Not only can they go from speaking English to Korean, they can make puns between the two languages and will use two words that sound similar, one in Korean and one in English, and flow the meaning between the two, it's really amazing.

Stray kids live up to their name, they produce most of their music, experimenting with different styles and unique delivery, they are not bound to the idea of kpop. 🌟 Members (from oldest) 3:21 Chan - assembled the group, leader, main producer, vocalist and rapper. Part of the producing unit 3racha. 3:10 Lee know - dance leader & choreographer, main vocalist, sub rapper. 1:50 Changbin - 3racha, lyricist, crazy main rapper, vocalist. 2:52 Hyunjin - main dancer, main rapper, lyricist, sub vocal. 1:36 Han - kpop golden genius child, 3racha, lyricist, main rapper, main vocal, main dancer. 4:51 Felix - unique wide singing range, very deep voice. Main rapper, main dancer. 3:04 Seungmin - main vocalist (self proclaimed best rapper 😂) 3:14 I.N - main vocalist, sub rapper, maknae on top.

Thanks for the reaction! I absolutely love Stray Kids! (to the question about if K-pop is rap) K-pop (at least, the way I've seen it described) is more of an industry rather than a genre- as different groups and songs have varying sounds and genres within themselves. Stray Kids’ discography alone has like 40 different genres These songs are almost all entirely produced (and written) by the members themselves, mainly the members in the subunit 3Racha (Three-Racha), which are Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han (though the other 5 members are credited in a handful of songs as well) Most of the members do understand and are pretty fluent in English (as two grew up in Australia, one lived in Malaysia, two also lived in America for a little bit) All their English is improving daily! Sorry that was kind of long oops- but please react to more Stray Kids in the future! :))

@RM_formerlyjustRMbutYTsucks
Two of the eight members are Australian and Tiger JK grew up in the US, so there are three native English speakers in this particular MV. Additionally, one member is basically fluent (despite what you're told, it's because of consistent study, not because he magically mastered and retained the language from a few months' exposure in the US during kindergarten). Two more are conversational (one from study, one from several years among an international community in Malaysia, where English is common). Another could hold a conversation and has a flair for bilingual puns. Another could converse as well, with a little more patience and a lot less punning. And the final one would be able to communicate enough to function, but has explicitly decided that there are enough English speakers in the group and is instead mastering Japanese so he can be of use to the group on that front instead. But yeah, easy convo with the majority of them and functional communication with the rest would be possible.

You were right on target for their name.. The leader (Bang Chan) has shared that they feel they are Stray Kids and their goal is to reach out to all the other strays on the planet, so everyone feels they have a home with the group. Definitely search YT for 3racha if you want to focus on their rap heavier tracks. But you really can't go wrong, most of their discography has rap to some degree (K-pop does like to mix it up within songs, too)! As I am used to U.S. rap, what drew me to the group is that (like you heard right off the bat) the two that you pointed out (Changbin - in the cowboy hat, and Han - the one sliding in after Tiger JK) really seem to have the grit & power that I'm used to.. It's a challenge to NOT write a book when pointing out all the things that I think make this group so unique (and well-worth checking out), but I will stop here! Note: if you see "SKZ" when going thru YT listings it is short for "Stray Kids", so don't hesitate to check those out! Hope you listen to more of their catalog, including live performances, too!

kpop is more of an industry than a genre. Kpop artists are good at mixing and combining whatever style of music and they prefer, and Stray Kids is in a class of their own (S Class) you can find multiple genres of music in just one Stray Kids song in the way that the band produces their songs it always works out exactly how you would want a song to be.

