Its supposed to keep that big spring from moving around as much.
Not sure why some people put a fuel filter on a 2 stroke I know there good for 4 strokes but you could be messing with the amount of oil getting to the cylinder with the gas because of the filter
I got a little 84' ds80 for $340 Australian dollars equivalent to $230 american dollars, just all original parts apart from the plastics, tank and seat and is missing the kickstart
I have a 2001 kx 125, and it had a clutch problem, so I replaced the clutch disks and plates, pressure plate, springs, clutch basket, and clutch cable and it’s still slipping. Do you have any idea what it could be?
Its crazy how everybodys reading the comments and saying the same thing the last guy just said...1 person said the clutch is slipping now we have 100 people saying it who cares its fixable...i like the bike.
How many tubes of JB weld did it take? Anyone that buys any bike off you have never watched your vid's. Professional mechanic here, been fixing bikes since you were shitting yellow.
My kx 125 was the same couldn’t get past 2nd had to rip the low end apart scoring on the fork sounds exactly the same and shift wouldn’t go past second
