It's great that they took in criticism and tried to improve their products. I'm a die-hard AoT fan since its first release but that keycap design isn't it for me 😭 The mats and packaging look nice though.

@@aadrick3174 That's kinda normal. I believe there is an inventor that spent a multiple cars worth of money just to develop his new carabiner design. Multiple iterations, material experiments, prototypes, etc. In the end he made one or two million in profits or something.
Awesome to see the improvements. I met Nadeshot back when he was still a competing call of duty professional and he's a super nice, genuine guy who strives to put out the best that he can. He's not the type to put out an "enthusiast-grade" keyboard and not improve upon its shortcomings in subsequent releases. Next step I see is potentially south facing switches and lubed stabs.
You know what ? I like 100 thieves if they wanna do stuff like this... "We Improved based on your video about our last kb, here is the new one. Tell us again what is wrong and one day we will get there." All companies should do stuff like this.
It’s because the thinner the foam or material, the more high end sound is absorbed. The more thicker foam or material, the more low end sound is absorbed and high end is reflected.
Any keyboard with a price range between 130-170 USD right now reminds me of the QK65 and Zoom65. I believe this Attack on Titan keyboard needs to be priced below 100 USD to compete with those two.
it's not going to be that cheap with just the ttc heart switching already being expensive on their own and it was a limited time drop that's already over. it's not worth it resale price (on ebay it's going from$160-250+) unless you really like attack on titan/100 thieves. And at that price you could get a qk65/zoom65 if you were interested in something more enthusiast oriented
The thing to note here is that this is not marketed towards enthusiasts. It's. Marketed for the general public while improving shortcomings that were highlighted by keyboard enthusiasts. People that will buy this board won't know about the QK65 or Zoom65. They won't care either.
The difference between those two is that the QK65 isn’t coming with key caps, stabs, and switches. You’ll be spending a lot more. You’ve also got to take into consideration that the keyboard hobby is a very niche hobby and building keyboards is even more of a niche.
That’s because the silicone weight decreases the space between the key press sounds and a surface, while without it the space is lengthened, producing a deeper, lower sound. Much like the concept of organ pipes.
I'll let people enjoy what they want but what I can't accept is some gaming content creators, branded this "budget keyboard", when it's not. I understand the hustle, whatever pays the rent, but please consider this advice, those people who watches their fav streamers endorsing "hype" keyboards like these and wants to get their first keyboard, before you lock in your money, do research first. Now I ain't stopping you to buy this but all I am asking is that you consider the money you're letting out vs the product you'll get. If you're just in for the official merch and novelty, by all means, but if you are just starting in the keyboard scene and wants to hop in, before you flip out your moolahs, DO A RESEARCH FIRST, you won't regret doing this.
I like how they actually listened to feedback and send you the new one, asking for your honest opinion, but I wont be replacing my Mojo68 Plastic with this.
$30-40 for the HYSSP, $10.49x7 for the key switches (10 per pack at 10.49), the keycap set was $60 when in stock. All in all, for the money, with the silicone inserts it is not bad value for money. Could you do it yourself with non-AOT branded caps for cheaper? sure, but the I guess the "value" comes from the silicone inserts and the better build quality. I am actually interested in trying to find one of these second hand, as I have outgrown my "clicky" keyboard phase and want a more thoccy experience, and for 165 that isnt a bad option
actually it just means the company that owns the Attack on Titan IP gets to eat(which i'm sure they're already full from the Netflix license). The artists, animators, writers, etc would probably not have their wages changed much from this keyboard license.
They should have gone with foam instead of silicon. Foam takes aways the higher pitched nioses without muting it. But overall great improvements. And if you just buy the keycaps I think it's actually a good deal if you are a fan of the show or the brand.
It looks ok. I personally think that they could have oicked better titans than the ones that thye did. I would have liked to seen the attack titan or the jaw titan, but overall the keyboard looks really nice.
i know this a year later but i got my a few months ago on tiktok for 85 bucks. worth every penny imo. Much better than the "big brands" like razer, corsair, etc
be great if you removed the silicon, redid the stablizers and added some gmk caps that would really change the sound… although i guess that rids the purpose of the custom caps lol. sounds pretty ok tho for what it is
Cool that made improvements on the keyboard side but even as someone who likes Attack on Titan this keyboard and desk pad look so ugly lol, especially for that price
I love attack on titan as a fellow weeb but must say that caps design imo is dog water. That mats kinda sick though but yea not worth 50$. xD Also I don't know if it's your mic settings or the stabs but something does for sure sound "slightly pingy".