Stray Kids actually have 2 members from Australia, Chan(dude lighting money on fire) and Felix(red fur coat) so they are fluent in English :) but a bunch of the other members are really good at English too. Many have already commented about them producing their own music thing i love about while it is more promoninent these days in kpop to help contribute to the music production as idols is that through their content you can tell how much fun and passion they have with it especially if you watch their mini doco intro vids for albums or some of their streams or variety vids when they talk about making music together or with their div one team or collabs. This is also a really big moment this song especially for 3racha as Tiger JK is considered like a pioneer in bringing rap and hip hop to korea he is one of the firsts to really make/promote it there as originally from US. The behind the scenes is super sweet cause 3racha especially Han (guy who rapped after Tiger JK) was fangirling so hard literally speachless as they look up to him so much as his own idol :D

Thanks for reacting to this song, it's honestly become one of my favourites right now. The entire album is super fire, so if you haven't heard it yet, you might like ITEM, GET LIT, Super Bowl too. Most of the members are pretty much fluent in English, and they write their own lyrics so that's why there's a really nice switch between the languages. They produce most of the music too alongside other producers and composers. For other Stray Kids rap songs I'd recommend Han's "I Got It", Muddy Water, HEYDAY and Changbin's "Streetlight".

(sorry in advance for the long comment haha) stray kids (8 members) are definitely worth getting into. they have a huge discography with over 40+ genres. all the members are extremely talented in rapping and singing and dancing. typically kpop groups have certain positions for each member (like main rapper, main dancer etc) but stray kids are so versatile that they have no set positions. kpop itself has so many genres like rap, R&B, edm, rock, pop etc. stray kids write their own lyrics and produce their own music which is not common in kpop. also their name meaning is actually pretty deep. so stray means lost and they call themselves stray kids bc they have all been in a place where they have felt lost and have had really difficult times so they refer to themselves as stray kids bc even though they’re not in those dark places anymore, they still have them from time to time. also their motto is “stray kids everywhere all around the world you make stray kids stay” meaning everywhere around the world someone is feeling lost and alone but they’re never truly alone when other people are also experiencing similar emotions. the name for their fans is “Stay” and one of the members said if you take out the R in Stray, you get the word Stay and that is the reason of stray kids. the reason why they push themselves pass their limit and always strive to get better and be better. so that’s like the meaning behind their name which connects to their fandom name! some song recommendations from them would be Gods Menu, Domino (doesn’t have a music video but there are lyrics and a dance practice), Venom, thunderous, Easy, and definitely check out the rest of the 5 Star album (the same album where top line is from)!

Freeze, Easy, Muddy Water (4 members), Heyday (producing team within Stray Kids) , 3racha (producing team within Stray Kids) , S-Class, Super Bowl, Item, Hall of Fame, and Double Knot ( english version and korean version). Another good one would be The Tortoise and The Hare, but it is super experimental rap and some people dont like it much. Thank you for the reaction! I'll definitely be subscribing for more!

Even though we mistakenly use the word kpop as a genre in reality Kpop its a whole music industry. But music wise its a mix of multiple genres (so pop, hiphop, rap, r&b, ballad, edm and its subgenres) In kpop groups you usually find 1-2 people with a rapper position but they might have small li e distribution depending on the group's main sound. In StrayKids case their sound is rap based and out of 8 members 4/5 have an official rapper position. These guys also produce and write their own music (3 members make the subunit "3racha" and they are the main producers) on writing their input is like 99 if not even 100% while between the production and arrangement is 90% (and collab with other producers from their company jyp) Their group name derives from the fact that everyone at some point of their life feel kinda lost in this world (especially younger ones), that's also why they have the motto "STRAY KIDS EVERYWHERE, ALL AROUND THE WORLD". + Since debut they have always released many songs with topics about life struggles such as depression, anxiety, young love, self esteem, perfectionism, toxicity, hate, fear, insomnia, not letting out negative emotions, solitude...
@JSKZG
@JSKZG Год назад
THEY WRITE AND PRODUCE THEIR OWN MUSIC 90% OF THE TIME :) Most kpop is not like this ....Stray Kids is rap heavy. They are not as popular in Korea because their music is considered "loud" music. The leader and the one with the deep voice are Australian. They speak full English. A few of the other speak pretty good English and the rest are learning lol. Stray Kids definitely has a unique sound.

