@@miguelibrahim2151 idk where you would find that in the first place but, 10 cents? Dam I bet here in the usa it’s gonna be like 2.50 for one (just assuming bcoz inflation)
why stop there? Get a ceramic keycaps, hell, get a marble cable! Well maybe that isn't enough, how about a marble desk? Or a marble chair! No, that isn't enough. Let's also get a marble bed, maybe marble floors to match too. Actually, at that point you should just get marble walls. Well at that point it might probably be too expensive... so just get a marble house! BUT WHY STOP THERE? A marble road, a marble garden, A MARBLE WORLD!

Hey Hipyo, a non-subscriber here! started watching your channel because i wanted to build a keyboard myself, of course. And just getting into it i try to not spend to much money, it doesnt seem to fit with my preferences tho. 75%, ISO - Layout, with knob and prefering a white keyboard. there is either Glorious GMMK Pro or... if i am ok with not having a white keyboard something from Keychron, probably Q1. Do you know other options for me or do i rly have to spend 200€ with switches and keycaps on top?
I adore this and now I want to make my own lmao. Great execution, love the marble aesthetic. In another universe I could see a version of this with drainage holes; then maybe you could put the keyboard on top of a 1-2 mm layer of cork to absorb the excess water. Would probably still want to work with something that doesn’t need to be watered often like these succulents either way, but I love the idea.
I feel like this concept would also work really well with tillandsias - air plants - since they don’t actually need any soil. It looks pretty cool with the succulents!
First he compels me into this freakin hobby and thousands of dollars later I'm expecting my 7th keyboard in the mail... and now this?! Hipyo must be stopped before I'm forced to get this case and put plants in it too T_T /kidding I love this content Hipyo! It looks stunning and sounds amazing. My addiction to RGB and transparent/pudding keycaps keeps me from getting oil kings but they sound so good
I feel you.. I've had an ergodox that I haven't used in a while which i just setup, and now I just spent $200 for nice looking MT3 key caps.. Had to buy the ergodox version $75, ortholinear version (for printed keycaps) $75, and Dvorak; colemak; and co version $35... It is going to look good though. (DROP + MATT3O MT3 3277 CUSTOM KEYCAP SET)
Soo good! Also you inspired me to build my custom keyboard a redragon k552 with a lavender and purple half on the back with foam mod tape mod lubed akko lavender purples with foam pads and pbt octupus keycaps and accency stabs and you inspired me to do all of this thank you so much hipyo
the succulent pot is actually gorgeous man btw it would be easier for you to cut the stems a bit shorter despite the roots, those little bloops are perfectly capable of growing some more out of the thin air (literally), so you could plant them in plain gravel because of that and they'll do just fine without the risk of ruining the keyboard by sand and soil. As for watering they can go weeks and months without it and even thrive and grow more dense prettier rosette, so I would't bother too much with these babes until they grow some roots and then just watered them from time to time with a straw. Looking forward seeing more plant content!
@Hipyo Tech so 1000R - That's literally the radius of the curve if it was drawn as a full circle. So if it was a 500r, it would have a tight curve, if it was a 1500r it would be a more gentle curve. I'm however not sure if they are talking CM or inches, but the gist is to imagine a full circle, the bigger the circle the gentler the curve.
I always love these truly wild projects you do -- living the term "custom" far more than average, in my opinion. I look forward to seeing how these little guys progress over time! Also, as an owner of the Mason 60 who also attempted a gummy o-ring mount, I also learned the hard way that it wouldn't work. Though, if the solution is simply to change stabilizers, I might try again.
This is awesome! I work with plants and this honestly didn't stress me out as much as I thought it would. You seem pretty knowledgeable of plants, so I think I have faith they'll live. Succulents are kinda hard to kill anyway. xd
Enamel filling is really easy. Get some testors model paint and use a toothpick to glob it in. Then just clean it all up with something like alcohol and a paper towel. Everything left will be in the grooves 🙂
@Hipyo Tech - if you're actually wondering what the R means, it's radius of the curve in millimeteres. So 1000R is a curved screen with a radius of 1000mm
this is really cool, but you could just include the esc and f buttons at the top and have the plants slightly further up. since the keyboard would be taller back there it would also allow for more depth, and you could plant cooler stuff in it.
as both a houseplant enthusiast & a keyboard enthusiast, this keyboard is both beautiful & terrifying. so many things could go wrong, even after you've finished making it 😬 maybe air plants would work better? idk i've never had an air plant but there would be less dirt involved at least haha but! that being said i would absolutely love more hipyo houseplant content! maybe a plant tour? 👀
@@HipyoTech fair enough haha, plus I do wonder how you would get air plants to stay in the groove if they're not grounded (pun intended) in anything. in any case, hope the succulents work out for you!
me: -stares at my keeb- also me: -turns to stare at some of my plants- also, also me: -wishes he could make a plant keeb too- That build looks absolutely lovely though!
Yes, let's get some houseplant content. I just built my first keyboard (the Zoom65 Olivia light) and I have to give everyone in this hobby props for precision and patience.
people need to start making keyboards like this id buy one so fast. make the planter a bigger area to put other plants in it like smaller philodendrons (with a self-watering reservoir? so you dont risk getting the board)... maybe there could be a way to make a keyboard with a terrarium thatd be dope
Going out on a limb (see what I did there) and going to say the magnetic detachable USB bit is for safety. If you snag the cord or something it would act like the old mag safe chargers on apple devices? That way it just yanks the cable out and not crash the entire marble enclosure to the ground? Just a thought, but without seeing it in person, would be hard to tell for sure.
Very curious how much a marble keyboard like that weighs. The site doesn't list it, and I assume the nature of how it's made can cause some variance, but still curious as to what it might be. I'm guessing relative to the stone, plants and switches might not be adding that much, lol.
Hey Hipyo, two succulents planted upside-down? You can do better, or was it just for the sound? Love this keyboard. I'd like to see it with chili plants.
the plant 3rd from the left is planted upside down lmao. you can tell because that type of succulent is supposed to have its leaves pointing more upwards(like most plants)
It's funny, a lot of the world views white marble as fancy, but it's actually the cheapest marble mined in Brazil. To the point where all houses there are made of it. US companies mark it up by a butt load. Still a really cool case though.
Actually an epoxy pour into the logo would probably be better. Use quality epoxy like Total Boat products and you can get a clean, customizable solution for the beautiful board!
Get your enamel paint smeer over or use a brush to paint whatever you want to fill with it and wipe the excess off with a dry cloth I like paper towels
It would be better if it had some grass on it, so geymers can touch sumn grass on their keeb😆. Regardless, I want this build so much. Very clean and pleasing! (this is also a suggestion lmao)
I think the 1000 R means if it was a circle the radius would be 1000mm or 1 metre so you are supposed to sit 1 metre away from it. You left a nose smudge on the screen because you were sitting so close =)
Fun fact: the R with curved monitors stands for "radius". A 1000R Monitor would have the same degree of curvature as a circle with a 1000mm (or 1m for our american friends) Radius
Please Hipyo could you please review the CIV tester68 it is such a great beginner bare-bones kit for 30 dollars. I personally have it with lubed akko cs rose reds and it sounds amazing. It comes with case foam AND a high-quality silicone dampener.
For enamel filling, just pick up some model grade enamel and mineral spirits, from the hobby shop. Fill in with a thin brush and use the mineral spirits to clean up the mistakes. 🤌
My guess is that the magnetic usb connection is so if your 30lb marble keyboard falls off your desk, somehow, it doesn't take your entire PC setup with it. You don't want a broken foot and a broken PC.