thank you for checking out our boys Stray Kids and yes it means exactly what you thought it does. They are stray kids and don't fit the normal standards they make their own path. I really don't like the k-pop term for their music but that is just me. The reason is k-pop is used loosely when it includes many genres of music under that term. You can have k-rap, k-rock, k-jazz, k punk rock, k musical, k pop ... the list goes on. The thing that sets Stray Kids apart is they produce their own music, meaning the write, compose, arrange and produce 99.9% and the 1% they have help they are still part of the process. Stray Kids love to experiment with their music and so you can have many beat changes, styles and genres all mixed in one song. They have no boundaries and love making all kinds of music. Most of their songs are heavy rap songs with vocals. But don't let that full you they can create some of the best all vocal songs too. They can all rap, dance and have amazing vocals. 2 members are from Australia both fluent in English, most of the other members also have very good understanding of English with reading and speaking the language some more fluent than others. They are a great bunch of little souls that will make you smile or dance with amazing music. They put out more content than most. This song is the b-side song for their latest album and it could have been a title track. they had 12 tracks of the 5-star album and they have 6 videos for this album. In k-pop they usually only have 1 music video for their title track per album. Also what sets Stray Kids apart is their company JYP let the leader hand pick all his members before they put them through a reality elimination show prior to debut. They all made it and debut in 2018. The leader Bang Chan trained for 13 years and created the stray kids name and logo from his own hand writing. He also named the fandom Stay. No other company in the k-pop music industry has ever allowed a leader to have so much control over picking their members and creating their own name. If you love rap then you will love this group. Their highest m/v and song is Gods Menu m/v. I think you will love it also check out Venom m/v and Freeze m/v along with their latest album. They have a very big discography with over 170 songs get ready for a wild ride.

Thanks for reacting! Love topline this album 5 star was super fun they did a pretty even split with half hype hip hop and more dance/ballads. Highly rec a listen think you will love some of the other songs. I also do recommend more of their b-sides(not title/main track so for this album that would be s-class this just means usually main promoting song and for many the only one that has an mv but with stray kids they always have like at least four or five songs an album with mvs and sometimes additional with mini mvs) as some of my favs you will here more of their different sounds. Usually with skz i say album listen just cause the songs and genres can be so different in one album which is common for kpop however skz still maintains their signature sound. They put a tonne of content even outside music to long to list but great song to start! Glad you enjoyed :D

The Leader Bang Chan produces all their beats with his other 2 memebers Han (ur fav in blue) & Changbin (cowboy hat). Han & Changbin are incredible rappers & gifted lyricists. Together they make up the producing team of 3Racha within the group. (Fun fact these 3 guys actually formed 3Racha as a rap trio in Korea before they formed the group Stray Kids & debuted. They were releasing their music online with no label at the time. Now they are masters of production & official members of Korea Music Copyright Assoc w/ over 138 songs credited to them. Really all their music is 🔥 but if you are a rap fan I suggest you check out: Heyday, 3RACHA, Mirror Mirror (by Milli feat Changbin), MUDDY WATER, Tourtise and the Hare, I GOT IT (hans solo track), S-Class, God's Menu, Miroh Double Knot, EASY, Domino, Cheese, Venom, Freeze, Maniac, Hellavator. These all have rap versus that are very impressive. Keep in mind Stray Kids sound is not typical of Kpop because essentially, they dont have a specific genre. Chan likes to mix beats from all genres together in 1 track, essentially giving Stray Kids their own unique sound often referred to as Mala Taste. Its noisy & loud & often chaotic which gained them some harsh words from critics & haters in the early years. So they clapped back making music louder & called their next album Noisy! 🤣Hope you enjoy the Stray Kids Rabbit hole. I don't think you will be disappointed. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I would say 1 third members fluent in english, 2nd are very good english and third understand conversations/speak limited. They also do music in japanese (most kpop artists) so they have full japanese albums and members are fluent. Bang Chan (Chris) and Felix are both Australian and felix barely knew any korean when he auditioned originally and almost didn't join becuase of this but worked hard to learn :D Very common for multiple languages like XG girls they did a cypher and that was korean, english and japanese.
